Even to this day, a year later - I am even using it to type this review, haha! Fabulous. I popped into House of Computers on the 3rd December 2019. It appears they have changed the layout of the shop. I think this was a positive decision lead by the merchandising team - I applaud whoever decided to make this happen. The gentleman who served me when I acquired my laptop in 2018 was not working to that day. This was a disappointment, as I was hoping to be served by the same sales representative. Not to worry, I'm not a fussy person. I spoke to a younger white gentleman called Gideon, who was polite and answered my questions clearly and made sure I was a satisfied customer. I asked Gideon, the gentleman who served me, for a "Micro USB cable" to charge my Sat Nav, which I keep in my car. Gideon showed me one, in a white colour, and even took it out of the box to show me what it looked like. I then stated this was the product I wished to acquire. Gideon asked me which method of payment I would prefer to use. The product was a total of nine pounds and nintety-nine pence, a devine amount to pay with cash. Gideon took the payment and proceeded to enter something on his computer screen. A few moments later I was handed a receipt. I, can confirm I left a happy customer. It wasn't until I got home that I took the product I acquired out of my bag, followed by the receipt, that I noticed something on the receipt. The company name, stated in bold writing, at the top of the receipt, was a different name to House of Computers Ltd. Forgive me, I have now lost the receipt and can't remember the exact name. I, myself are now believing that as the member of staff who served me on the 3rd December was not there when I bought my laptop in 2018, that he is using the premises (situated on Tottenham Court Road) to support his own business. As he does not seem to fit in with the people working in the computer store, I can only assume my doubt is correct. However, I must imply that the Micro USB cable I purchased is functioning wonderfully in my car. I hope that the management of "House of Computers Ltd" address this, and I look forward to my next visit to raise the issue with the gentleman and alert the management team. I plan to visit in the new year, between the end of January and beginning of February.

I was visiting London when my laptop stopped working because of an error which according to multiple online computer forums was a minor issue. I took my laptop and left it with a computer engineer at Epsilon, who said (after diagnosis) that they would charge £80 for fixing the problem. (1) The problem was not fixed, because they could not get the operating system installed because apparently ALL the USB ports were not working (even though they were a few weeks back). (2) The data had to be transferred from my laptop's hard drive to a USB drive to be given back to me and the computer engineer disappeared from the store while the data was transferring, without a word (unacceptable). (3) When I asked his colleagues where the engineer working on my laptop had gone, they were utterly rude, unhelpful, and kept saying he will be back in a few minutes (he did not). When the engineer called me later he misbehaved and had no sense of customer service whatsoever. When I told him that this sort of behavior was unacceptable and that I was under immense stress, he hung up the phone on me! When I finally went to collect my laptop, the engineer and his colleagues were utterly obnoxious and started blaming me. On top of that, they said they would charge me the £80 (even though the laptop was not fixed) plus £30 for the transferring of data. I lost precious time and £110 over nothing (with no student discount). But more than the fee I was charged, I was surprised by the sheer demeanor and attitude of the staff and engineers at Epsilon. The men working here are cold, rude, and lack any sense of responsibility. This is the WORST experience I have had with any computer shop in London and I strongly recommend that this business be avoided by everyone.

They told my frd later in the week that the motherboard crashed and that there was rust on the motherboard, they said it would cost 150 pounds more to fix it. (really that sounds like someone wants to milk the cow; cause the mother board isn't available in the market and how were they going to fix an issue that I think wasn't really the truth) Worried my frd told me about it. I offered to go and check it out. {to me this was really absurd as a working laptop motherboard wouldn't crash after it reaches the store(Dr)}. We went to the store, they told us that no the laptop is working we fixed the IC for power supply on the motherboard. (really that seems really strange from crash to working without asking whether I wanted it fixed) My frd was very happy that it was working, but i smelt something fishy so i asked the person what the IC was and what he fixed. (he gave me series of various vague answers, to which i further probed to find out) He told me 35 pound to tell me what he did [that is out right a sign of something shady] He tried to quickly change the topic by saying i was young and didnt know about PC. He added by saying that he had a Phd in Electronics (O i was so sure that was a whole load of crap, if he was it would be like a second for him to tell me the IC number) I played along and asked him his Phd topic and were he did it from. But he tried to dodge the question by asking me my age and that he has ran the store for the number of years I was. He never could get around to telling me what his topic was (do people forget things as imp as that). Conclusion: He just managed to charge my frd 90 pounds for just doing nothing to the computer in fact he destroyed the mouse pad and the right click. My advice : If you have an issue dont go to them if you dont know anything about technology cause they are waiting to help you donate to the "Epsilon PC fund".
