Karen is incredibly knowledgeable--her food recommendations completely cured my rescue Doberman's chronic diarrhea overnight - a problem we battled for three months with no success from recurrent vet visits and prescription kibble. Our dog is obsessed with the bully sticks. I was skeptical, but Karen assured me that the brand makes a difference. I was reluctant and skeptical at first, since our big boy is an avid chewer, blowing through most bullys in 20 min and then loses interest. She was spot on - the dog is obsessed! He loves them so much that he carries the holder around, constantly licking the nub. They're expensive, but fantastic, keeping him happy and engaged for hours. The second I saw a gang of happy cats inside, I knew this was a great pet supply store! Plenty of parking under the fancy solar panel awnings. Super people-friendly cats, especially La Verne (I believe that it's name), the tortoise shell cat, kept following us around, meowing for pets. So, so cute. Lots of pet food (wet, dry, soups, toppers, goat milk, organic, etc.), treats, toys, health supplies, bedding, even dog bath bombs and pet CBD products too. Staff's super friendly and helpful too. And there's a clearance section as well. Got lots of treats and goodies for our kitty and even dog soup (doup) for our friend's pitbull. 100% gonna drop by again. read more

I've been a regular customer of Paws in Redlands for several years now. They carry Hound & Gato, my cats' favorite brand of wet food. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly, carrying a full selection of both dog AND cat food, toys and health supplements. They have several store cats who also fulfill the vital roles of greeter and purchase inspector/approver, including Lenny (the black cat) and Alice (the calico cat). Some other reviewers have commented that prices are higher at Paws. Compared to big-box chains like PetSmart and Petco, this may be the case; however, the brands of pet food carried tend to use fewer harmful ingredients, likely leading to a better quality of life for your pet with fewer health issues. My wife and I have been going to Paws for years and have had only great experiences. Everyone that works here is very friendly, knowledgeable and they are always looking for a holistic approach to helping your pet. They also have a wide variety of merchandise that I can't find anywhere else. A few years ago our dog unexpectedly passed away. We had bought a brand new bag of food and asked Paws if we could still return the bag. They did so without any hesitation and made sure we were ok. The only place you need to go for any of your pet needs! PAWs has an excellent selection from treats to all the equipment needed for your furry friend. I didn't get to explore much of the store because as soon as I walked in I was warmly greeted by the staff and was immediately helped with my needs. Best part was the dog that I'm adopting was actually the favorite breed of the employee who helped me get rid of any guess work when it came to size of equipment and training tips. I walked into this local treasure after seeing the sky high prices of other commercial pet stores in the area and was amazed at how much I was saving compared to the others that shall not be named. Since I was adopting a new member of the family they even provided complimentary treats and some food for the newest member of my household. Always good customer service and they have the healthiest brands of dog and cat foods here. The owner is so sweet and helpful. She really goes the extra mile to educate you on products. They have rescue cats that roam the store which always makes me happy. You can donate food here and they will give it to YAPS animal rescue. All around good ethics here . You can also accumulate points on many products and receive a free bag of food. They will also special order for you if a brand you want is not in stock. I encourage you to shop here and support your local pet store and stay away from Petsmart and Petco that sell animals without any laws on animal welfare and protection. Huge NO NO in my book. My parents stumbled upon this cute little store and fell in love with it. I'm in love with it too now. Wanna know why? They have sperm...yes, you heard me, they have sperm. Our cat Joey LOVES sperm. He's obsessed with it. Joey's had sperm since he was a kitten. It's his favorite. He plays with it constantly. I've never been able to find sperm for him again. I've sewn, glued and repaired his sperm so many times I was starting to lose hope. Went into Paws - low and behold - they had sperm. A Tub-O-Sperm. The 12 Year Old Jr. Foodie and I bought (20) sperm for Joey. (5) of each color. We were ecstatic! Joey is now thrilled beyond his wildest dreams. Check out the picture....then this will all make sense...... Seriously? The receipt called these toys "Caterpillars". That's no caterpillar I'VE EVER seen. Caterpillars have legs folks. Tadpoles would have been a passable description. However, just admit it....they don't look like anything else but sperm with bug eyes. All kidding aside, this is a great store. Super cool and high quality foods, treats, products and toys. The staff is friendly, helpful knowledgeable and tons of fun. This is a wonderful store! Their selection is amazing. They carry so many brands-I feed my dogs raw and they have 3-4 brands of raw that they keep well stocked. They also carry raw goats milk, which is so wonderful for your pets. If you don't happen to feed raw, they also carry many other high end foods for your pets. Karen IS one of the kindest and most generous people to run a business and she helped me sort out a raw food diet for a recent 2 yr.old stray that I rescued, who at the time was 14lbs. Raw pet food is pricey, but I had to put him on a healthy diet and GREAT NEWS he has lost weight and his energy is much livelier. The ladies I've spoken with behind the counter are knowledgable and they help out the best they can. I LOVE this store! The woman who was helping me was very friendly and knowledgeable and tried to find a food that was going to meet my dogs needs. Unfortunately they do not carry the brand I use but she said she could order it for me which I thought was pretty awesome.
