I called Paw Spa this afternoon if I could take my pup today for grooming, and they were able to squeeze me in right away. Brought my pup, which was in a desperate need of a major grooming, and the man at the shop advised it would take 2-3hrs and charged me $45, which I thought was quite reasonable. This shop only takes cash as payment, no credit cards. My pup is a small to medium size dog. Went to kill time while my dog got his grooming, and 1.5hrs later I get a call that my dog was getting wrapped up and ready for pick up, which was quicker than my estimated time I was given. Paw Spa did such a great job, that I was so amazed, my pup looked like a completely different dog. I couldn't stop smiling bc she looked so cute, what a transformation! read more

First time using this establishment as I'm new to the High Desert. The staff is very kind and accommodating when calling for an appointment. I was able to get my pet in when I requested. They followed the instructions for how to groom my pet as well. They cut him a little shorter than I would have liked but hopefully that will be resolved with the next cut as I do plan to return. The 4 stars is because they only accept cash which is ridiculous for any repeatable business this day and age. The owner should set up PayPal or CashApp accounts or something if they don't want to pay credit card fees. No one carries cash anymore. read more

My little Yorkie can never sit still long enough to get his haircut evenly. I took him to the Paw Spa this morning all grungy haired and when I came to pick him up he looked like a whole new pooch! They were able to cut all the hair around and on his face as well as between his tiny little toes! My baby has never smelt so good before! I feel even more in love with him. I brought my dog Marley here for the first time today. She came out looking amazing!!! Her grooming was perfect even though she was scared of the loud noise the clippers make. When we went to pick her up they gave us tips on trying to get our dog comfortable with the clippers which is super appreciated. They did say it would cost a little extra next time if two groomers needed to work on her because of her moving around and being scared, which is okay with us. I love that they were honest, invited her back and she came out looking great!!! Unlike when we took her to PetSmart and they charged us an arm and leg because she moved while getting groomed. On top of that they told us she wasn't welcomed back because of her being scared and hard to work with! I was like jeez okay? Took my Dog here a couple times, If your dog has sensitive skin do not take them here. My dog comes back every time with a rash all over her body from them brushing way too hard. This last time she came back something happened to her back and she wouldn't let me touch it (it was hurt to the touch). I have had about 3-4 great experiences and have referred people to take their pets here but this last visit with them has unfortunately over powered the other great times. My fiancé took our 2 dogs to get groomed and specified with the gentleman what kind of cut was wanted for the dogs, stating we wanted everything the same as last time as far as wash, nails, teeth and shampoo. The only thing different would be the cut, he specified a teddy bear cut for both. Instead of getting that cut they went based of our last visit and gave our dogs a summer cut in the middle of winter! They shaved all their hair off !!!!!! They had told my fiancé there would be an extra charge because of the hair being matted and even more because it was raining and we had no problem with that. Their communication skills are horrible, after the fact they said supposedly if they couldn't comb the matting out they would call us and let us know but we have no call, no text and no form of them trying to reach us to communicate this to us. On top of that they left one of our dogs with razor burns in his private area to the point where he couldn't even sleep last night!!!! My fiancé went this morning to see how they would rectify the issue and instead Jerry just argued with him for 30 minutes. Stating how we can't get a refund because it would come out of their groomers pay and saying if he is wrong then he is wrong but he can't do anything about it . I have been taking my pups here for awhile and they are pretty inconsistent. Sometimes my dogs look great and other times it looks rushed. I brought them here the other day and my terrier had an uneven face and I found a tick on him as soon as we got home. The consultation was thorough with questions like what shampoo to use on Oliver (my dog) to explaining very clearly with realistic expectations for Oliver's cut. When I went to pick up Oliver he seemed happy, I'll take that as they took care and time to make sure he wasn't scared. The groomer has provided an adorable bow tie for him and a cute goody with treats for him. The cut was perfect, they managed to make it short (which is what we had discussed) yet still fluffy! The groomer even went over tips to make his next cut even better by training him to get his paws used to being touched. If anyone wants a great groomer, I'd highly suggest this location. read more
