I would not recommend purchasing a puppy from the Naples Petland location. We paid about $4,700 for a Cocker Spaniel puppy. When we brought her home, we noticed she had a runny nose and wasn't acting like a healthy puppy. We took her to our veterinarian, who diagnosed her with pneumonia and parasites. When I contacted the store about what had happened, the owner told me to reach out to another person who handled these issues. That person responded to me once, but after that, I never received another response despite my attempts to follow up. Over the past 15 years, I have purchased several puppies from the Petland Fort Myers location, including two puppies around the same time I purchased this Cocker Spaniel so she would have companions. Every puppy I've purchased from the Fort Myers location has been healthy, and they've lived long, happy lives. I've never had any health issues with the dogs I purchased there. The way they handled the situation with selling us a sick puppy is why I wouldn't recommend purchasing a puppy from the Naples Petland location. read more

We first went to the shelter to adopt but we wanted a puppy. We went to Petland and found our puppy. My girlfriend did not want to adopt him because he was very sad and depressed but I knew when we got him home he would change and he did. He is now part of the family and healthy now that I took him to the vet and good home care. Now the reason I am writing this review. They are very dishonest and they do not tell you that you have to sign up for pet insurance Kanguroo is the company and charge you $65 a month with a huge deductible. They charge me two months before they finally canceled it. Be warned. They do not make it easy at all to cancel this insurance. The reviews are spot on. Believe them. Very shady company. read more

Jean Paul is a true Dog lover and very knowledgeable on all breeds. Worth visiting the store.

You should never ever buy puppies from a pet store. I went to this location today and many of the pups looked unwell. Pet stores that sell kittens and puppies have been banned in many states. Don't shop adopt. read more

Do NOT buy a pet from here!!! My boyfriend and I went in and took home an adorable teddy bear puppy on 2/3 and we took her to the vet on 2/6 and found out she had pneumonia, and two different types of parasites/worms. It has cost us thousands of dollars in vet treatments and when I've called to inquire about this all they say is to talk to Insurance because they are not responsible. They say in other reviews that they will take care of it via their warranty but all that means is they basically exchange your puppy. Nobody wants to do that after getting to know and love the puppy that they bought. Would not recommend getting a pet from here and if you already have, take them to the vet ASAP because if you don't within 4 days of purchase, the entire warranty is void anyway. read more

It is abuse that every newborn puppy in this business has to sit in their own pee and poo. It is disgusting and can make them terribly sick not only that but half of them in there looked depressed in there small kennels. Please do not support this company. REPORT IT! read more

Purchased a puppy 1 week ago. Currently she is being treated by a vet for moderate severe pneumonia

I purchased a Teddy Bear mix from your Petland of Naples, FL. I paid thousands of $ for her. The very next day after bringing her home, she began vomiting continuously. After consulting with TeleVet, I rushed her to a local veterinarian. The veterinarian ran tests and told me Mazie was dangerously weak, and needed to be transferred immediately to the animal hospital. She was hospitalized overnight. and it cost almost $3K. I had bought insurance but still between the Vet bills and the puppy cost me over 4K - for a puppy who was clearly not healthy. This was not only financially distressing but so stressful to deal with for a 4 pound puppy. When I called the Petland store, I was treated rudely and the operator would not allow me to speak to the store. After much back and forth, was directed to a website that turned out to be non-existent. I then submitted my complaint through the company's website and after almost a month received a response that her illness was not covered and I would not be refunded. Now I see many negative reviews about this Petland selling sick puppies and with my experience seem that this is a pattern. I am deeply concerned and do not trust them. They sold me a sick puppy and were rude when I contacted them and customer service was horrible and they did not compensate me for the bills after selling me the sick puppy. read more

Brought a puppy last week they told me they were gonna wash them and make sure he was nice and clean, but when I got him home, he started to cough. I took him to the vet the end of the week the vet said that the dog is sick. It should've never been sold, I do not recommend buying a dog there. He told me all shots were done and he lied so beware my puppy medication hopefully you'll be OK because I fell in love with him right away. Don't ever get a dog when you're depressed over losing another one I was so much in love with him, but I didn't check the bottom and when I got him home, he was allmaddi read more

Purchased a sick puppy from the Naples Petland with 2 illnesses: giardia which is a disease which can be passed to humans and a contagious flu which got my 10 year old dog sick after the first 5 days. We noticed our puppy sneezing the first night which turned into coughing fits which lasted 2 weeks. Fortunately Petland paid for his flu treatment but they wouldn't pay for our older dog even though we bought a contagious sick puppy Snot came out of his nose and every morning he'd have snot covering his whole nose and upper mouth. Yesterday he was diagnosed with giardia. From the very first time he pooped the night we got him his poop has been liquid and now I'm terrified that my older dog, my family and I might catch this human transmittable disease. The very first moment we saw our little puppy through the glass, he poop pure liquid which a technician wiped up right away and I'm wondering why Petland wouldn't test a puppy with liquid poop for parasites before selling them for $7000 to a customer. This is very serious. read more

Samuel was kind and helpful. He introduced us to a lovely, gentle, and playful cockapoo. He gave us plenty of time to get to know the puppy, and even brought us cold bottles of water. There was no pressure given to make a decision right away, but options were given. All of the dogs appear to be well cared for. read more

if you want to pay a fortune for a beautiful precious pet that gets sick within days.....Petland Naples is where to go. They have a very long history of unsavery sales.......knowingly selling sick pups. You fall in love with the pooch and that's the pitch. they come from different breeders to this part I pet store. they are babies and their immune system is weak. too many different varieties getting the same sicknesses. they come in healthy from breeders and get sick in this particular facility.....or are peddling sick pups tp begin with. They have a long history in this area for such malfience . just google it. buyer beware. I recommend you never have anything to do with store. it's cruel to the pooces, the unsuspecting buyers, the subsequent pet bills and if you see them you would fall in love. you can buy a car or pay months on your mortgage for what they cost. they are used to legal ramifications and won't give you their full names, which they say is their policy. Sound shadey or what. they are used to the legal ramifications. if you have purchased a pet already and had medical issues or death, call the Petland credit card who are financing the dogs purchase and the pet insurance company that are supposed to cover them, Kanguro 888-546-5264. they are aware of the situation. call grace vet services in Estero, who they send you to, 239-494-1431 and validate how many Naples Petland pups they have had to care for and treat. I was there in less than a week of getting my pup and coincidentally ran into two other folks in the clinic who recently got their pups. one had to go to the em room. guess where they were all purchased? you got it.......Petland, Naples. we need to look out for the dogs first.....because something is wrong. then those of us who are unsuspecting suckers. then the insurance company, presuming they cover the issues. ask for your money back,,,,and don't go there to begin with. u read more

Bought a puppy from Petland and I have taken her to a veteran who said that she is a sick puppy and she has been hospitalized and been in ER for the past two-days. This has been a disaster and very stressful and expensive so I will get legal help. They are puppy mill dogs, cute but sick. read more

Do not book an appointment or purchase a puppy here. Their policy not to disclose the price until the very end of the process. Most unethical transaction ever. Prices above $7k? No warranties? Why are they still in business? Walk away if you can! read more

Sold us a six thousand dollar dog that when inspected by their own chosen Vet was diagnosed with health defects . They are not responding to the issue. Support contact company non responsive. They said the dog was AKC registered but AKC denies any registration and says the dog won't qualify as AKC. Geoffrey Bricker Is the Manager and it seems he and his associates and the store make representations and promises that are not to be trusted. Once you buy the pet they have no way to ever call the store. Their contracts fine print tells you you can't call the store. Unbelievable. Contracts are completely set up against the consumer getting full money back on defective dog. The worst place I could have picked to buy a dog. read more

I would give them no stars. I did not know when I walked in how many dogs they had for sale when millions are put down each year. I was not aware of any pet stores that are still selling pets. Contacted via ensign about a puppy at the Naples location, I was contacted by phone and text message the following morning. No detailed information about the puppy could be given to me by the phone or text they stated I would have to go there in person in order to find out what the cost is. That makes zero sense I will not travel 2 to 3 hours to find out the cost of a puppy. I want to know if it's in good health who the parents were where did it come from photos of the parents etc. no one knows anything seems like a scam they probably want way too much money. I have 3 girls between 5 and 9 so we stopped by Petland to check out the animals. They had a bunch of adorable puppies. Although we aren't able to adopt at the moment, they let us play with multiple puppies to get in some play time. They told us to stop back anytime to play with puppies. We came back a couple of days later and got to spend more time with different pups. Everyone who works there is so friendly and caring of the animals. Highly recommend! read more

I was researching where to buy a doodle and went to Petland. I found a bernedoodle and couldn't have asked for a better dog. She is very funny and nice and enjoys swimming. Her fur is soft like cashmere. She is very healthy and eager to learn and try new things. As far as the store goes, the dogs all seemed happy and you have to consider most dogs only stay here a few months max. I got domino because she seemed to be the most chill. She is indeed still chill but does require about 40 minutes of exercise a day like any dog. read more

This store is absolutely disgusting. It smelled as soon as you walked in. Too many dogs to one cage. They were all dirty with poop all over their paws and legs. Poop all over the cage floor and walls. When manager was approached about the condition by another customer he said " we'll they are dogs". Um no! This store should be shut down!!! The way they keep and treat the dogs is inhuman and disgusting. I bought my dog from a Petland in Pembroke Pines, FL and it was nothing like this. One or two dogs max to a cage. Cages clean and dogs clean and well taken care of. This store is a disgrace. read more

I contacted them about a puppy I had seen on their mr website. Very negative experience just over the phone. The person I spoke to didn't even know that the puppy was a girl and would not even discuss pricing unless I came in. And not even to the store where the dog was, because that was 2 1/2 hours away. They seemed to only want me to come in person to make a sakes pitch. Now, in the age of COVID. The person sounded a lot more like a used car salesman trying to get me in the store so they could pressure me. read more

We found the puppy of our dreams! Colleen was so patient with us and knowledgeable. We love our new puppy!

Smells like animal feces in the store and the manager has coke teeth. Also, it seems like the dogs all come from puppy mills, their cages are too small, and they seem stressed. Definitely not treating the animals responsibly or in a way that's healthy. Animal control should do an examination on this place. read more

This place is awful these poor puppies were way overcrowded in these areas they are sheltered in . I can just imagine what they are put in at night. They are suppose to have enough room to lay down snd stretch out. They had 8 puppies in one box and some of the biggest dogs had at least 3 . Some dogs only had room to sit. This is abuse and it is disgusting! read more

Love my new puppy! People bashing this business is totally un called for. This is a franchise so to group them into anyone else's experience with other pet stores is unfair. Someone's ability to or willingness to pay for a puppy here doesn't warrant negative feedback. Puppies come from top Breeders who give proper care to mother and babies, that all costs money. This Petland even warranties the life of the dog. read more

Horrible service, the sales lady sounded like she was selling an object instead of a living creature. After I brought my puppy home I noticed she was missing a paw pad, the nail, and bone. Vet told me it was a birth defect. read more

Outstanding experience! Jayda was patient as she helped us in the challenging process of adding another puppy to our family. We chose a mini schnoodle and could not be happier. Our vet gave her a thorough exam the following day and she is perfect in every way. No misrepresentation. The entire experience was first class. Jayda was up front and answered every question we had immediately. There were no surprises. We received all the papers along with the cost, the warranties and full disclosure of our puppies parents/health history/immunizations from birth. Our last puppy was adopted/rescued from Collier County Humane Society. The experience with Petland was much more enjoyable. I highly recommend Petland! I went in the other day and saw the puppies in the kennels and there were multiple in one kennel. The girl came up to me and started explaining all the puppies and she acted like she knew what she was talking about but one thing she didn't want to tell me is how much. She kept pushing me into going into one of the areas with a puppies me then she can explain the process. Some employees were carrying around puppies and one girl I even witnessed pushing one of the puppies in the kennel and another guy practically throwing the puppy. This is what happens when you hire these type of people!!! Why is this place even open???? Save the puppies and get this place shut down!!!!! Those poor puppies are way overpriced, they want you to pay 5-10k for a totally untouched puppy.

$8,500 for a Pug, who looked very depressed, not a curl in his tail, in a small glass box with 3 other puppies. The smell as I walked in nearly knocked me on my back. Their paws were dirty, poop in the bottom of the cages. If I could have taken every one of them home I would. read more
