Quinn hanging out with her pal!

My pup Quinn has so much energy and Elisa and Ethan know how to handle her. I love the their concept with overnight boarding...no crates! Ethan and Elisa take Quinn for walks and runs. Great drop off and pick up service. They sends pics of your pup during the day and evening and keep you updated. I highly recommend Pawmenities for your doggy day care needs and training!

Can't recommend Pawmenities enough. They're the best of Boston. I don't trust my pup with anyone else. Ethan and Elisa are the best!

I hate writing a negative review and would normally just let it go, but I can't in good conscience…read morerecommend this business for daycare as my life and my pups life has been completely altered after sending him here. I moved to Boston in November and decided to send my dog to daycare and boarding here as it's close by to my home. Previously my dog was in daycare for years in our other city we lived in and he absolutely loved it. Immediately upon arriving to this location it is incredibly small. I believe they take the pups on pack walks so they're not inside the whole day. It's so small inside I don't see how they even have enough room to play. I started sending my dog here on Saturdays and I noticed he would start crying when we would turn onto the block. I'd drop him off and he would have a complete meltdown and I didn't understand why, as the staff here is incredibly kind. I also had to start traveling for work, so when my pet sitter couldn't stay with him I'd send him to boarding, which they'd transport him to their Roxbury location. It was like pulling teeth to get any updates on how he was doing. They don't answer their texts sometimes for a full day. I had to beg them to finally start uploading a report card just to know how he was doing or if he was ok. The lack of communication alone should have been a big enough red flag to stop sending him here, along with the stress he seemed to be under upon drop off and pick up. In January I sent him for boarding for a work trip and a couple days after I picked him up he got incredibly sick. He ended up having to be hospitalized for a couple of days and I paid almost $10k in vet bills. They said he likely caught something from another dog. Several months later, again after a work trip he now won't let any of my dog walkers approach him with his prong collar. I don't know if maybe someone at the Roxbury location handled him aggressively with his collar, but he's 5 years old and has been wearing this collar since he was a year and a half old. We have never had issues with it until I started sending him here. I have no idea if something happened to him at that location since their communication is abysmal. A couple of days after this, I saw a Facebook thread of a woman who sent their dog here for a simple nail trim and they gave her pup back with a popped blood vessel in its eye and said they had no video footage to provide when she asked. Everyone in the comments said that a popped blood vessel in the eye is a sign of strangulation, and people started sharing their terrible experiences about this place. This would make sense why my pup doesn't want anything near his neck anymore. I'm not sure why there aren't many google reviews, but there were hundreds of comments of people sharing their unsettling stories here. On top of the financial stress this has put me under, I've also had to completely change my work schedule to walk my dog since he doesn't trust any walkers anymore. I now have him in a harness and have been doing more training with him, but I've had to cancel all of my travel for work because of this. I've never had any behavioral issues with my dog until sending him here.

Prior to going to red dog, she has gone to 2 different doggy day cares (due to relocating). People used to ask me how I knew she liked going and I told them "it's because she's always so excited to go inside and usually drags me in the door. At her past daycares, the workers were some of her favorite people. When I moved to Boston, the was NOT the case at the red dog resort. In fact it was the opposite, as she was dragging me away from the place and was visibly shaking when I would drop her off after her first couple of stays. I told the front desk person I was concerned but gave them the benefit of the doubt and simply asked they give me a call to check in later that afternoon to give me some peace of mind. Nobody called me. This happened TWICE on two separate occasions back to back. When I picked her up the second time I told them how frustrated I was and they told me that the daycare is very big and busy and they can't keep up with call requests despite being told before that it wasn't a problem the day prior. They also told me that the manager Bobby would give me a call to rectify this and after over WEEK he never called me. I have still not heard from anyone about this except for a text message from them that ended with them continuing to string me along waiting for a call. Their customer service and management seems to be run poorly and appears to be impacting the quality of their care (as evidence of my dogs physical reaction to going into their care). I am very frustrated for my dog and for myself for giving them so many chances.
