I originally brought it to uBreakiFix, but they declined to try to help and just suggested I go get a new phone. I brought my phone into PC Warehouse in hopes that they would be able to dry it out and try to save my phone. Justin was very kind and helpful! He set expectations that my phone may not recover but that he would try to dry out the components and inspect the damage anyways despite being very busy and a lot of customers coming in. He was able to dry out my phone and luckily it's working pretty great so far! I really appreciate that he made the effort and took the time to try to help me rather than suggesting I just go get another phone. He did go above and beyond and offered to make alternate accommodations should my problem still pose issues.

In addition, my data would be unrecoverable. So, after doing my own research into logic board repairs for my specific model, I learned that it was possible to fix my MacBook and recover my data. So, after searching for local specialists, I found ThinqMac. My first conversation with one of their employees immediately made me feel that I was in good hands. The gentleman corroborated a lot of the information I had found out through my own research. The technicians ran some tests on my computer and eventually sent it out to a company that specializes in logic board repair. I have been using him to repair my small (8 machine) work-group as well as home computers for more than 3 years, and have found his work of consistent good quality and his prices quite reasonable. Often he has taught me things that have allowed me to do some of our own trouble shooting and upgrades as well. In most instances he logs into my computer from afar and is able to diagnose and repair without having to be on site, although at times he comes here or we get machines to him when really necessary.
