Portions are huge and service is fast, but the food is not good. Salt and pepper pork chops are way too salty and mostly breading.

PC is a pretty decent option for Chinese food in the Canyon Park area of Bothell, especially compared to what are mostly fast food options surrounding it. It's become one of my go-to choices for lunch, due to a good selection of lunch combos at fair prices and generous serving sizes. I like that your order is cooked fresh, but keep in mind that it may take a little longer, especially if it's busy. The proprietors are friendly, although they can sometimes be a bit slow with drink refills. Despite the occasional miscues, it's become a favorite with the folks at the office. Overall, I give them a solid 3.5 stars (although Yelp doesn't have the ability to half stars). read more

This is a Chinese restaurant not for those who order the typical chinese food (e.g. General Tso's or Sweet and Sour etc). Instead try the the items in the China Town Special section of the menu. The chef is from Hong Kong and through my brief conversations with the host and chef, it seems that these are the recipes he loves to cook. I am in love with the Chow Fun noodles with chicken and I then I hit it with the sweet chili sauce they have.... mmmmmmmmmmmm... sooo good. I've had their chow mein and Singapore style street noodles and they're great as well. I've also had their Honey Walnut Prawns and it's been as good as any other I've had elsewhere. We were exhausted from 2 hrs of aqua play but yet starving for Chinese food. Really skeptical about decent (note: I said decent, not good :)) Chinese food in Bothell (especially since this location was previously the "not so magic panda chinese restaurant". There were only 3 tables occupied on a late Friday evening and yet the waitress seems to be too overwhelmed to notice the door bell chimed and that we walked in. We sat ourselves down, waited ... my husband got up and asked for the menu, finally a 200lbs 6'1" man caught their attention! The waitress handed the menus to my husband OVER THE COUNTER. We asked the Chinese waitress for a booster seat and she said "no, our boaster seat not so good". Then she decided to show us what she meant - this was an over-sized "home made" booster seat that is way too big for their chairs and suggested to my 3 years old that she will put two adult chairs together and she can put one leg on each chair ... Hmmm okay WT*? The same waitress came and took our orders. I am Chinese myself and speak with an Oz accent but have no idea what she is saying! I actually looked to my American husband for translation! So I decided to speak to her in Mandarin and Cantonese ... once again she slurs her words into sentences that I have n idea what she is saying.... She kept talking!!! Kept trying to sell us more food, tea, etc ... I finally told her "I can barely understand u", well, that didn't stop her from talking! Hungry and beyond annoyed, I am so ready to walk out of this place. My husband and I dart our eyes through the window of the restaurant and our choices were "Arbys" and so we decided to stay put. While waiting for our food, I decided to look up on yelp and read the horrid feedbacks on this place - oh gosh, we just ordered the salt & pepper pork chops that Lani C. described as "chewy". I am 100% positive by then that this will be the last time I ever step foot in one of these strip mall Chinese restaurant.... The first dish - chicken with stir fried vegetables came, oh gosh it was actually VERY GOOD! The chicken strips are tender and juicy, the vegetables are cook just right - crispy and tender. The kids loves the fried chicken wings and the salt & pepper pork chops was actually impressive. Beware of the condiments - the chili oil on our table tasted sour, I asked the waitress if there is lime/lemon in it, she proceed to open the jar infront of me, took a spoonful, touch her nose with it and put the spoon back in the same jar! Then she walked away to another table and brought back the other jar of chili oil and told me to try this, "this one fresh" is what she said. I took a small sample of it - YUCKS! HORRID! This jar tasted worst! It does not even taste like chili! It tasted like stale bean paste. I spit it out and told her no, this is very bad. She then brought me a bottle of store bought chili and went on to explain that their chili recipe changes from batch to batch, there is no way they can get the same paste each time ... I have mixed feelings about this place. I really enjoy the service everytime because they are always so friendly and welcoming. The counter to that point is this place is super hit or miss when comes to food. The food is pretty affordable and there's good dinner combos. It's just that somes dishes are really well done while others are poor quality and/or preparation. I think what I discovered is that the soups and noodles are generally done great. Most of the times the meat entrees especially the fried ones are a major let down. For example, I ordered Mongolian beef at 5 stars spiciness (which is my normal spiciness level I order at anywhere). I received something that resembled General Tsos because of the odd gelatinous red sauce. After tasting it, I think the flavor resembled that of a ketchup and Sriracha mix. To say the least, it was awful. The cashier boasted being more authentic and having very delicious dishes, but I think that I can easily argue my case that it is not. I would say that if you're in the mood for Chinese food even Americanized Chinese that you may get let down with going here even though it's at lower price point. Unfortunately, I don't have other alternatives to recommend in the area, but dont plan on returning anytime soon. read more

We order from PC weekly. Our favorites are the Broccoli Chicken, Mongolian Chicken, Almond Chicken, and Chow Mien. Lunch and dinner specials are especially good. I've been looking for a solid Chinese food place here in Bothell ever since moving up from Bellevue and finally stumbled across PC. The food here is great, and the owners are always very nice. They have a nice selection, but the General Tso's chicken is excellent. We've been placing our order online which has been very convenient and it has been on time every time. Came in here as a recommendation from a co-worker. It replaced the Magic Dragon and just opened. The staff is super nice and the whole establishment is still under construction. I really wanted Chow fun but that wasn't on the menu. What was on the menu though is Phad Thai. Weird huh? I ordered the lunch special for $5.75. This included choice of one entree, steamed or fried rice, and an eggroll. I decide to have the Vegetable Mapo Tofu. They were very willing to accomodate me if I wanted pork or chicken because I asked for it, but decided to not force them through the trouble. Everything is cooked fresh on the wok and you can see this. The Ma Po Tofu is pretty good with chunks of tofu, peas, and carrots. However, I didn't appreciate all of the chunks of ginger in my dish as well. The fried rice is bland and dry. It also has peas and carrots in it. Thankfully the gravy of the Ma Po Tofu makes the rice edible. The soup that comes with the meal is a corn egg foo young which is pretty good. It is sweet and spicy. The fried egg roll just was not for me. It looked like it had raw chicken inside. They cooked another one for me and gave me extra soup as compensation. The second one still was not up to my standards. I know that they did cook it longer. They said that the chicken was cooked and that since they use dark meat it does have a pinkish tinge. They also have the cooking of the egg rolls timed and mine was overcooked. I don't know. Maybe I am wrong about the chicken in the egg roll, but I am not a fan of chinese egg rolls in the first place so it doesn't really matter. I'd return here just for the service and staff. If I was just rating this on getting "to go" orders, I think it would be a 5. They do a great job, the flavors are wonderful. And the meat is more generous in the dish's then most chinese restaurants. Big pieces of chicken in the Kung Pao, plus alot onions, peppers and peanuts. Not totally loaded up with mostly celery like alot of places. I would like to try more items, but it's not on my diet ! I was very bad today calorie wise, but it was worth it. Very yummy. Atmosphere isn't the best, and service is not very friendly. But, the prices are very low, $7 for a lunch special that includes entree, egg roll, soup & rice, very good deal. Worst service ever!! We ordered Almond Chicken and were brought Orange Chicken. When said that was not what we ordered, the waitress argued with us and insisted we ordered the Orange Chicken and could not change it. If I could give them no stars I would. We moved to bothell and we looking for a good Chinese restaurant. Well we didn't even get a chance to try their food. We wanted Chinese food for Christmas. We called to place an order over the phone. The man who answered said they were too busy to take our order over the phone. He said to place an order online. Caught us off guard a bit, but went online and placed an order. 1 hour 10 minutes later we called to see how much longer the order would be. The same man answered and was confused on our order and said he'd call us back. 10 minutes later we called back. The same man answered and said they still haven't started our food and it would be a lot longer. By this point we had enough and canceled the order. You shouldn't own a business if you can't handle a busy Christmas night, plus they really need to learn about customer service. I wouldn't waste your time! read more

We placed a pickup/togo order that included Mu Shu Pork, but the togo bag did not include the hoisin sauce and pancakes. Bummer. We found out once home of course, and too far away to attempt another round trip. Also, their pricing varies between their in-restaurant menu and their online ordering site. Apparently, they had price changes for the new year. Come on, it's March already... Upon picking up the order, the host lady was bit rude about us questioning their varying pricing and pre-occupied. Food quality was average; nothing was awful, but nothing was amazing either. I've had better for the price - three dishes for $39. We tipped 10% on the togo order and they scoffed at the gesture. The meat-to-vegetable ratio is pretty poor. In one of the dishes I was sure they gave me some vegetarian dish in error until I dug in and found a few slivers of chicken. We have ordered twice from here in the last 6 weeks. The first time we picked it up, and the second time we had it delivered. On both occasions, we ordered online. Delivery took 40 minutes ordered at 5pm on a Sunday. PROS: Large portions, food tastes fresh, very friendly staff, easy parking, brown rice available, CONS: Expensive (and you can't order half-orders), minimum $50 order for delivery (which ends up being $70 once tax, delivery fee, and tip are added on), no napkins or utensils packed with to-go or delivery orders, must know to order rice separately as it is not included with any of the dishes (important to know if ordering online!). Between our two visits, we ordered a LOT of food! We like to try lots of dishes when we first find a new place, so I will give feedback on everything we have had over the course of those two visits. Chicken Pot Stickers: We ordered these fried. They are also available steamed. The filling was good, but they were much bigger than we expected (maybe 3.5" long) and the "gyoza wrap" was a very thick bread-like wrap, not the thinner crunchy skins we are accustomed to from teriyaki places. This might be traditional, but we didn't care for the texture. Crab Rangoon: The menu description is "Cream cheese, imitation crab meat wrapped in crispy wonton served with sweet and sour sauce". But the cream cheese filling is actually sweetened, which was very off-putting. I'm pretty sure I've had crab rangoons that aren't sweet. They were better dipped in the sweet/sour sauce, but overall just way too sweet. We threw them out. A waste of $8. Orange Chicken: This was delicious! The sauce was just right, the chicken pieces were tender, the breading was just heavy enough without being too heavy, and it was cooked just right (not too crispy but not soggy underneath the sauce). My son is a huge fan of orange chicken and he raved about it. And it was pretty, garnished with thinly-sliced oranges. Seven Flavor Beef: This was very good. The beef is tender and lightly coated in flour or cornstarch before being cooked, I think (it's got that texture). We ordered it mild, and it was indeed spicy enough to provide a bit of a kick. The meat is cut in nice bite-sized slices. I've never had this dish before, so have nothing to compare it to, but I thought it was good. Szechuan Eggplant: I loved this! I am a huge eggplant fan, and this did not disappoint. The menu describes it as "Tender eggplant with onion and green onion, bamboo shoots in a spicy hot sauce". The eggplants are about 3" long and green (not sure of the variety?) but split and then deliciously prepared in the sauce. The bamboo shoots are cut into matchsticks, so not those big sliced rectangles often seen. This dish is not very pretty, but the flavor is phenomenal. We ordered this mild and probably could have taken it up a notch because it didn't really seem "spicy" to me. And despite their attempt to line the styrofoam takeout container with foil, the sauce leaked all over the inside of the bag, and this was one of the items we had delivered, so not our fault! But, a mess nontheless. Phad Thai Tofu: This is very good, and really hits the spot when you want Thai and the rest of the family wants Chinese. The noodles are more narrow than I like in my phad thai (they are more like a ramen size), but the tofu is generous and cut in 2" strips rather than cubes, which I liked. We ordered it mild and it has enough spice at that level that gives it a kick but isn't distracting. We've ordered this twice now with consistent results. Seafood Combination Hot Pot: This was delicious. The seafood was plentiful, the fish perfectly cooked (not mushy!), and the sauce just the typical clear, mildly salty cornstarch-based sauce common in Chinese cuisine. This was a lovely dish! None of the dishes come with rice, so you have to remember to order some if you want it. We were happy to see them offer brown rice, and it is perfectly done -- nice and fluffy! Overall, we like this place and will return. Delivery ends up being pretty expensive since there is a minimum of $50 purchase before tax and tip and delivery fee, but for us, the food arrived in a reasonable timeframe, it was hot, and it WASN'T pizza! :) read more

I was not impressed upon entering the restaurant when no one greeted us or offered us a table. We sat down and a waiter came over, no smile, no greeting. We placed an order and a beer. We had a coupon for free pork fried rice with any order of 30.00. The waiter claimed that the coupon was for take out orders only. The coupon did not have that disclaimer on it. I pointed that out to the waiter, he abruptly stated that all his regular customers new this and he did not like being taken advantage of. Well, that attitude was enough for me and my wife, I paid for the beer and told him we would not be staying for the meal. The waiter acted as if he did not care whether we were customers or not and made no attempt to apologize. I would not recommend this business to anyone. read more
