Despite this written agreement, the shop manually entered a $900.00 'Custom Amount' plus tax on my receipt, totaling $983.25. This is a blatant violation of California Business and Professions Code § 9884.9, which prohibits charging a penny over a written estimate without a new, signed authorization. It is also a violation of the Consumer Legal Remedies Act (Civil Code § 1770) regarding deceptive 'Bait and Switch' pricing. Charging nearly $1,000 for window tint on a small 4-door car is ridiculous. There is nothing 'prestige' or luxury about this service that justifies a 40% markup over their own written quote. The shop ignored three separate formal attempts to resolve this billing error. Formal complaints have been filed with appropriate entities. Hopefully, this saves others the headache of being overcharged. Shady business practices, please avoid. This past weekend, I tried Beach City Auto Detail and finally found a place that does it right. I asked the owner about the difference between Package 3 and Package 4--the $80 Ultimate Orbital Wax and the $90 Premium Carnauba Paste Wax. He walked me through both options and recommended what made the most sense based on the condition of my car. Before I could even choose, he offered to upgrade me one package at no charge since it was my first visit. That alone showed how much they value their customers and want them to return. It's no surprise they've been in business for more than 25 years. I've also included a photo of their current services and pricing for anyone interested. The service took about 45 minutes, and they have a nice shaded waiting area where you can watch your car being detailed. I decided to walk over to Clancy's across the street, grab a cold one, and watch the France-England World Cup third-place match--which was an absolute banger with 10 goals--and returned about an hour later. When I got back, my car was parked off to the side looking like a beaut. I gave it a quick walk-around and was stoked to see it shining like a million bucks. There were no missed spots, the inside and outside were both done right, and it looked as clean as the day I drove it off the lot. One of the guys saw me checking it out, walked over, started it up, and pulled it around for me. The interior looked pristine, and the included air freshener was the cherry on top. Because of the great service, free upgrade, and care they showed my car, I handed the guy a $20 tip. That brought the full Premium Carnauba Paste Wax detail to $100 out the door--which anyone who has visited nearby car washes knows is a killer deal for a full wash and wax. I will 100% be back. Beach City Auto Detail is now where I'll take both of my vehicles, and I actually look forward to returning because I know I'll leave happy. If you're tired of half-done jobs that leave you frustrated and still put a dent in your wallet, give these guys a shot. I highly recommend them.

Stay away from this place. Do not spend your money here or deal with them. I went to them several months ago to get a system installed in my new car. Had to go back the very next day because the guy didn't connect the system right. He had an attitude, as if I were bugging him when it was HIM who messed up the installation in the first place. And my system hasn't been sounding right every since I got it installed. Couldn't place my finger on it. But I wasn't getting any push from the front speakers. Took it to another installation expert and the car is wired wrong. The amps are pushing the subwoofer only and I'm getting no fade or balance to adjust the front speakers at all. Now this new place is trying to charge me $200 to rewire the system when it should have been done right THE FIRST TIME! Unprofessional attitudes, poor installation. Just a nightmare! These are the guys you want to do business with in any business -- knowledgeable, friendly, fast, and a fair price. We were told the amp was out at other places and that it would cost a fortune. Cesar checked it out. It was the radio, not the amp. We got an upgraded radio INSTALLED for less than the others were asking just for the parts. On instagram they promoted/offered a deal saying $150 for all 7 windows, but when I got there they said "nothing was said about that, it's $150 for only 4 windows and another $150 for the windshield." I was really bummed because I felt scammed and lied to. Also, the owner seemed annoyed that another customer(me) came in, I understand it's stressful but why accept appointments if you didn't wanna do it. I agreed to getting it done anyway since it was fairly cheap even though I was lied to. I waited 20 min just for them to tell me the tint guy called off so they couldn't do it anymore. I made the appointment a over week ago and drove 35 min to get here...... I was really disappointed and upset. Listen to the reviews, they're not lying. Bad service and they're liars! I ended up finding a nice tint service that did all 7 windows $220 nearby.
