I went to Pawn America Fridlley to Pawn a TV!. I had fallen behind on my bills and needed just a few extra funds to get me caught up. What a waste of time at the jewelry counter! Sales person turns and looks and then turns back around to keep talking to his co-workers instead of asking of you want to see anything. He finally comes over and while we're looking at rings he simply walks away and tries on a ring himself. The other sales person just ignores everyone. Sales guy comes back and just stands there. I had 2 rings I was going to buy but decided to leave. I won't to back. They used to have a good team there. read more

It should be -1 stars. I spoke to a CS person in the morning and told I was interestered in pawning my 1975 Gibson S-1. A rare and expensive guitar, I was told for sure they were interested and would give me 45% of the market value. When I brought it in the CS person accused me of bringing in a non authentic Gibson because he wasn't smart enought to see the serial number. Then another guy came in and said they would hold off because of the condition. Are F'n kidding me!!!!!! It's had the body buffed and polish the electromics redone and had a fret job in the past year. It's a beautiful guitar in excllent shape. And they simply said they weren't interested after I drove on the conversation with another CS person said oh for sure they would be interested. Absolutely the worst. Literally the slowest pawn shop in existence. You will stand in line for a half hour without moving an inch. Yep, they're still working on pricing the same Xbox or Milwaukee tool they were 30 minutes ago. This has occurred on numerous occasions. How hard is it to look up a price and make an offer. I tried to sell my Xbox 360 controller but they would only offer me 5 dollars and I had to have a cord with it include with it even though they sell the controller on eBay with out it. And tried to sell my Nintendo switch joy cons but said they had to be charged so that they could give me money even though they have switches at the place to see if they work anyway never coming back to this place. read more

This establishment refused to conduct business with my wife or myself, citing our IDs were not valid due to city regulation. However, upon further research I discovered the woman who was helping with us lied to us. While the establishment overall was well organized, this encounter with the staff makes it unlikely we will ever return. We managed to conduct our business at another establishment. read more

I don't typically shop Pawn stores, but was curious to check it out. Reading others reviews, I thought it necessary to voice my experience which was beyond my expectations. Mind you, it was a Friday afternoon and wasn't too busy. Pawn America is conveniently located right off 694 and Central. I stopped by Pawn America to check their selection of products (which is always rotating). I found a very pleasant experience with sales associates. All were very knowledgeable, kind and helpful. I specifically went to check out jewelry and computers, but found myself wandering to see all the goods. There is a ton of selection of computers, tools, gift cards, coins, many electronic items, tvs, instruments, cameras, lawnmowers, movies, video games, sports equipment and so much more. I will definitely stop by again, as I found great customer experience, reasonable prices and quality products at a fraction of the price of new. I think it's important to have stores like these available, as we live in a disposable world and if you may not want or need, maybe another will find use. read more

Meh... That's about what I can say about PawnAmerica. Lots of overpriced crap for sale for the most part. I know they will wheel and deal a little bit, but who wants to deal with that. Video games and cd's are cheap there though. I've never pawned anything there but I'm guessing they give you fucking without a courtesy reach around. Broke my item while in loan. When I tried to talk to someone about it all of the managers disappeared, refused to talk to me and another person from "payday america" says they were the manager (even though they did not want to help while I was waiting in line) and that they would call the cops for trespassing. Not only wasting my time but also handling things unprofessionally and escalating the situation for no real reason. Really wish I could give zero stars. read more

This place is a complete joke. I went in to try and get a loan on my laptop, never having any issues prior to this recent visit. I wasn't to happy with the amount they had offered but had grudgingly agreed to the offer, even though it was not as much as I was hoping for. I had already signed and agreed to the amount that was offered when the clerk had told me that they were going to make an exception to just take my laptop without the charging cord because supposedly there was an issue with the cord and it as they claimed to be a "fire hazard" and then proceeded to offer me even less than what was originally agreed upon. When I had walked in the door, there wasn't any issues with the charging cord as I had inspected in prior to leaving my house. The clerk there had damaged my property, and didn't acknowledge or apologize for it. This is far beyond ridiculous for this to even happen. I will not be conducting business at this location or any other location any more. read more

The staff at this location are rude and unprofessional. The store opened at 10am today, but the staff was not able (or willing) to assist any customers because they had not completed their opening tasks. The guy at the jewelry counter had a horrible attitude and was rude with everyone who approached the counter all because he was not ready to work. I will NEVER step foot in this store again. I went to get a loan against an almost new paslode nailer and milwaukee 18v fuel skill saw, I have had them to coon rapids location and recieved $200 a couple times recently , I told them this at fridley and they said then bring it back to them otherwise they would give my $120 i just purchased them at home depot for $785 a few months prior and have only used them a couple times each. the person at the counter had a attitude right from the start. I dont know what the persons name was but they were young had short hair and i couldn't tell if it was a boy or a girl, they were very rude and its obvious why they were slow with no business and coon rapids was packed. with customer service like this boy/girl had they are sure to lose tons of business. read more
