Has anyone ever bought a product from PC World and tried returning it? What a nightmare! The interrogation of what you are doing makes you feel like you are the one in the wrong and should stay home and deal with the products fault yourself. Staff are normally rude and never know what the hell they are talking about. We bought a laptop that had a faulty DVD drive; they just wouldn't exchange it as if we were lying! There is a huge PC World near Brent Cross. Biggest in Europe they say, and I love going around seeing what is new. Sorry to the guys at PC World but I will always by online as its cheaper! I am not generally a great fan of PC World and remember receiving rather average service in the past. But I have to admit that today's visit was an example of perfect customer relations. It probably helps going mid-week and mid-morning rather than on a busy Saturday afternoon, but still ... Following a major disappointment trying to buy MS Office online - what could be easier than paying your £200 and downloading a piece of software in return? Well, everything went wrong and several phone calls and angry tweets later I ended up on the high street after all. Should have come here in the first place! I found the service to be very poor from the staff. I was told something about a product that was completely false, they are covered in there return policy in matters likes that. I would not recommend shopping here for electronics or anything that would require assistance in store. read more

I came in here to buy a laptop and I could not see one person to help me in site. I had to go down stairs to the front of the store and ask for assistance. I was told I had to wait as all the staff was in a meeting. I waited and waited after 20minutes I finally got to speak to a staff member who I only saw behind the desk. This person directed me to speak to another member. After being in the store for 40 minutes, the sales person tried to up sell me many not needed items. I was not pleased with this as I am not techy person but don't sell me things that I really do not need. Also I thought it was not great value. It stated of a special price but I saw the same item at another 2 different stores at a much better value. Don't go there if your limited for time, without shopping around. Also be aware for the sales person not to up sell many extra items that you really don't need. read more

Pc world kensington is based over two floors. The basemnet sells pc`s and laptop top also lagers item like lcd and plasma tv`s and office kit such as printers etc.. On the ground level the sell many part sf pc and all the bits you might nee if you want to upgrade and build your own pc. They also sell games consoles and games at the rear of the store and have a good demo area for xbox ps3 & nintendo wii. You can sit on a chair and try out new titles. Impossible to find someone to help give you info and I find the range of products is somewhat limited. I'd like to see more high end product and therefore a larger range. Also more new technology and demonstrations. I usually pop in here wanting to buy something and then I don't find it here. I guess I wish pc world was more like John Lewis for tech. read more

This shop sell computer stuff and electronics. I go here whenever I need a part quickly, or just to browse what offers they have available. They have two floors, with escalators leading down to the basement. Full of stuff, some overpriced as you can get cheaper elsewhere such as online. read more

I enjoyed going to this place for little bits and bobs, as far as it goes if your not a tech expert they defiantly help you on what you need for what you want. After deciding to go travelling for the summer I needed a laptop which could both do what I needed but retaining a high power charge, thankfully instead of spending hours surfing the web I had a 10 min chat and got what I needed right away. read more

I was sold a faulty iPad and after returning to the store with full receipts, the device and the apple diagnostic report stating that the device was faulty, I was promised I would have vouchers to purchase a replacement product in 2-3 days. Difficult as I work solely on this device but I had to wait until they call with the voucher code. At the end of day 4 still no call or code and no replacement device. I'm still unable to work. After further hours on the phone it has been suggested I may receive a small amount (about half the cost of a similar replacement) in another 5 days. I have been lied to by the store promising me a replacement within 3 days. I have been offered half the amount of a replacement which they are saying may arrive 2 weeks from me visiting the store. All this after THEY supplied me with a faulty device. If I had bought this from Apple they would have supplied me with a like for like replacement at the same time I was in store getting the diagnostic report and I would not have lost 2 working weeks with a faulty device. This review is more about the whole PC World company rather than this particular store. I bought an item online and wanted to make some changes. Well, the guys who were so caring before I bought the product didn't even bother to reply the emails nor answering my calls, keeping me waiting over 40 minutes on the phone. Worse customer service ever. Do yourself a favor and buy your next laptop somewhere else. They offer only a 1-year guarantee in all their products compared to the 3 years offered by John Lewis, for example, which has similar prices. read more

I bought a 52 inch Samsung in August which was delivered while I was out of apartment,I'm not a London resident and they have extremely poor installation. Yesterday I informed the store of bad installation and challenged store quality control and assurance policy which apparently doesn't exist. The store doesn't want to fix the installation claiming it is after 3 months although I approve I was out of country since installation I have paid £1,399 for TV and £149 for delivery and installation What a bad experience and poor service Don't trust store while you are away read more
