i visited last year on my spring break and got 3 collars. they are so cute and my labs loved them. i have 2 labs, (60 and 70 pounds) and the large size collars fit well. on one of the collars, the bow-tie clip came undone, but the owners were so nice and helpful in sending me a new one in the mail, free of charge! (i am from minnesota) i came back again this year and made sure to visit the store again. i actually came twice back to the store on this years vacation. there are so many cute designs and they are all very unique. i love the collars for the different holidays. i got 2 more collars, 2 toys, a sticker, a leash, and a birthday cake for my 9 (almost 10!) year old labs birthday. everything looks great and i can't wait to get home to my dogs to show them and try them on. if i could give 6 stars i would, but the 5 will have to work today! i couldnt recommend this store any more. read more

Ultimate location for your furry friend! This shop is in the circle, right across from the state capital! Parking can be kind of a pain, but the store is definitely worth it. The people who work here are really friendly and helpful. You will find some Steven Hueneck prints, and a humongous assortment of collars! Everything is very reasonably priced! We ordered a special order crab collar in a martingale style, and they took my order without even a credit card number! They called me within a week and let us know that the collar was in their store and we went to pick it up right away. They also offer shipping and have a website if you want to browse as well. If you have a dog, or even a cat, you need to stop by Paws when in Annapolis! Such a cute store that has simply everything your pet may need or that you want! Food, leashes, treats, toys sweaters, they have it all. Staff are very friendly and will answer any questions you may have. On top of all the items listed above, Paws carries a lot of personalized breed specific nick-knack items, my absolute personal favorite were hand painted Christmas tree ornaments painted by local artists. You email the artist a picture of your dog and in a few weeks you receive in the mail your dog painted on an ornament. It's not cheap, by a very special gift and I love that you are also supporting local artists! Shop local when you can! read more

While I don't have a dog, this store makes me want to get one! I always stop in this store to pick up cute gifts for my friends' dogs. They have some really adorable gifts and a nice doggy cookie bakery. While I can't say for sure how well they taste, almost every dog I have given them to love it. The cookies will will run you about $2-$4 which isn't too bad. The cookies are seasonal, so for every holiday, they'll have something special. I'm a cat mom, so I tend to look in the cat section. Unfortunately their cat sections is very small. I want to say that the store is 90% for dogs and 10% for cats. My cat loves the little snake toys filled with catnip! I have to replace it every once in a while because he will tear it up. read more

I cannot applaud Michelle & Larry enough for quickly processing and shipping my online order, and then communicating clearly and re-sending my replacement collar after I had inadvertently chosen the wrong size. This shop and its owners are a perfect example of a great local business. They really care about their community, are very active in animal issues and fund raising events, and have a fun boutique to boot. A winning combination. Even though, I can find some of the pet supplies cheaper on line, I don't hesitate to spend my extra dollars here. They also have a nice selection of items that are locally made i.e. art work, bandannas, jewelry, pottery, etc. Their website is also an excellent place to find out what is going on as it pertains to people and their pets. They list dog friendly stores, lodging, restaurants and other parks/places that allow owners and their pups. In addition, special events like canine and cocktails (at the Loews, usually first Friday of every month in late Spring/ Summer), July 4th pet parade, dog walks at Quiet Waters Park, the Halloween parade and competitions are all listed on the site. Free treats for your pets too! So my Chocolate Lab is a fan as well. read more

The owners are so down to earth and friendly. You can tell that they really love their job. There is an enormous selection of collars and leashes for both cats and dogs. I always had sooo much fun picking out a collar for my pup for each season and holiday. (think Valentines, St. Patricks, Fourth of July, Christmas, Easter, etc). I came here while visiting Annapolis with my family, and stumbled across Paws Pet Boutique. They seemed to have everything a dog lover could want (less so for cats it appeared). There are loads of cookies and other snacks, including doggie smoothies. Who knew dogs needed smoothies? I suppose they can cleanse with their masters. They also have a number of gluten-, wheat-, and corn-free items. The downside is that they are really catering to an affluent clientele and I am not that clientele. Much of the merchandise they have is very artistic, and looks like it was designed by an art student with a price to match. Be prepared to pay more than you think you should for a chew toy, but you can be certain your puppy will be nibbling on an artistic masterpiece! I don't know if it's the rent for the downtown location or if I'm not exactly the target clientele, but this place is expensive. 12 bucks for a ball the size of a tennis ball that won't last as long either. It's over the top with cutesy items that go out of the way to come across as if a well known artist had created/decorated some cookie or ball. The people are nice enough and are locals, but that sort of thing can only go so far when it comes to making my wallet thinner. The affluent citizens of Annapolis, Eastport, and surrounding areas seem to rejoice in the existence of this pet store, but not all that practical for the workin' man/woman. read more

We've been living in the area since August of 2013, and have wanted to visit the store and finally did so two days ago. What a great little shop! They have anything that you need from treats to toys, clothes to collars, cards to toothbrushes! My boyfriend and I went to buy a new collar and leash for our boston terrier and got both plus a harness. The woman that works there was very helpful and gave us great advice. I can't add much to the other glowing reviews. This shop is just awesome! We were shopping for a doggie jacket without our dog and the owner trotted his dog out which was roughly the same size as ours and had him model the jacket for us! Then the owners gave us restaurant recommendations and circled the places on a map for us. We went to one of them and it was fantastic.
