I had an issue with my computer due to the plastic now being used in production of the port for the power cord instead of metal. They sent my laptop to Waltham where a tech there was able to completely rebuild the port and fix the surrounding damage that had been caused by the displacement. Before the fix, I was looking at having to replace my computer as I was unable to plug in the power cord. They were helpful and friendly. I did have to call to see if the laptop had been fixed, but no big deal. read more

I wish I could give NO STARS! I brought in a laptop on which I had forgotten the password. They told me that there was absolutely no way to get into the laptop since I didn't have a 40 character "key" for it. They said I would need to put on a new operating system, which would then erase ALL my files. I went in and took my laptop back. Well, wouldn't you know it! When I got home, I was able to use AI to figure out what to do. All I needed was to do a system restore from an earlier date. Everything is fine with it now, all files are there. So why couldn't they do that? Aaron (?) said there was nothing I could do. For the record, I'm just a computer user with no real knowledge, just a lot of experience. DEFINITELY DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH THEM!!!!!!! read more

Brought in 2 laptops for upgrades. One was to be backed up and the other not. The one to be backed up was wiped clean and the one that didn't matter was backed up. When I was called to get them, one no longer functioned. I went home and It had no touch pad response. I went back 2 times and "Bob" said we will put the old hard drive back int. O.K. I was called to pick it up, 3rd visit, I turned it on at the counter and it would not recognized the password. Non working. "Bob" stated it was nothing we did and proceeded to basically tell me tough $hit. I brought in a functioning laptop and received a non functioning laptop and "Bob" had no problem with that. Amazing. Arguing at the counter was getting nowhere. Next step. read more

DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES USE THESE PEOPLE. I brought my computer in for an operating malfunction. The intro screen would not reboot. My computer was in excellent operation mechanically speaking it ran quite as a mouse. Two days later I retrieve my computer from there shop bring it home. Come find out my hard drive has been wiped clean. Ten years of pictures, documents, bookmarks, games, access to games. Gone, just gone. To add insult to injury the computer now sounds like someone took a hammer to the cooling system. My computer makes an unmistakable racket when you turn it on. I called and left several messages and they replied. We stand by our work. What the big deal?. I could have saved myself $200 and smashed my computer at home for free. read more

EXTREMELY OVERPRICED! Extremely high price on computers, charged $250 for a 13-year-old machine that could be obtained for under $70, fully functional, with better specs on ebay/facebook marketplace. More than happy to take advantage of those with little knowledge of specific machines, age or performance to drive their own profit. If you value supporting small business computer shops, please support a different one than this, I promise they are MUCH better. read more

My husband was taken in by these people. Ended up with a lot of computers that were supposed to be toast, but still work fine once I cleaned up the hard drive of junk. We also went through 3 printers, no excuse as to why. They knew my husband was gullible. Will not be going there for any repairs or purchases. read more

I agree with incompetent. Took my wife's laptop there for a much needed repair and paid an "extra" fee for backup that I initially was told would be included in the labor charge. When we got the computer back, a lot of files were missing. The explanation from them was that the missing files were in "My Documents" on the computer, files that are nowhere to be found. They didn't explain what they "don't do" when we dropped off the computer, they only mentioned that after they were paid and then only through a small paragraph on pg. 2 of the invoice. We did not realize the files were gone until we got home and my wife turned on her computer. Owner steadfastly refused to do anything about it. Just cost us $105. to fix the problem that should have been fixed by them. I live in town and will never go back to that store again! read more

I think the right word is incompetent. That and uncaring. The staff there, Aaron and Robert is nice, but they just didn't fix my computer right. I told them I wanted my 64GB's of ram tested to see which DIMM's were bad, and which ones needed to be replaced. I also had an issue with my PC fan being broken, that at least they fixed. Their method of testing the ram was just to use some program. I guess memtest and test each DIMM for a half hour, which was not nearly enough. Here's a picture of what I found when I did a more THOROUGH test of my RAM. And another of the memory error I got before I brought my system there and continue to receive after they supposedly fixed it Clearly, it still has memory problems! I told them that I'd give them another chance to fix it, and a week to respond, they didn't and so I'm posting this. At least I only paid $35, but my problem is still there. They said the problem isn't memory, that I need to add an SSD and Windows 10, which has NOTHING to do with memory, so either they are trying to fraud me into paying money for nothing or are woefully ignorant about computers. Avoid this place! read more

The one time I used them they were not able to figure out what was wrong with my computer, sent it to another place, I had to keep calling about it because I just never heard back. After like 2 weeks I got the computer back and they still were never able to fix it. When we finally got it back the internet wouldn't connect on our computer so we brought back. When we asked about it a few days later they had no recollection of having our computer, they said they'd given it back to us. read more

Went in looking for a replacement computer component. Got a very bad attitude from someone working there. Dismissive, unattentive, and passive aggressively confrontational (I know weird mix huh?). Furthermore, their prices are not competitive (product and service) and parking is horrible. My business will definitely be going elsewhere. read more

What a computer repair shop that doesn't care about anything? Do you want services from people who won't listen to a word you say? Well you've found the perfect place. Some family members took it in to have some malware removed. Well the desktop icon for it was gone and malwarebytes didn't find anything, so that means its fixed, right? Trying to get a new computer, but a component is giving you trouble, don't worry, they'll swap it for the same thing even after you specifically tell them you want one from a different, better, manufacturer. read more

I brought my laptop to PC Lan on Oct. 24th with a broken dc jack and noisy cooling fan. On Nov. 12th I get a call informing me that my laptop is ready to be picked up. While checking to see if the repairs worked my computer shut down suddenly. The next day I brought it back to PC Lan to get the issue resolved. The owner of the company quickly dismissed any idea that the problem was caused by the repairs saying it was a software issue and that they'd take a look at it. The next day they tell me that they ran some tests and determined it was in fact a hardware issue and that they were sending it back out to their technician. They believed they knew what the problem was and that the part was going to cost me more money. I agreed. I visited their store a couple of times a week to see what was going on with my property and every time the owner didn't seem sure about anything but kept telling me he expects it back any time now. Nov. 19th they call me stating that they need my password to check and see if everything is working. This makes me very uncomfortable but at this point I just want my laptop back and I give them my password. Weeks go by without hearing from them and me having to go to them for updates. Finally I get a call Dec. 10th telling me that it's ready to be picked up. when I arrived, the owner starts listing off parts I was being billed for that I was never informed of including the fan that I had previously paid for and other parts that were working before I had ever given my laptop to them. Among the parts was a new keyboard and while checking it I discovered that the keyboard was no longer lighting up like my original one. When I told the owner I wanted the right keyboard his attitude became aggressive. He said that he had told me about the keyboard not lighting up, which he hadn't, and that they've gone as far as they could with my computer. I'm extremely upset and dissatisfied with the service and treatment I received from this company. read more
