This is the best stereo shop around I've been working with Timothy the manager for more than 6 years now I've brought several cars here at least 10 and my own personal truck I had 2 jl Audio w7 13 and a half inch subwoofers ,32 speakers 12 tweeters 4 amps, 5 TVs, they did my rims tires, lift, tint alarm every light inside and out. One of the worst audio/tinting shops in long beach. If yelp had no stars I would prefer that than giving them one star. I called them about getting my windows tinted and installing a sub in my car. The dude who answered the phone told me cheap prices over the phone, it was not until I got there they suddenly changed the prices saying that ohh.. now there's extra tax. Anyways, I sucked up the bullshit they gave me and god knows why I still gave them my money for tinting my windows and installing a sub. The tinting job was horrible, it had massive bubbles in it and when I went back there to get it fixed they said ohh... its water it will evaporate in a couple of days.. what bull crap!!! The sub they installed stopped working after 10 mins of installation and when I went back the third time for the sub they were forcing my to buy a new and expensive amp just because my car had a good audio system and their crappy amp was only compatible with after market audio systems. In short, stay away from this place. Everyone who works there is a crook. If you want to save time, money and don't want any headache, don't even bother calling them. read more

Brought my brand new 2017 Nissan Altima to get my windows tinted. Oscar and Sam took good care of me and my car. They went over the different shades I can get with my car. I came to pch audio because i was refered by a friend. I decided to have an alarm installed in my 95 bmw and i come back to check up on my car and they tell me my door locks are broken and my windows dont work properly and asked if they want me to have them fix them for an additional charge. There was nothing wrong with either. Than i agreed for a viper alarm and when i got my car back the next day i find out that they put a autopage alarm in (clearly not a viper). The alarm is $80 online and they charged me 500 for it. I had to get towed 3 times so far because of this alarm. It kept blowing mu ignition fuse. So finally i disconnected the alarm and the problem stoped. These guys dont know what they r doing. The car wouldnt start with the door open nor will the windows roll up.. Just nothing but problems and im still stuck paying 500 for this POS that isnt even connected anymore because i ran out of AAA calls read more

This place is a waist of your money! NO WAY IS THIS A "ONE STOP SHOP"! YOU WILL RETURN USUALLY BECAUSE of the very poor installation with the limited knowledge of cars there staff and management have. This shop gives a bad name to the products they overprice and sell. Over all the worst experiance I have ever had with any customer service. Not only is it just about the money, the workers are careless bias and rude. Ray I decided to interview PCH due to their BBB rating and also because they are the authorized dealer for several manufactures. During this time, they were extremely patient in answering all of my questions and going over cost for each item. I must say that I am extremely happy with the workmanship performed on my vehicle. I have high expectations and they met all of them except for est. time of completion. Timothy is extremely shady and will tempt you by claiming that he's giving you a deal when it is CLEARLY not. He is the most transparent bullshitter I've ever come across in the auto business. I literally heard him claim that he is only making $10 by selling a surround sound system to a man and his daughter, while at the same time overcharging the hell out of them. This man is ridiculous and anyone who actually believes his "deals" and what he has to say needs to check themselves and go online for a better deal. I initially found PCH Custom Audio by having to get an interlock device installed in my car, and they were the installers appointed. As many problems as I've had with my interlock device I've never had a problem with service and help with the problems when it came to this shop. The guys here are so helpful and make the customer feel very welcomed and informed. There's really few auto shops I've found (especially as a woman not to car savvy) that help out as much as these guys do explaining everything and making the most of what you need to get done to your car from financing to the time frame it's handled at their best, they're on point. So I definitely recommend coming here for all your auto needs especially if you need Audio hooked up the stuff in their showroom is top of the line. And if your doomed with the interlock burden make sure they're your installers because as unhappy as you'll be having that thing hooked into your ride you know your service center will make it a smooth ride. Please do not bring your car here! You get what you PAY for. They ruined my headlights and the whole wiring system on my bimmer. Then the guy that is there all the time( tall middle eastern) tries to push you to buy other things that you do not need and tries to hit on you the whole damn time you are there (gross). He kept lying to me left and right. He quoted me at 120 and ended paying 200+ for low quality HID's that ruined my headlights. The next day my headlights did not work. This place is ran by incompetent people that do botch jobs on cars. I also heard many of your reviews are fake and that this so called business buy their reviews. How low can you go? I have heard so many bad reviews about this place from word of mouth, but found out too late. Do not take your car here, you will end up wasting your time looking for a legitimate shop that will fix the problem they created.Do not be surprise if your car start having some strange problems or if you find broken, ripped out things from your car. Oh do not believe the wait time he tells you. Wait time: He told me 45 minutes for HID's and ended up waiting 3 hours and next thing you know it is close time. I was told to come back the next day and till 7PM the next day my car was ready. So, a total of 1 day and a half. Really? How in the world is this place still in Business? I do not know. What is up with all the fake BBB(Better Business Bureau) stickers? I think they are trying to look good with BBB approvals(fake). Thee worst shop in Long Beach!!!! There's nothing custom about this place. They rigged up a kit for my stereo because they didn't have the right parts. They scratched up all around the stereo including my new stereo. They messed up my AC & Defrost. Then when I went back in to fix it. They treated me very bad.. The manager yelled & attempted to fight me. While I was there 2 other customers were complaining about the same thing. At the end of it all my new "Custom" stereo looks horrible! Just another shop where they try to work you over and treat you as if you have STUPID written on your forehead after they take your money. I wish I would've just have gotten my alarm installed in downtown LA. At least I knew I was dealing with straight shooters because there's more to choose from. Jason, or what ever his name is told me that they'd "program" my truck to stay on longer because it's a diesel. They never did. He then tells me I needed an additional module in order to have that feature. I could've told you that I don't have a turbo timer. After my install he told me that I'd get a 3 month trial to try the app on the iPhone. The moment I entered my CC info, boom I am charged 100$ for the year. I go back to have this cleared up and he gives me a spiel about who knows what. I call him back last week to try and set something up after I came back again to get the trial he told me he could get me my trial, but I had to come between a certain day and time. As if I had not wasted enough time. During a conversation on 4/7/16 he HANGS UP ON ME! Really?! Needless to say I'll never go back to this place or recommend anyone. I'm going to contact Viper and let them know of their bait and switch tactics and sub par customer service. I'm so tempted to rip that alarm out and dump it on their counter and be rid myself of the experience. I've already paid for it so I'm stuck with it. I'll just go to another shop here Salt Lake City that's affiliated with Viper. HEAD THE WARNING PEOPLE. This is not an exaggeration, this is my personal experience. I regret it from the moment I began dealing with the "salesman". We emailed back and forth on what I was wanting. I'm also stupid for allowing myself to be taken on this ride as well. This place sucks!!!!! I spent 800 dollars on just new headlights with hid's and a 100 dollar stereo and to smoke my stock tail lights! Waited all day and when they were done my tail lights were pitch black (which I asked for the lighter tint) and to top it off I got tickets for it because they spray painted it !! And therefore is unviewable during the day and when my lights are visible at night you can see drip marks and spots that are really pitch black, the stereo I bought and they installed there, wasn't done right they broke the harness mount that I had to re buy a whole new harness (at another location) because my whole stereo fell inside!! And to top it off my hid headlights are always flashin on and off and this will be my 3rd time coming back to them to get it redone because I bought insurance on the hid's and everytime I go they make me wait 6 hrs and question me if I have the receipt for proof of insurance as if I haven't came back a million of times for them to refix it! And the drive is killer to get there which is a waste of my money on gas because I don't live in long beach or nearby, I seen this ad in a car seller magazine(figures) and overall don't ever come here ! Just some advice because this is the worst suckiest, shittiest, rip off, unprofessional, not knowing what they're doing place ever!!!! read more

I went in here to get a specific Kenwood radio. They told me they could get it so i put a down payment on it.. Well i ended up finding a similar radio then what i was getting with them for less then half the price. And they wouldn't return my down payment. They lied and said that they had placed the order already and couldn't cancel it. The kendwood ware house was simply a mile from there. And they wanted to charge me a 60 dollar restocking fee. So i ended up getting the radio anyway. So they rip me off and kept the remote that came with the radio. And told me the remote was an extra 35 dollars. So i had to call Kenwood. I asked kenwood if the radio came with the remote and they told me yes. They had to call the shop and make them give me the remote. Kenwood gives you like a year or 2 warrenty and the radio ended up messing up and they lied to me saying that the warrenty was expired only after like a month and that i needed to pay 35 dollars to get it repaired. What a rip off. They lie to you about everything. One of My friends has a sound shop and ended up helping me contact kenwood to get this cleared up with the shop. Never again will i buy anything in this place. This is what happens when your in a hurry to get a new radio that just came out at a different shop then ware you usually buy your things. Don't believe there lies. They will end up over charging you for remotes and everything that actually comes with your radio. read more

Today ran into a problem, my car didnt start in the morning so i got super freaked out because im a girl ans in know nothing about cars, anyways i called around some mechanics and i was told that it might be the alarm system. Im from signal hill so i called the nearest shop and was given no support at all, then i called pch custom audio and sam answered the phone, he was extremely helpful and took the time on the phobe to help me start my car. Sam gave me some instructions on the phone and after a few minutes my car started. I am completely thankful to pch custom audio because since i dont have aaa i was forced to pay for a tow truck plus the shops fee but i didnt have to because sam took care of me, knowing that i was not a previous customer, great job pch!!! read more

Hi, After a $1600 purchase of a stereo and Viper Alarm system I had to bring back my company vehicle 5 times for them to get it right. After the initial installment the Stereo acted erratic and was faulty. However the installment was not done correctly and when the Radio was on my turn signals would not work. I brought the truck back twice and they put a guy on it but never fixed it. When I called the manager of the Long Beach store he was defiant and argumentative to my complaint and brought the conversation to the point where I decided to take my case to Small Claims court. Before I filed I did get a call from the owner Andrew and told him what happened. He asked me to come to the Wilmington Store to be taken care of. After my car spent another 2 days in Wilmington, costing me $150 per day my Truck is not working they finally got the stereo to work and they upgraded the model for free for the hassle. The hassle was not yet over. Though they fixed the stereo they disconnected the Alarm. Andrew sent his guy to my work to fix the problem. I told Andrew I would rewrite my review to reflect they did do the right thing at the end but to a bottom line cost to me of $825 in keeping my company vehicle off the road for 5.5 days after the initial day to install the equipment. The workers at this place are are all good and the the Manager in Wilmington is a a nice kid. The best advise to you about PCH and LBC. Run. The manager is unprofessional and rude and I got the feeling he was looking for anyway just to not do the work. If you use these guys then go to Wilmington. read more

Possibly the case of plain old miscommunication. I've been to this place twice. For two different but similar jobs. First visit was for LED installation, which I bought myself from auto zone. (keep in mind this rating/review has nothing to do with first visit). Install was successful. But I was told because of the quality of light will eventually would go out. Which of course a few months later, one did. I finally decided to come back and get the lights replaced with LED multi function music modifying mood ( lights that sync with music). They didn't have the lights in stock, which is fine no big deal. I was told that the light would come in , in3 days (Thursday). The price was fair which included installation. When the light arrived , I never got a call. I had to call them. Which is fine maybe they were busy. Thursday comes it is now after 4, I say can I bring my car in . They then tell they can't work on it , because they are busy and still have a lot of cars to work on still. Understandable. Then they asked if I could just bring it on Monday. Mind you, that would have been a week. I asked is it possible to bring it on Friday they say can you bring it at 10. Unfortunately , I work and couldn't. Which i told them. Then they said okay well what about 4. Sadly I don't get off til 5. I asked if I could bring it at 6. They said it was fine. When I got there they then said that I missed my appointment and it was at 1. I then decided that I no longer wanted to have the job done with them, because it was way to much confusion going when it came to doing the install. The next day I tried to go to a few places to get the lights install. Come to find out, the lights they sold me were for the house. . I ended up going back that Friday morning, because it seemed as if no one knew how to do the install. Even though, I was upset the situation Jason was more then happy to do the install. I just had to leave my car. No biggie. Besides the miscommunication, these guys actually do, do a great job. They provide a service which many audio places do not. Would I recommend others to come here. Yes, but just make sure you have time. Because they are always busy. And tend to overbook themselves. But so far, my lights work will & no problems so far. read more

I called for an estimate and brand of film they used for cars and was told it was a Johnson Film. The price they quoted was reasonable but when I got there the film brand changed from Johnson to Solar Guard (which Mario said was a better quality). So I went along and noticed the tint installer (Valiente) was installing Express Window Films which is lesser quality compared to Johnson. When asked why is he installing Express Window Film, Mario said it was only the box and insisted it was Solar Guard. I asked for 2 different shades and both came in the same Express Window Film box. The workmanship looks great and I don't mind the price but I do value honesty. read more

I went this past Saturday (3/18) to have a new radio installed in my car. Earlier that week I had went on to see Jason and he quoted me a price of 130.00 that included the kit I would need. I couldn't stay the day I went and checked the price so I told him I would be back. So I went in Saturday and he wasn't there. I arrived a few minutes before they opened,went in at 9 and a guy helped me. (Forgot his name)I told him that I had the 10% off coupon on Yelp. So instead of giving me my 10% he decided for me what price he was gonna charged, after I told him Jason told me a total of 130.00 with installation being 25.00. The gentleman charged me 39.99 for installation. He tried explaining that Jason gave me the wrong price. Either way I told him he didn't honor the 10% off and I didn't ask if he way was cheaper. So after my initial cost of 152.00 ,then honoring the 10% I only paid 125.00. So my way was cheaper. My car was ready in about an hour. If you have a coupon on Yelp it needs to be honored. read more
