I was recommended to go here by a friend of a friend. This was my pups first grooming experience. Making the appointment was easy enough. The pricing is by weight of the dog. They ask for vaccinations records and need the 6month shots before they take your dog in. The reception area looks like a spa. It's clean and pleasant. There is a gate by the front door so dogs can't run out onto the street if the door opens. Unfortunately you cannot see into the grooming area. They keep the door shut at all times and there is no viewing window which is different to what I've seen at other places. To me this was a red flag. I told the lady at reception what i wanted and she translated in to the groomer. The entire grooming experience was done very quick, they took an hour and a half. Is this a good thing? I thought so. Until I saw my dog. The cut was uneven and choppy. His face didn't have a good finish. He had been nicked with the shaver in a few spots and had blood. His nails had not been cut. And he was dirty!! I actually called back to ask them because I genuinely thought they forgot to wash him! She didn't acknowledge anything I had to say or check with the groomer. She claimed everything was done and he's clean. She wouldn't listen to the fact that when I rubbed a wipe over him the white wipe was brown! I could see bits of white fur all over his black coat. It was gross. She said you can wash him again if you like! We had to wash him again at home and I re-cut his mouth area myself. Disappointed with their reaction to my feedback when i called so unfortunately here it goes publicly for everyone to see. read more

We had such a great experience just now. They accommodated a walk in for my sweet dachshund boy to get his nails trimmed. The staff is super sweet, the space is spotless and I like that their holding space for the animals isn't kennels - they have glass dividers in the main lobby where the pooches can wait. It's been a struggle trying to find the right groomers for my pup, but after trying out many different places, I think we've found our place. Pawstastic is absolutely fantastic! Finding an appointment was easy. They were able to see my Yorkie, Belle, within a few days. Actually, they were so patient with me as I tried to gather her vaccination records, and even reschedule. They were kind enough to accommodate a quick reschedule, and we were able to follow up until appointment time. I have a very specific cut I like for my pup, and Pawstatic executed it perfectly. She looks so beautiful! I love her cut from her head to her whole body. They even sent us a cute picture of her. No doubt, I will be taking my Belle in again for future grooming. When they opened this new location, I was honestly thrilled -- it's so much closer to me, and the quality is just as amazing. The staff was nice. but they completely butchered my dog. I brought him in for a nail trim and decided to do the sanitary package to get him freshened up. I heard him yelping from the front of the store and had to walk outside for my own peace of mind. He has always been sensitive to getting his nails done so that's why I bring him somewhere, after moving we decided here because of the reviews. EVERY single one of his paws has cuts and was bleeding when we got home. STAY FAR AWAY, they didn't even tell me before we left the establishment what had happened. I can't recommend Pawtastic enough! Every time we pull up, my puppy Cherry gets SO excited, she absolutely loves it here. The staff are incredibly kind and treat her like family. Absolutely loved their service today! Hodu got a full premium package groom which included a full bath, body cut/design, anal gland expression, ear cleaning, and nail trim. Their main priority was her comfort and I knew Hodu was in good hands when I saw that their priority was to have hodu have a stress-free experience. They don't use any metal cages and have transparent/see through stalls that they can wait in. Hodu was definitely nervous going into Pawtastic for the first time but the way she was able to roam around the front of the shop and familiarize herself definitely seemed to help with her anxiety. When I came back to pick her up she was napping and was so happy after her haircut. I could tell she was relaxed and definitely stress-free. The staff is really sweet and mindful of their customers/our preferences. They actually squeezed me in for this week and was really accommodating to my availability which I was really thankful for. I think their pricing is reasonable and clean/open space makes it worth the drive from fullerton for my pup's haircuts. I was super happy with how her haircut turned out as well! read more

They do such a great job with our terrier chihuahua mix, Atlas! They leave the areas I ask to keep a little longer (near his paws and nose) at the perfect length and groom him so nice. Before this location in Tustin opened, - we would drive to the La Palma location...from Laguna Niguel. One day, we decided to try out a local groomers in Laguna to give it a chance - thinking we could find a good place that's nearby to help with driving an hour away. It took a whole year to grow out their fur because they cut it too short and choppy. I was literally devastated and traumatized because the cut was so bad, and they both had beautiful coats prior. The Tustin and the La Palma locations for OC Pawtastic is worth the drive. I have other family dogs that have been going to them too and they turn out beautiful every time. You can tell all of the staff truly care about your fur babies, and they are all so incredibly sweet. Every interaction I've had has been pleasant from beginning to end. We received videos for updates and they also took cute photos of our babies as well. I have never seen such great level of care at a groomers before. The shop is super cute and clean, and they even have a little photo area in the corner to take pictures with your dogs or of your dogs. Would highly recommend this business to anyone that needs their fur babies to be taken care of. read more

I've been bringing my dogs here in a regular basis for over a year and haven't had an issue. I dropped off my dogs and when I picked them up my dogs nose was bleeding. I noticed it all over the floor and on the groomers skirt. When I pointed this out they rushed to the back kennel she was in and came back out denying any blood on the cage and that the blood on their clothes was not from my dog. No one was accusing them of harming my dog but after their shady response, I asked for a refund of my tip and left. They also tried to gaslight me by asking how old is your dog, it must be due to age. Their response to this incident was handled poorly and the lack of care showed me this isn't a proper place to bring my pets. We will no longer be coming here and I wanted to provide an accurate review of their customer service. read more

I've been bringing my pup here for the past 6-9 months or so. She's a mini golden doodle and gets a full groom every 4 weeks. She's 21 lbs and the full groom plus tooth brushing is $110 every time. I see the negative reviews here regarding "hidden fees," but I think people are in denial of what it means when you bring in a matted pup or want a special type of cut. There are "hidden fees" when I get my hair done if I want something that isn't basic. People are wild. Not only is Pawtastic very fairly priced, but the women who run this business are absolutely lovely. They are so kind and welcoming and they spoil my pup while she's with them. Her cut is always consistent and she's happy walking in the door and spending time with her groomers. I plan to stay with this groomer forever! After dropping my dog off, they called me 10 mins later stating it was going to be $70 more because they had to do additional services that were required like a de-shed and additional charge for length. So in total they were trying to charge me $190 for a bath & trim on my 32 pound Corgi. I quickly returned and picked up my dog after hearing about their ridiculous additional charges. Maybe that's their business tactic? Leave your dog, and once you're gone they call and then you have no option but to pay for the additional services? Shame on you. Their services are overpriced, and only one lady spoke English. It felt like a nail salon, goodness knows what they're saying behind your back. Do not trust them with your dog. read more

I'm so happy I found the perfect groomer for our little Avo! He is a small cavapoo and I did extensive research on finding the right groomer for him! This was Avo's first grooming experience and they treated him with so much love and care, everything a pawrent wants! I felt very comfortable leaving Avo with them for a few hours since they were very welcoming and kind when we arrived to our appointment. Our little one absolutely loved his time with Pawtastic! Granted, there will be no other place we'll go to. The location in Tustin is very clean and aesthetically pleasing. We got the Luxury Package which includes a full groom and a Hinoki bath spa and mud mask. They listened to the style we wanted and I appreciated that very much, especially since we're first time dog parents. It's evident Avo had such a relaxing time and he felt very comfortable with them since apparently he was falling asleep hehehe. Avo looks so fluffy and cute and he smells SOOOOOO good!
