    Mussel marinara and creamy

I used to love this buffet. I've only started going after they stopped doing lobster specials, sadly I missed all that. When I used to go it was 39$ for dinner(2019). Fridays and Saturdays they had duck magret and crab legs. Other menu highlights were Baby back ribs and shrimp tempura which are all still available. This is an update since they reopened in April 2022. First reopening since March 2020. The main complaint was always not enough selection. While this is true, it really frees you up to just eat what was good and not go all fomo trying to beat the deal... the quality was superior, it tasted good from dessert to pizza. At 39$ it was a good deal. Now the buffet costs 55$. The selection has not widened. There are some new items, like osso buco single portion with mashed potatoes, general Tao chicken portion with rice (3pcs), gnocchi in cream sauce with pancetta, hummus with fried pita cracker (pass lol), two types of mussels marinara and creamy (used to be one), seafood casserole, portioned shrimp cocktail (3). Paella. The same: The duck magret is still good as always, they cut it up for you and it's medium, in my opinion it is the best item on the menu Clam chowder is still good, creamy and balanced Shrimp tempura is still the same, smaller shrimp now, light batter and now served in single portion of four. Baby back ribs are still the same but this time it was a bit dry Seafood with crispy noodle, good solid dish. Carving station is the same What's worse: I wasn't blown away by the new stuff. General Tao chicken tasted a bit too sour. Now portioned with rice, so you can't choose how much rice or chicken you get... I'm not for this. Things in single portions get paired... if it's the right ratio for you it's ok but if you portion differently it's annoying. I usually portion less carbs so this drives me nuts. The new stuff: The gnocchi was terrible, seemed out of place. did not taste good, that was a first for me... too rich and bland and the gnocchi texture was tough and drying out... compared to the rest this one is below par in terms of quality. If the gnocchi was better it would be a nice thing to add to this buffet. The paella was ok for the taste but not great paella. Had sausage and shrimp and mussels. No crusty bottom, it's served out in single portion. Osso buco. Tastes good. But portioned with some mash potatoes... not liking this single portion theme where things are paired in a fixed portion ratio... I want my choices back. Seafood casserole tasted very good. Would have been nice if they had some vol o vent on the side we could pick up to eat with the casserole. Tho you could pick some bread stuff in the cold cuts section. Hummus with fried pita wedges. Meh? Didn't try... Make something I wanna try please? What got better: The pizza crusts is so much better. It's flaky, feels like it's made of croissant dough. Toppings are all good, the precut pieces are well portioned. The desserts got better all around. The selection seem better. New items: Paris Brest, craquelin choux, the mille feuilles has different flaky layer (like it better), tiramisu in a cup (this wasn't as good taste wise as the rest), cannoli, mini churros. Overall, I'm downgrading this from 4 stars to 3 stars. It doesn't feel like a good deal at 55$, the new stuff don't justify the price hike. At 39$ without the new items, there were enough good items to satisfy me. But now at 55$ it feels pricey, overall the quality of desserts are better but some of the new dishes hurt their quality score. I'm saddened, this used to be my favorite buffet in mtl, and now it seems there are no good buffets in mtl...

This use to be a super high end buffet back in the day offering quality food in the past .. Have not been to this buffet since covid and I noticed the reservations have drastically decreased.. they no longer operate every day and are only open from Thursday to Saturday which is only 3 days ... and Sundays are only for the brunch menu. The reservation is limited we had to pre-book like a month in advance for the say and time we desired.. super limited. At least, as you come at your time slot they do seat you quickly and no unnecessary wait so that's pretty cool Food: subpar... :/ The food definitely was a huge downgrade .. the quality diminished so much in the past 4 years I'm so shocked and to add more fuel to the fire they raised the prices from 30$ to 55$ a person wow what an insult. I tried a bunch of stuff but it was all overwhelming... like the hummus dip pita was extremely sour The general tao dish was super sour again The clam chowder was super watery I use to remember it being super thick and creamy.. cutting cost definitely makes everything taste bland or adding a lot of soury flavour where you can't even taste the main ingredient ... the bread was stale The only good thing was the osso bucco with mashed potatoes cooked great and the smoked salmon was good Otherwise everything else was unedible my fried calamari were probably deep fried more than once couldn't even chew on it without losing a tooth Deserts were still frozen in the center lol I guess they brought them out thinking they were ready to be served but still were in the unthawing stage The reason I give it a 2 stars is the service The lady was super friendly helpful and caring and she did her beat to serve us everything we needed in a timely manner Overall, no way I'm coming back here with such poor quality food and with less options .. no way Avoid

It has been a wile since I been to the casino buffet. There is tons of parking but go early as it fills up fast. Public buses run on a schedule. Réservations are à must to get a table at the buffet. The buffet it self was clean and staff were helpful And friendly. The food itself was ok but not like it used to be. The staff did mention that they are short staff and they are doing the best they can. The soup was New England clam Chowder tasted like it came right out of a can. The salads were standard and you built them your self. The roast beef was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. This was my highlight of the buffet. The duck was seasoned well but was way over cooked. The pizza was also good and can tell that they were homemade and full of toppings. I had the three cheese pizza with pesto. The set plate of beef and mash potatoes was also a hit. Beef was tender and well seasoned and the mash potatoes were fluffy and light. The general toe chicken was so sweet I passed on eating it more and the rice was dry. The deserts looked good but most were still frozen in the center. Was disappointed in the quality of the deserts.

This is the 2 nd time going to Pavilion 67 buffet in the last year. We wanted to give them a second chance. The hostesses are still not friendly almost rude. The people working the buffet are not professionals or courtesies. There is a limited selection of salads . There was no shrimps or seafood as we were told when we called to make a reservation that Sunday brunch has it. There was lox which was very good . But no bagels or cream cheese .There was some cold cuts but very limited . They have a breakfast selection where you can get eggs, waffles, and crepes made to order. Which was very slow but good. There is another section for meats, fish, and pasta. The person cutting the roast beef was very unprofessional and clearly did not take pride in how he cut the meat or served the food. When I requested a medium cut of roast beef he gave me rare and full of fat. He told me that is what is medium. The way it was cut showed his lack of experience. The salmon was the best part of the meal . They have a great desert section with fresh fruits and big selection of deserts. Pavillon 67 was a big disappointment and the buffet quality of food was below average. I was not the only one disappointed in our group. We had a great time but the food, and service was a sure miss!

Treated my hubby out at his buffet after winning $170 at the slot machines!! Lol. This restaurant has the option to eat a la carte or buffet, and we wanted to pig out, so we chose the buffet. The ambiance here so romantic. Nice, dimly-lit, and not too loud. We were seated next to the kitchen, and it was pretty cool because we could watch the chefs cook behind a glass. Service here is also great, our waiter was super polite and attentive. Regarding the food, everything was just OK. They didn't have too much of a selection (maybe I'm so used to Las Vegas Buffets). They had the soup/salad bar, small area for seafood & poultry, and tiny dessert bar. Overall, hubby & I really only liked their dessert.

Aged beef for the roast beef! Amazing

Plan on eating your meal here like a hungry starving raccoon. We came for a family casino night dinner and I was mildly impressed on seafood night for the quality of the food. Selection is vast. Lineups are long for the warm food. However they do a fairly admirable job in ensuring chafing dishes are wiped down and the place doesn't look like Golden Corral on a busy night. Be quite patient though. Also avoid peak times IE 6-7pm unless you enjoy waiting in long lines. We are very early. I believe it was just before 5:00 pm. I must have eaten a half ton of tempura shrimp. They were delicious. The salmon and shrimp served were also delicious. I did try the roast beef as well. It was Impressive. There is a good salad bar but everyone comes for the main event. The warm food line. Selection is vast. Asian, pizza, beef chicken fish. It should all be available. See if you can eat 3-4 plates and unbuckle that belt buckle a few notches. The dessert selection is very solid with lots of different options. Too much food. It's very good but a belly buster! Enjoy!

For two years in a row now I've had a birthday dinner here and I must say last years visit was better then this years. I made a point of coming back here because I dreamt of all you can eat crab legs and I was disappointed to see they weren't here this time. Started with an amazing Moscow mule and the ginger beer was spot on ! There's a great choice of cold deli meats and cheese to start with or add in to a salad. There's a carving station with different meats and sauces to accompany them. The theme this time around was definitely geared towards the Asian route, there were egg rolls duck a lorange and other oriental items. A fair choice of options but I've seen more exciting buffet spreads. The dessert section was quite nice with lots of fruits and cakes, even a chocolate fountain to dunk your fruits in. I suggest the almond cake it was honestly my favourite. Overall a decent spot to get food within the casino but check ahead of time check what the menu looks like so that you know what your getting yourself into

    All of this please.

Located within the Casino. Pretty looking casino-buffet with solid food options for gamblers who need a break. You can order "a la carte" for some fancy menu options or just hit the buffet and stuff your mouth with the goods. My visit was due to a work activity and I stuck around with the "a la carte" menu. Escargot as an app (delish!), swordfish as a main (so moist!) and some kind of chocolate mousse (that didn't suck for a change!). Overall a very impressive meal. Swordfish could have used a kind of side-sauce or dip. It was so moist and tender but the flavor was a little weak. I would have really enjoyed even a small sauce of the side. I did sneak in a few bites from the buffet table my coworkers went with. Their general tao was really good! Overall, everyone was very satisfied with what they ate and the service was top notch.

Went there for lunch Saturday and disappointed with the tiny selection offered! $19/person for lunch which I thought was reasonable before going there. Once arrived, noticed that the selection of food for lunch is extremely small. You have a crappy salad bar, choice of only 2 meats (ham and chicken), some mussels, fried fish bites, 1 pasta dish, pizza, and some fries and vegetables. The taste of the food is edible that's all I can say. I frankly never went to a buffet to eat so little food. I barely ate at all. The only thing that made more sense was the selection of desserts...I can because they can use the leftover for dinner service. For that price, you are better off going to any other buffet in town for lunch. Service and decor are decent.

Bûche de Noël / Yule log

From my experience Quebec has the best casino in Canada, so I'm writing this based on my experience from two years ago when i went to Montreal with my friends, i thought we might as well go visit casino. We gambled till we felt hungry, most of the restaurants are quite expensive and the buffet has the shortest line. I'm not a big fan of buffet because my expectation in food is higher than average, I would choose quality over quantity. One of the best buffet I've been in Canada. We got in and then walked around, the selection is amazingly good with lobsters, smoked salmon and other seafood.. So far nothing had disappointed us. One thing that blew my mind out, it was the Bûche de Noël / Yule log that they served. The best dessert in the house, I believed they only serve this seasonal during Christmas! I cannot recall what the top part was but the middle was icecream and the bottom was crispy, the combination creates an interesting texture as well as a taste of heaven for dessert lover! The decoration of the cream with a blueberry gives an extra taste of Christmas.

I go today dinner at Casino for the deal 2 for 1: 2 persons for 31$. The price is reasonable for the food, can't expect more for a buffet meal at this price. If it was 31$/per person , it gonna be overpriced. Nothing really impressed me as advertising. Not many choice as buffet restaurant, food quality is so so like food served in school cafeteria. U go there more for the ambiance and for the service since the money you paid is more for these than for the food.

    Lily Y.

Food: I don't like buffets, but this one is definitely worth checking out if you are in the area. Definitely a Quality over Quantity brunch buffet but still has great selection of food choices, salty and sweet. Everything was fresh and hot/cold as the way they are supposed to be, there is even a chocolate fountain and crepe station where ur crepe is made to order! Service: Classy, fast and welcoming Price: Definitely worth the price! Ambiance: Upscale, chic but unpretentious. Big windows, chandeliers and neutral colors, way more high-class and trendy than your avg buffet.

I said I wasn't going to do it on this last visit, but I broke down. I'm talking about going to…read morethe buffet at Saveurs des Continents, the apparent new name for Buffet des Continents. The newer name means "flavors of the continents" when translated into English and that probably has a better ring to it than the previous name. The dishes here go all the way from 2 to 5 stars, so that averages out to 3.5 stars, which isn't so bad considering how much choice they offer. Mostly I take from the Canadian-North American, Italian, Greek, and Middle Eastern food. They also have a staffed grill where they can cut you a nice little slab of meat. They have a section with Asian food and I also noticed a sushi area, the latter of which is beyond my line of demarcation. This is why, as I've said on the previous review, you will be breaking bread with people from 5 continents. (Should there be a token Australian in attendance, that would take it up to 6 continents.) The service at Saveurs des Continents is fine. Be sure to engage the server in such a way that they don't forget you and won't clean off your table while you are going up to the buffet line to get another plate of food. (I've had that happen up at St. Jerome once, and the place was far from full.) In this case, the server and I spoke Spanish and he didn't mind at all because, after all, this is Montreal and it subscribes to the concept of a "cultural mosaic." Bring it on. There is also a person who will come around to take a drink order, but I go with the included coffee or tea. With all that said, the pricing scheme is fair. It is slightly different depending on the time of the day and day of the week. The pricing includes a gratuity to the tune of about 12.5%, if I recall correctly, that they distribute to the employees. You are free to give your server a little bit more if you choose to. So, in revisiting Saveurs des Continents, I'm going to go with 4 stars. They offer a lot of food choices across a broad spectrum, fair pricing, decent service, and a unique brand of quirkiness and diversity that you don't easily forget. Also, with REM joining the Metro system and Exo commuter trains, this newer light rail system can take you from the city to the south shore. Your stop will be the Panama station and, from there, there is a pedestrian underpass and path that goes to the shopping center with this buffet. One thing is that it will be easier to get back home with the light rail and not think of having to adjust your tilt steering wheel upward. Finally, if this American manages to come in here once on each visit to Montreal area, then this Saveurs des Continents is more realistically a 4 star sort of place.

I thought I had pre-booked a reservation, and we were running late. Parking in this area can be a trick. I dropped my wife off and continued to locate parking. She contacted me and said there was no reservation. I panicked as I parked my truck and sifted through my emails for a confirmation. I hustled the 0.4 miles back to her. When I went in the hostess said it wouldn't be a problem and brought us to a table. My wife later told me she was offered tea while she waited. The waiter was on spot. He knew their menu and provided us with his insights. All the food was Devine. Beautifully laid out and brought out each course in the perfect time. My wife loved the hibachi, she doesn't eat much in general and I do most of the cooking at home. She couldn't get enough of putting items in the hibachi and moving them around. Guess I need a hibachi at home lol. Also my wife is 86 pounds, so she gets cold easy. The hibachi was the perfect personal heater too!! We had a great time together. The ambiance had that perfect Japanese appeal, while still modern. I used to live in Japan so I can be skeptical when it comes to Japanese flair & food. This establishment did not disappoint. So if you are in Montreal, I highly recommend giving this place a go. Side note, pricing is very reasonable considering what is included in packages. And the Saki I had was delicious and looking it up for the going rate they make around $5 per bottle based on what they sell it for and market retail price (place around the corner up charges 110%). So you are more than getting what you pay for in my opinion. And sometimes you just cannot put a price on excellent service! We will definitely be returning when we venture. To Montreal again.
