I absolutely love coming to this local business for the hardscaping projects we have for our home. I have purchased pavers, gravel, and everything else in between to redo our sidewalks and driveway. They have a great selection of materials and products. The best part of coming here is the help my husband and I have received from them. We've gotten a lot of great advice and ideas from Alexis. We couldn't have done it without her. She also sent out a delivery of materials way sooner than expected so we didn't miss a weekend to work on our project. We highly recommend coming here for any stone, paver, and gravel needs. They really go the extra mile to take care of you here and we are super appreciative of that. Thanks again!!!

Huge slabs of patio stones, we spent hours breaking up. Gravel dumped on our grass despite the $100+ delivery fee and $25 gravel bin fee.

I like to support local businesses, so this is our 2nd large order with them. However, it'll be the last project with them and I definitely wouldn't recommend them. I ordered a 1000 lb of Gold Rush Patio Stone and a yard of minus crushed rock. I also paid $100+ for delivery, and $25 for a gravel bin delivery fee. I only live a mile away, but I thought it was fine to support a local business and was paying for premium service. There were two problems with my order: 1) The patio stones came in large slabs instead of patio size stones. The exact same stones came in reasonable 16-20" pieces for my last project. These were large 4' by 4' slabs. When I emailed them my concern, they said "The patio stone can be broken if the pieces are too large. Using a hammer, with or without a chisel is a precise method." So we bought a 3lb hammer and concrete chisel, and spent many hours breaking it up. 2) The gravel was dumped on our grass. We paid for a delivery gravel bin fee. So I naively assumed the gravel would be delivered in bins or at least one a plastic sheet. Instead, the ruined a corner of our lawn. It was a time consuming mess trying to shovel it all to our project. They responded with "The gravel bin fee is because the bins take up extra space and weight on our truck, which reduces how many deliveries can be made on a trip." I guess I should've been grateful I didn't have to pay an additional truck fee or driver fee on our $100+. Long story short, save your time and money and go somewhere else.

Almost all the employees I've interacted with have been pleasant, helpful, and friendly with very few exceptions. Regarding 'haggling' with them, in the few cases where I felt it was appropriate, they were always willing to entertain a fair transaction. Funny how that works-- if you come in with the right attitude! (I'm lookin' at you, 1- and 2-star reviewers! ) Salvage work is hard, and dealing with jackwagon 'hagglers' or unprepared 'customers' makes it harder. Show the BR folks some love; save the self-righteous attitude for Restoration Hardware.

There is a lot of parking, though there is some sketchy street activity (rvs etc) in that area. This would be an incredibly fun place to shop if you were decorating a home or business... they have mass amounts of light fixtures, windows, doors, hearths, door knobs... plus a section of furniture. And by furniture I mean in any form. Old restaurant booths and stools, large armoires, nice old solid wood pieces. I was hoping to find some local or retro Seattle art, and it was a little sparse today, though I expect it gets picked through frequently. Will definitely come browse again in the future.

I was a little excited to be trying Limback after living in Seattle for twenty years of doing home…read moreimprovement projects using only big chain stores and Dunn Lumber. Turns out the experience with Limback was a great disappointment and worse than any experience I've had with any other lumber purchase. I contacted Limback because I planned to build my porch with Ipe and wanted high quality lumber, and with half of the boards at twenty feet I knew I would be trying to locate an unusual length. Limback had the boards I needed, and I quickly purchased them, with confirmation that they would hold them for a couple of weeks until I could have them delivered to the job site. While those days passed, Limback sold my purchased lumber to someone else. Then they waited to tell me, embarrassed about the screw-up. Then I was told that now that they were out of stock there was no way to know when they would get more Ipe. I ended up buying through Crosscut Hardwoods in SoDo, which was another crappy experience with worse quality lumber. Then, to add insult to injury, when I found that one of the boards from Crosscut was badly bowed and couldn't be used, I called Limback to see if they could redeem themselves a bit. I was told that sure, I could come over and go through all the ten-footer boards they now had in stock (a few weeks after the initial, botched sale). Then, while I was going through the boards at Limback to find just the one I would buy, an employee came by and chided me for looking through their stock and told me I couldn't do it - which I ignored - putting the nail in the coffin for me ever going back to Limback.
