Boy, was I glad I did. I grew up in NJ - diners are a religion. This, to me, was a nicer (yet still casual and welcoming) diner. There's no neon and stainless steel to let me think it was a diner - but it's the best of a family-style restaurant and the diner we all know and love. Service was simply fantastic. Friendly, prompt, fun/funny. Atmosphere comfortable and not pretentious. Food: I had a simple cheeseburger and rather than fries, took them up on their offer for a small bowl of soup. All - exactly what I had hoped. Cook on the medium rare burger was clinically perfect. Meat to bun ratio was spot on. Hot, juicy. Terrific. Giving four stars in its category today as I want to dive deeper into the menu. I want to try their coleslaw, and pickles, and a chicken strip, fries, onion rings/straws before I hold it truly against a classic diner. But let's put it this way - I can't wait. Ps. When a customer cannot eat a dish due to a quality problem, I would expect it to be corrected, not partially charged. We kept the food simple with chicken, marsala, meatballs, pasta with sauce, roasted potatoes, green beans, salad, and bread. Everything was very delicious.
