I am incredibly disappointed with how this shop handles pricing and communication. I reached out on…read moreYelp asking for a quote to replace the display on my MacBook Pro 14" (Model A2442). They explicitly gave me a flat price of $499 for a display replacement. Based entirely on that number, I took the time out of my day to drive down, drop off my machine, and pay a non-refundable $30 diagnostic fee. However, once they had my laptop completely disassembled on their workbench, the price suddenly jumped by $100 to a new quote of $599. When I questioned why the price changed from their written quote, they claimed that the initial $499 price was actually only for a "B-Grade" used screen with scuffs and scratches on the outer casing. If I wanted a normal-looking, flawless screen ("A-Grade"), I had to pay the higher premium. They had my exact model number from the very first text. Withholding information about different "grades" of used parts until a customer's laptop is already taken apart in your shop is a highly deceptive business practice. Had they been transparent upfront that a standard screen replacement would cost $599, I would have opted to go to the Apple Store instead of wasting my time and money here. I paid the $30 fee just to get my laptop put back together and returned to me. Go to Apple or a more transparent shop that honors their initial quotes.

I found Mark through Yelp and decided to give him a try based on his great reviews and the fact that he was local. He was able to diagnose the problem, replace the necessary parts and get my phone working again, saving me the expense and hassle of buying a new one. The repair was completed quickly and so far everything is working well. I'm hopeful it continues to hold up long-term. Thanks again, Mark, for helping save my phone and all the data on it!

When we came in the next day to get the phone, the main gentleman who helped us very thoroughly explained what he was doing when he went through the verification steps to make sure the screen and phone worked properly. He and all his coworkers were very kind and professional, not only with us, but with every customer we saw come through while we were there - including a very very difficult one. Thanks to everybody there but especially the main gentleman whose name we didn't get.

On the vendor website, it says that they will come to your house for an in-house repair. This is perfect for me because I am in a wheelchair, and the Surface Studio Pro 2 Desktop is Microsoft's heaviest computer. Their online appointment system was not working, so I called the downtown location first; they referred me to the Midway location. The Midway location confirmed that they do, in fact, have the ability to do in-house calls, but only if you have an insurance contract with Asurion. Otherwise, too bad. Not for any amount of money or to help out an old man in a wheelchair, will they honor their commitment and advertisement. That is just plain shameful. Shame on you & Happy Thanksgiving.
