After my first review they followed up within 30 minutes and tried to resolve the problem. I am glad that there is effort to make improvements and that they are concerned with what customers have to say. ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: I had difficulty connecting my printer to my new laptop. During the process I called what I thought was a Canon service phone number which turned out to me one of those scam sites. I downloaded something they asked me to download and some fish things were going on so I turned off my computer and decided to bring it to the professional. It took them two days to SCAN my computer and they told me nothing was found. They dowloaded teamviewer which allowed them to help me remotely and antivirus for 30 days free. When I checked in and picked up my computer I asked for help to set up my printer and also transferring photos which I had trouble doing from my iPhone to my external drive. As I was picking up my computer after paying $75 for the service I was told that I can get the additional help at home by calling them. I was pretty happy until this point because $75 was worth it for the safety and additional help remotely. When I called the next day to get the help to set up the printer, there was no progress and I was told that I will be charged hourly after 30 minutes which I was never informed about. When I asked the person that I was never told of such thing she said that I need to clear this with Yesenia and kept saying she doesn't know. She told me she will continue to work on remotely and hang up the phone but I couldn't leave my computer on forever. And two days later no one called me to follow up. I did my own research and it seems like my printer is too old (?). If so, I could've just bought a new printer instead of wasting time trying to make it work. Also the same day my replacement credit cards were stolen and used. I will reboot my laptop to a factory setting just in case. I decided to consider $75 as a lesson fee not to return to this place. Although it seemed like they had really good relationship with some customers that were coming in, I am not happy with the service due to lack of follow up and no clarity in terms of service fee. Screen replacement was not a service they provided, but they were very accommodating in coming up with an alternate solution to this problem. The staff went out of their way to suggest other solutions and were eventually able to demonstrate the one most cost effective approach. Took in a PC because it would turn on for a second then turn off. There is a $75 diagnostic fee, that is applied to your repair cost. Ivan was very honest, tried everything he could to make it work. In the end he advised it would be cheaper to get a brand new one. I appreciated that. I didn't feel like the diagnostic fee was wasted $. To put it concisely, PC Parlor is: 1) Very knowledgeable; 2) Very effective; 3) Very efficient; 4) Caring; 5) Out of the box in terms of thinking (when one solution doesn't work, they try another; also, they look to see if the customer needs anything else to be completely satisfied); and 6) Very nicely priced. The only problem is that, even with these six reasons, I am only allowed to give five stars! Here are the details of my experience: Thank you Ivan and Tony! My PC could only get to the boot screen, but would not boot. Ivan took the computer and got back to me the same day that he would have to order a drive for the computer, and I was able to pick it up the next business day! The plan originally was just going to be to put another drive where the old drive was after my files were copied (and perhaps even pick up the computer the same day), but because one of the two problems turned out to be a bad connection originating from the motherboard to the old drive (the other problem was that the old drive was extremely slow), this course of action was not possible. However, Ivan found another slot which could house a different type of drive, so Ivan got that drive the next business day and installed it. I was so concerned about losing my data, but Ivan copied everything from the old drive to the new drive, even though it copied very slowly. Then, when I got there to pick up my computer, Tony noticed that I was taking a while looking at it, and inquired if everything was okay. I needed to get MS Word installed, and he had the program and was able to install it - all I needed to do was sign in (I am a teacher, and can get it for free; indeed Ivan had mentioned this before, but the online way I was trying wasn't set up for my school). There is another program that I usually use, called AirParrot, which Tony was also able to install on a temporary, trial basis (I'll need to install the licensed version at school). Also, Tony also showed me another way that could project onto the screen at school without using that program; I'll try it out! To polish it off, they clean the computer surfaces, and it looks like new. Lastly, the price was extremely reasonable! read more

I have used PC Parlor in the past several times and have been consistently happy with the quality of their work. This week I had a problem with my Desktop PC freezing and booting slowly. I described the problem to Tony and he diagnosed the issue right away. He came in on Saturday to fix my computer and it is much, much faster than when he received it. My first impression was extremely favorable as my initial email was responded to very quickly by Tony. Soon afterwards I dropped off all the hardware components for a new computer build. PC Palor completed the build, installed the OS, the proper drivers and stressed tested the system. I dropped the hardware off on a Tuesday afternoon and politely asked if the system could be completed by the weekend. Tony said "Yes" but I wasn't holding my breath... To my pleasant surprise the turn around was absolutely phenomenal. Autumn called me Thursday morning to inform that the system was completed. That's Amazing! Instead of making me purchase a 32gb flash drive to save what was on my hard drive, she had me wait until they found out how much storage it was taking up and let me bring my own flash drive. They're not out to get your money, they just genuinely want to help. My desktop finally died and I called PC Parlor. Spoke to Eric who was very calm and understanding over the phone. He explained they would try to save all my docs and pictures from my computer. If he could extract them then he'd transfer it all to a new computer or a portable hard drive. I decided to give them a try and it was the best experience I've had with a broken computer! Not only was Eric very proficient with accessing all my documents and saving them, but he was also patient and took the time to show me how to continue to "backup" my files with my new Seagate desktop storage device. These guys are AWESOME. My wife's ancient MacBook Air was running slow and hot, hard-drive full for no reason, battery all but dead, trackpad erratic function, and a handful of other problems. I had done all the usual Reddit and Apple forums, tried all the "solutions" over several weekends, all to no avail. Went to PC Parlor as a last resort to buying a whole new Mac. After PC Parlor was done with it, the old computer ran as good as new! After hours of digging, they found a hidden directory that had somehow chewed up 50 gb of hard drive, then they also replaced the battery, blew out all the crap from the innards, got the trackpad zooming accurately again, and replaced buggy Mojave OS with Catalina -- all for about a quarter of the price of buying an all-new laptop. Like their reviews, their experiences were very positive which confirmed my decision to utilize the services from PC Parlor. Upon walking in, you'll see several tech stations and technicians with buried noses into their assignments. I almost felt bad for disturbing them, but a team member instantly greets you and asks how they can be of assistance to you. And to make things easier for me to understand, they didn't talk to me in "computer lingo". They summarize my computer issues, then restated them back to me to ensure both parties understood. Shortly there after, they provide me an estimate of how it will take and cost. They were in constant communication with me with progress updates and provided recommendations for antivirus software. The team member, Eli, was able to resolve my computer issues well before his estimated time and an easy to understand explanation of what the problems were. As a demonstration of team work, the owner of the company wiped clean my computers before returning them and confirmed with Eli he demonstrated my computers worked to me. I would give more stars if they were available. I had a house guest who desperately needed a speaker repair for his Mac Pro and had difficulty with the Apple Support and the Genius Bar. He needed the computer for his important medical zoom calls. I called Tony and he was very accommodating. He made sure he had the part before we came in and quoted a very reasonable price. I never leave reviews but Tony deserves this review. I called Tony a little after he opened this morning. He was the first computer repair tech that answered and I called about 4 before him, so I had to give him my business. My daughter's school told me she broke a school Chromebook and I would have to pay $250. Tony told me to come down so he could take a look at it. When I got to Tony's place of business, he took care of me right away. After inspecting the Chromebook, Tony told me that my daughter could have never broke the Chromebook with what the school said she did. He then proceeded to write me an invoice explaining the problem so that the school would understand that it is not my daughter's fault. Just to let you know Tony it worked.
