I love this computer place…read more Dave the owner really knows his stuff. One November I needed computers (3), a server with remote access, and a network for my small business & I needed a computer set up for my father (who is in his eighties) at his home. Dave was so helpful and patient with me and my questions. He had never met me and for all he knew I was kicking the proverbial tires. In the end we came up with a good game plan for both projects that I needed and since I'm a bit flighty when it comes to computers (I so want to be a neo-Luddite.) Dave went out to my Dad's to set up his new computer and transfer files for me (great 28" screen too) and came to my work and set up and streamlined the new network. Since then, my wife has needed to replace her lap top (after a horrible experience with a month old $2,500 DELL - which reminds me that she needs to review them and give them 1-star). A week doesn't go by that she doesn't tell me how much she loves her computer from Brick. Then one Christmas I told my wife I was ready for my first lap top and again we (really she, since it was a gift for me) visited Brick and she purchased a small Acer which was perfect for my limited needs and travel. From time to time we need a mouse, or cables or a printer and Brick is there for those needs as well. And their service is top notch. If we have a problem Dave or one of his staff steps in and helps out in whatever capacity we need them. Why anyone would go anywhere else in this area is beyond me. I always love the local, small business - everything is just more genuine. There's nothing like walking in or calling and an owner knows your name. And Dave knows our names. A General Note About Supporting Your Local Small Businesses: I know some people that pick the brains of small business (or the big box stores) and then go on-line to buy something to save a couple bucks (which is not always the case by the way - Brick, as an example, has GREAT pricing). But even if that business is a couple bucks more expensive - customer service, convenience and honesty have to be worth something.

I have used him twice and good results. Last time I called him he answered the phone "Hi Joe,…read morewhat's up?" which I think is a nice touch (knows his customers). I explained the issue over the phone and he explained that he sees that problem quite often with that model/type of computer and that a house call is probably not worth paying for. Very honest as he knew the probable issue (and he was correct).

After a forced overnight Microsoft update that may have gotten stuck, my battery was completely run down. Not sure why, since power adapter worked. For some reason, my laptop powered up 'at the shop' rather than my home, but once restart was accomplished there, and battery was sufficiently recharged to take home, everything was all better. (My power adapter checked out fine.) I supposed I could have figured it out eventually (jiggled plugs, etc), but the 'it works now at the shop' seems to be what was needed. The in-shop review of computer health was useful. Rate charged was reasonable, as was free advice on what to buy next and where.

Not only did Asus still deny my warranty, they denied it menage of obvious marks (visible as soon as you open the bottom) the ones he said he cleaned. He then lied to me and said "there must have been more under the motherboard" NOPE the photos from Asus were all in plain sight without removing anything. He continued to lie about the work he did and claimed he "knocked off $100" which is BS because I paid $50 and there's NO WAY the work he claimed to have done would be worth $150. Granted, I'm aware the initial damage was not his fault, not mine either (it was a freak accident). But he felt the need to lie and take my money for doing practically nothing. Look at the photos and try to tell me he cleaned it even a little bit... He is a bad businessman and his customer service skills suck. Go elsewhere for computer repair.
