*****Beware!!! ***** PetSmart grooming!!! Naples Florida location...Multiple Grooming techs claimed the cages in which our pets are placed in at the store have sharp edges which cut my babies paw !! Very disturbing if it's true!! Brought my fur baby in all fine. Picked her up and all cut up on her paws with no answers and manager asking "what you want me to do about it". So frustrating!!! Horrible management. Will NEVER have my fur babies groomed at any PetSmart again and I'll also make sure to post this everywhere so consumers are aware! Had to request to have my baby to see a vet after being told they would do nothing different than clean it and just put liquid bandaid...ps. Vet put her on a 2 wk antibiotic! Then had to demand a refund of the service which took an additional day to be done. Store Manager was heartless and didn't care about his customer or the well-being of my pet! read more

Absolutely adore this grooming salon! As someone who has a giant breed dog, it's incredibly hard to find someone to take him. Especially at a reasonable price. My boy has been going to the groomer, Denise, since he was 4 months old. The best part is that she truly loves and cares for him like he's her own & she always tells me if something looks off! My boy is 110lbs at 7.5 months old, and although he's as sweet as can be, that's a lot of dog. Denise has never shied away from anything I've asked her to try with him and he always comes home smelling wonderful & looking like a dapper gentleman. The best part is knowing how much my boy, Aslan, loves her! I mean seriously, he gets very excited to walk into grooming & follows Denise back to the bathing area without issue. I will be moving within the next year and plan to make the hour drive, once a month, to continue the wonderful grooming experience I've had with Denise. My dog was there for almost 6 hours. When I stopped in at 3.5 hours, Denise, the groomer, was working on a dog that came in 2 hours after he did. Then later that night my dog was lethargic, wouldn't eat: the next day he woke to goop in his eyes and what seemed like painful ears. He was worse by that evening. Monday am I took him to the vet and they gave him immediate antibiotics and had to keep him overnight. He almost died, he has some type of bacteria that could have killed him. The fact that he was left in a cage which may have had some type of bacterial infestation for so many hours is wrong, cruel and should be investigated. Denise and her manager for allowing this type of dog abuse and personal time abuse, should be removed from any customer service position. They have no clue how to keep a place safe and clean - or how to treat the dogs as living beings - not just a way to make a buck. Besides the fact that they shaved my long haired Shih Tsu - completely shaved - and had the nerve to charge a $20 dematting fee-- dematting what? You shaved him. Never again- and no one else should either. Over $500 at the vet and $130 at the groomer-- all should have been avoided. read more

I also saw one of the groomers mishandling one the dogs in the back by carrying the dog upside down while placing them in the cage. I was in a time crunch so decided to try out PetSmart grooming. They cut one ear 2 inches shorter than the other side. Each paw is a different length of fur. So I had to spend 30 minutes evening everything out. They didn't cut his nails because he was too rowdy so they said they'd apply a discount, but I had my husband go pay so I didn't realize they added a $26 fee for a "deluxe" add on, and no discount. They did not do anything the deluxe add on specifies. I brought him in 10 minutes late and they said it would be a while until they get to him so he was there for 4 hours and sitting in a cage most of the time. He also came back with FLEAS. When we finally picked him up his paws were "soaking wet" and his coat was still full of loose fur! The picture attached is after two passes of a brush! Was here for grooming. I have to say I was very disappointed in the way that my dog was groomed. The one thing that I asked for was that she was not completely shaved off. And that's exactly what they did. I was given a chart before she got her haircut and I selected the #7 blade which was the second to shortest length. I did not realize that this means that they would make my dog bald. she was a very hairy girl but I did brush her with a slicker brush, she only had minimal matting yet they still charge me $20 instead of $10. Said they wouldn't take her if she wasn't de matted which I said fine. I asked the gentleman about the hair chart, "should I do the #5 or #7 blade. And he suggested the #7 because the number five "wouldnt be enough for her matted hair". You can search up the petsmart fur chart online for reference but this was not at all what I wanted. I only wanted her to have a shorter coat, not completely shaven and I specifically requested that. I'm only giving this review a three star because everybody there was very pleasant, and I was very pleasant to them back despite really hating how they groomed my dog. There was a very good groomer there, who was also the manger, but she left a few months ago and I decided to go back and try someone else and boy was that a mistake. I used a groomer who was there for awhile, she has an accent (English accent), and I must say she is not friendly and unwilling to put in extra effort for anything. Every answer was it's going to have to be shaved. So I leave my dog and come back and he looks decent not as good as the last groomer who left. I come home and notice the dogs undercarriage is all cut up from using a bare razor with no guard. WHO DOES THAT? He needless to say was licking his wounds for at Least a week and uncomfortable. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! There are always new inexperienced people working there and rude! read more

On April 7th, I purchased $150 for a hamster cage, accessories, & a hamster for my three year old son. Prior to purchasing the employee said a hamsters lifespan is 2-years. After a two-weeks, the hamster began to escape from the cage by opening one of the top door areas. PetSmart refuses to exchange it because they have a no-return policy, although the cage itself was faulty. After speaking with a supervisor she finally agreed. However, I had to pay for the other cage instead of doing an exchange. Therefore, my cost is now at $200. On April 29th, the hamster was not as active as he usually is. We tried putting him in the ball & he wouldn't move, then took a closer look at him & called the vet & they said he was probably having a seizure. The vet said he will either fully recover in a few hours or pass that night. The hamster did fully recover that night. However, the next night I realized the hamster was not moving much again. I went to check on him & he had passed away. I called PetSmart to see if we can replace him since my three year old is wondering where his pet Hulk Smash is & we had him less than a month. PetSmart is refusing to do anything at all since it's past the 15-day return period. I offered to show them photos/videos that are time stamped with how he was acting & they didn't care to see. Moral of my story, save your money & purchase from another vendor who will actually want to help when something is wrong with their product & their animals. read more

Kimberly answered, was very kind and professional, and told us to come down even though they were closing shortly. Took us as a quick last minute walk-in 15 minutes before closing, with a smile! It's always fun to visit the pet store. Petsmart is a superstore of pet stores. I am not sure how good their pricing compares to some online options, but when it's time to get something pet related, their assortment is deep and the staff is friendly enough. Of course the store is pet friendly and you often see other shoppers with their animals in tow. I have no problem with this and see many places in the Naples area that allow pets to come with their owners. This is great because my wife likes to bring our dog. Good experience. I called and they said they could not see the order. I ordered it again. Same thing but customer service said they could see both orders but they could not cancel them. I was told I would receive an email when they shipped. I paid for expedited shipping. Nothing. 2 weeks later I received one of them. On Paypal my account had been deducted for both. Called again and they said I had to return the super heavy gate to a store. They said they would refund my money for the gate I had not received but it could take up to 20 days!!! The employee went into the back and I found one hidden inside another product. In a coastal town, I would expect that all employees would know the location of this important safety item. read more

I have had quite a few nail trims at this petsmart. I have had a younger guy with darker I think curly hair, who was amazing with my dog who gets pretty anxious during nail trims. My dog was even happy after the appointment, he deserves a 5 star review. I took my dog in today and asked for a trim which they usually cut the nails, but I noticed today when I got to the register I saw they were doing a nail grinding (which my dog has not had done previously because it makes her more anxious) as I'm checking out at the register I see my dog flailing around and yelping which she typically doesn't do other than for the the few times the nail was cut a little to short. Then I was told that next time I would hav a extra $10 handling fee because she was so hard to handle. I will definitely be asking for the younger guy if I take her back here. We left the appointment with her having a meltdown and pulling me out the door, which never happens read more

We got there and the grooming salon was VERY busy, couldn't believe they would have taken him this day! They did. It was our first visit to their grooming salon, and Leila (dog stylist), did an AWESOME job. Jack (our dog) looked terrific. And the price ($46), for the full package is very reasonable! I'm extremely disappointed with the grooming service done on my terrier mix. I dropped him off early in the morning and explained to the girl at the front that I wanted him trimmed up but keep fuller around the face since that's a typical request for terriers. When I picked him up he was completely shaved down, his poor face looks ridiculous she shaved all of his hair and whiskers off. His skin is irritated and genitals so sensitive that it's bleeding. Seriously! Obviously, I will never bring him back just wished I would have read reviews first. read more

I brought my dog there for a trim, she came out of there, completely shaved... the employees at the grooming center were rude and lazy, it was easier just to shave her than to undo a couple of knots around her neck. When I picked her up, she told me that the good news was that her hair would grow back, thanks for stated the obvious...two days later, my dog is still down and depress, I am really wondering how they treated her as they were extremely rude to my daughter because she got there 5 min late... when I got there to pick my dog up, the 3 of them were sitting down chatting, why the big fuss then, they weren't that busy and now I know why! Never in my life could I understand this one. My husband traveling from Chicago to Naples with our 3 dogs. My oldest golden retriever is almost 12 and my husband said she wasn't doing well at all. I go over to this supposed animal hospital on a Sunday. Explain my situation, they have a 3:45 opening and close at 5. They refused to give me the 3:45 appointment and referred me to the Emergency animal hospital. I already know about that hospital I explain I just want you to take a look at her until I can get to the vet in the morning. NO!! They were afraid they may have to stay a few minutes late. No compassion what so ever. 12 year old beautiful golden that will NEVER step foot in that place. Find a new profession doctor whoever you are. Vets are supposed to be compassionate. You should take a look at your credentials. I can't leave a negative 0 but that's how I would rate this service!! read more

I wish I could give the grooming department 0 stars. I took my 3 month Italian greyhound to get her nails trimmed which I thought would be easy enough. They first put her in a restraint that was too loose so she squirmed (because she is a puppy) and almost fell off the table twice, if that wasn't enough the woman cutting her nails turned her back while my dog almost fell off the table again. She also cut one of the nails too close and she left bleeding. They started to file them and I just told her to give my dog back. Will NEVER be going back. Careless and neglectful service.
