In addition, my data would be unrecoverable. So, after doing my own research into logic board repairs for my specific model, I learned that it was possible to fix my MacBook and recover my data. So, after searching for local specialists, I found ThinqMac. My first conversation with one of their employees immediately made me feel that I was in good hands. The gentleman corroborated a lot of the information I had found out through my own research. The technicians ran some tests on my computer and eventually sent it out to a company that specializes in logic board repair. In the end, after being told by UBreakIFix and Apple that my data was unrecoverable and my computer would never turn on again, the folks at ThinqMac proved them wrong. I have been using him to repair my small (8 machine) work-group as well as home computers for more than 3 years, and have found his work of consistent good quality and his prices quite reasonable. Often he has taught me things that have allowed me to do some of our own trouble shooting and upgrades as well. In most instances he logs into my computer from afar and is able to diagnose and repair without having to be on site, although at times he comes here or we get machines to him when really necessary. All in all The Computer Shop is an outstanding small business run by an upstanding individual who makes me want to send him business, although fortunately I don't have to call him often since his fixes generally work the first time!

Chris responded quickly understood what the issue was concerning the life of my hard drive.
