AMAZING! I am super rough on my laptops (and super accident-prone). PC parts and Services have…read moreserved me SO WELL. I dropped my cell phone on my new ThinkPad laptop screen and did what I thought was basically impossible-- destroyed the screen. Took it to Kevin, who I had ordered parts from before. He knew what to do, ordered the parts and you cannot even tell anything was repaired at all. Not a scratch or pry mark or anything. When I picked up my ThinkPad, I brought him my gore of another laptop (an rare type of the HP Envy 360) that had some major screen issues (dropped, half-repaired, manufacturing flaw, screen disconnecting, bent hinges). A little bit more of a challenge, but the guys there did not bat an eye. Got my little HP back in a week in a half, and it looked again, brand new-- could not even tell that they had basically replaced the entire half of my screen. Repair costs were all 100 percent reasonable, and Kevin is super up-front about costs and pricing. If something costs more than expected or they run into an unexpected issue, they will let you know asap. Outside of repairs, they also sell new and previously-owned retail, and all types of accessories, so if you are looking for a great local small business to support, this is the one. I one hundred percent will take my PCs and laptops no where else. These guys are trustworthy and great at what they do, and are honestly, providing a great service to our community. Thank you, PC Parts & Services!!!

The owner called me after diagnostics and said both the 16GB RAM and the motherboard were defective, noting that further testing would take several hours if I wanted it. I paid ~$175 for diagnostics and an SSD backup, which was unnecessary, as the shop's diagnosis was completely wrong. When I picked up the computer, the owner offered to recycle it on the spot. I declined. The computer was returned reassembled, so I couldn't immediately verify the components. At home, I discovered the original RAM was missing. I called the shop; a junior tech said the owner had done the work and promised a follow-up -- which never happened. To test the system, I installed a single 8GB RAM stick, and the computer POSTed and booted immediately, working perfectly. I then installed two 8GB Crucial RAM sticks, restoring full functionality. This directly contradicts the shop's claim that known-good RAM had been tested and the system would not boot. The only actual work performed was the SSD backup, which I was charged for but didn't need. Had I accepted the recycling suggestion, I would have lost a fully functional computer. I'm sharing this to help others make an informed decision. The shop's diagnosis and recommendation were wrong, and their guidance could have led to unnecessary disposal of a working machine. I've also noticed in other reviews that when customers raise complaints, the owner often cites how long the business has been operating and how many computers they've "fixed." That may sound impressive, but it doesn't address the actual problem and isn't evidence of competence. Specific issues should be addressed directly, not deflected with statistics.

Ugh...I called and scheduled service on my computers for a few routine matters I didn't have time…read moreto deal with myself. Not only did they never get to the action items for which I called, these guys sent a tech who totally wrecked havoc on my machines which were previously rock solid and stable. They ran a software that 'broke' the connections between files and software (e.g. so Adobe didn't recognize PDF files for example, outlook didn't recognize vcards, etc). They added software that slowed down my operations, and caused all sorts of problems I didn't have before they started. At one point I found the tech actually googling how to perform a basic function (seriously? I can do that!?!?) I've spent weeks trying to unravel their 'work'. I heard they did a good job (which is why I called), so maybe it was who they sent...but I strongly suggest you do your homework, ask for the qualifications of the tech they send, and watch them as they perform the work to understand what they are doing so you can either approve it or undo it later.

Without an appointment, I walked in and asked for help managing my burgeoning photo inventory…read more(20,000 plus on my I-pad alone). They very patiently established with me what my needs were across all my platforms, helped design a system of storage that met my needs, showed me how to manage the process, and then charged me just one small fee, even though they had to spend quite a bit of time with me. Brilliant. I am a huge fan!
