The woman who answered the phone was super helpful. patiently answered all my anxious questions and explained that they would do their best to take care of her. She did mention If it was an extreme case, I may have to take her to the vet, but normally they're able to handle spicy kitties. I didn't even have to make an appointment, she said come in anytime that they're open. I drove right over and the groomer and her daughter came to the front, handled my girl super quickly and professionally, and it was done in about two minutes! So grateful I found them and will definitely be back! Just FYI they do charge to pay with card and since the nail trim is only five dollars It's really in your best interest to bring cash! read more

I have a short haired, 15 pound dog that does not handle heat well at all, and also sheds like crazy. Trimming her for summer is a giant pain and I was hoping to get someone else to do it. Petco just looked at me stupidly and refused to trim her, saying "There's nothing to trim." Not true at all! I know, because I trim her myself. Just say you don't know how to trim short haired dogs and be done with it. Anyway, discovered Paws & Jaws as they are right next to my vet. They agreed to trim her, and my husband just brought her home a few minutes ago. I couldn't be more pleased! She looks amazing! Nice and neatly trimmed with no razor cuts. She is smooth and not shedding at all and smells amazing to boot. I also got her teeth cleaned and they look great as well. Almost as good as after I've paid hundreds of dollars to have her put under so the vet can do a full cleaning. All I could do was snuggle her and tell her how gorgeous she is! Took my dog here for just a simple bath. Dropped her off in them morning and didn't get her back until closing. I called all day to check up and no answer. Finally i get an answer and they said yes she has been done we are just busy. When I went to pick her up she was in the cage and appeared to have just gotten her bath and still wet. She looked absolutely terrified, this is not like my baby. After I pressured it out of them they mentioned that she had slipped off the table and hung her self. I took her home and she didn't move off of the couch for about two days. She was clearly in pain/shock. Took her to the vet and it cost me $650. Come to find out she had suffered some neck injury. After a long 7 hour grooming appointment, I was told my Yorkie had a green discharge from her eye, to keep an eye on it, if this is not a normal situation for her. As I looked over my pooch, I noticed it was not a green discharge eye issue, what happen here was a nick on the upper left eye lid! This is unacceptable! As a result, my pooch is now having difficulty opening her left eye. My dog was dehydrated and completely weak and sick looking. This is the first and the last! I CAN'T BELIEVE WHAT PAWS AND JAWS DID TO MY BABY! Both of her eyes are bleeding on the inside! Some type of hemorrhage. I rushed her to my vet right after picking her up from grooming and Dr. Dan said he'd seen this kind of thing before by groomers. He said its usually cause by blunt trauma (like a blow or fall from a high place) or from choking! OMG I have been crying hysterically since I saw her. I confronted the owner and manager about it and they refused to take any responsibility, refused to pay all the vet bills that they caused, and refused to give me my money back. What I DID get from them was a totally lack of morals and compassion for what they did to my poor baby. Oh and I forgot to mention that they also cut her ear! Now she has to be on 3 more medications on top of her other medications. I am devastated and furious over what they did to her. I share this so no one else's pet ever gets hurt in their care again. I recently started bringing one of my dogs here again since she was experiencing a skin rash that was unexplainable according to vets. One of the ladies there recommended for us to bring our weenie dog once a week for several weeks until she was better, and we have brought her now for 3 weeks and YES she's getting better! Have taken my senior lady here a few times. She's always been treated well, and after they groom her, she is super soft. We don't get her shaved, as it will mess her coat up, but we get her bathed and her nails trimmed. They do a really good job of keeping her calm while we leave.
