Ordered my food here and I was not disappointed. I ordered club sandwich and Denver omelette for take out, and they are delicious. If you like old fashioned diner and great breakfast and sandwiches nearby Buena Park, this is a good place.

    Chili cheese fries. Meh

We tried a few things. The steak sandwich was too greasy and fatty and flavorless. The chili cheese fries were just average. I got the Avocado burger and wanted to send it back because I couldn't find the avocado. After the employee helped me search for it we found a tiny piece buried inside. Very unimpressed by this. If its an avocado burger you should see plenty of avocado. They should of gave me more to make up for it. Not planning on going back.

130 pm, Sunday, December 14, 2025 I told myself only the Colossal Burger, that's it! The cashier was so friendly, she asked if I wanted to upgrade it to the combo. Ugh... It was so hard to choose but I stuck to my choice. Burger only. Burger delivered to the table in four minutes! Since I didn't order a combo, there was no plastic basket. Instead it came on a disposable plate. The burger was great as always. It was hot off the grill, juicy, soft bun, fresh shredded lettuce, thousand Island dressing, topped with pastrami. In five minutes, it was gone... So, this is a great time to come to the drive thru (after the lunch rush dies down). There wasn't a line when I walked to the door or when going back to the car after I ate. Plenty of parking spaces.

Love coming here on Sundays for breakfast. Good quick service and casual. Eggs, sandwiches and french toast are good! They also have a drive -thru as well.

Lots of parking and lots of seating inside. Service is extremely fast and location is very convenient for those off the freeway. The food itself were OK, breakfast burrito and fried zucchinis were good, but that's a lot of flavor. Just "bland" and nothing too memorable.

I was craving a grilled cheese & some twister fries. Yes I can make a grilled cheese at home but something about a grilled cheese from here just hits the spot. It's simple, it's delicious and the staff is friendly. They have a very large menu. There is something for everyone. This is a place where you order at the counter and they bring you your meal to the table. There is plenty of seating. They also have a soda fountain with Pepsi products. The twisty fries from here are a must!!! one order is enough to share with two people.

Steak made medium and eggs not burnt or overly oily hash browns crispy shout out to Sergio awesome cook !!

I need to give Sergio five star cook he did such an amazing job on my breakfast today. He definitely made my day. It might not mean much to someone to say hey you did a great job on my eggs or my steak but nowadays when things are so expensive and you purchase a meal you hope and cross your fingers they added that TLC so that you're not throwing your money away! Honestly, one of my pet peeves is cooks that cannot make eggs like if you don't know how to cook an egg. Good luck on your meal. I came in this morning. Everybody greeted me with a smile, cooks looked like they were in a great mood. I'm very understanding when people have their days you can't always be on, but it was nice and pleasant today. Again, shout out to the cook Sergio you're the best!!!

Side of fries, side of onion rings. Onion rings- super crispy.

Vegetarian review: - veggie burger was good, but not really because of the patty. They're using the rice and veggie one as opposed to Beyond or Impossible, but some people enjoy it, maybe? - fries: the only thing I might ask for is crispy, but they were good. - onion rings: great and plentiful. Super crunchy. - ranch dressing: thick and probably one of the best around.

Very friendly staff, food comes quickly, is always fresh and got. Wife had chicken sandwich & fries, good sized meal, very tasty. Also had the chicken strips with fried mushrooms. Mushrooms are very tasty. Price was very reasonable, portion sizes are very generous. Restaurant is very clean and comfortable, large menu selection. Highly recommend.

You can't go wrong at Paul's Place. Customer service is always kind and quickly moving and their extensive menu offers something for everyone!! We love the burgers, sandwiches, and salads!!! For lunch we may dine in at their cozy little patio or dining room but for dinner we usually grab it to go. Thank you Paul's Place.

I love Paul's place! Zucchini fries are amazing so is the Gyro! However you get placed on hold for way too long. 12 min and no one ever picked up. I got there and they weren't even busy. Cypress on Cerritos is much more efficient

This place was suggested by one of those Instagram food influencers.... Yikes... I know not to take their suggestions anymore. The food was freshly cooked but saturated in oil. It soaked through the box and bag. The zucchini fried were full length and evenly battered. They melted some type of cheese on top of them, seemed weird and gave them an odd flavor. Maybe they thought they were taquitos or something. While I didn't go inside, the exterior and menu certainly needed a refresh. I ate in my car and was approached by someone begging for money. The ranch with the fries was the saving grace. Unlike most places they gave you plenty with no extra cost/cost built in. Pretty sure I won't be back here unless they make some improvements. Since I only tried the zucchini fries based on the food influencers suggestion I can't give it a full one not having tried other menu items.

    Chicken, not fish.

How much is ham and cheese omelette?

I stopped looking at prices. If I decide to go out to eat, then I know the price has increased! It should be on their web site?? I'll see if I can find it... I went back and tried to find the cost but the inside menu pic was from 2020, so we know…

How much is the broasted chicken plate?

    11.99

How much are the chili cheese fries?

I think they're around 5 bucks but it's a huge portion!!! More than enough for 2 people

When we left there were quite a few people that have come in after us. There's not a whole lot to the place. It looks like it used to be an old Taco Bell or something. The color scheme is blue and white with cute little signs and pictures on the wall. It's got some booths and tables, and they still have up the social distancing dividers from The pandemic. There's also covered patio seating out front. There our menu screens that span above the entire counter with everything from Mexican food to breakfasts to burgers. They have a soda machine and also a machine with some aguas frescas. There is something here for everybody! We ordered a Fat Boy Burger, a quarter pound burger meal with fries, and a ground beef taco. I love ground beef tacos so I'll always order one if there's one on the menu just to try it. The burgers were good - - topped with cheese, lettuce, onion, and thousand Island dressing. The ground beef taco tasted very much like a Del Taco taco. The fries are those chunkier fries. All in all, the food was good. Someone came in after us and ordered the fried chicken meal and it looked so good, and another person ordered a breakfast that also looked pretty good. It's a cute place and I do like to support local small business. I may be back here.

From the jump, my friends and I felt so welcome, all thanks to our man Jake, who so attentively took our order. This man was such a vibe and provided top-tier customer service in spite of being short staffed. He always had a smile on this face and handled everything so well, especially the 11pm rush that came shortly after we ordered. I can write so much more about him, but he honestly set the stage for what I think of the best dining establishments I've ever been to. Shoutout Jake! The food? No notes. It was tasty, scrumptious, divine, exquisite, all of the above. That food was made with love and care -- shoutout to the kitchen staff! I got the crispy chicken sandwich and woah, what a revelation! Eggplant on the sandwich? Such a game changer, like some next level stuff here honestly. My friend got a burger and oh my god, I only had one bite, but it was honest to god one of the best burgers I've ever had in my life. My other friends got chicken tenders. Tender doesn't just describe the chicken but also the souls who prepared and served this amazing platter. They honestly put every other chicken tender I've had to shame, I'm afraid I won't ever have another chicken tender without comparing it to YoYos. Sides were scrumptious and the sauces that came with them were so good too. I don't know how they did it, but the soft drinks had something special too. Nothing disappointed, I'm telling you! I wish I took more photos of the food but it was just so good that I didn't have time for that. I had such an emotional experience eating here, and I wasn't under the influence or anything -- it was just that good! I could preach to the choir and write a whole song (maybe album) about how amazing my experience was here. It was so magical, I nearly cried thinking about how lucky I was to eat here and break bread with friends. I live in west LA and I would honestly drive however long it takes, even in traffic, just to eat here again. It was simply that good. It's one of those places that you just can't gatekeep because I honestly think a visit here would heal so many traumas and bad days. This was the perfect end to a day with friends, and I will be coming back sometime soon. You will not regret coming here, I guarantee it! If you do, I just think you're lying for clout because I firmly believe this place could not disappoint anyone! P.S. just in case I didn't highlight Jake enough, I need everyone to know that he is the man! The experience would be nothing if it weren't for him. P.S. again: if I were on death row or another situation with a "last meal" type of arrangement, YoYos would need to be a part of that final meal so that I could die so happy and enlightened

I have moved this up to 3 stars solely because the response to my feed back was well received and that alone speaks highly of making an attempt to help their restaurant to be better. Unsafe Conditions, Dismissive Management & Unnecessary Security Call…read more I was dining at Thirty Acres Kitchen inside the Knott's Hotel when water started dripping directly from the ceiling onto me. There was also standing water on the floor with no wet floor signs, barriers, or any warnings whatsoever. This was a clear slip-and-fall hazard in a busy restaurant. I calmly brought it to the attention of the manager on duty, Julie, and pointed out how dangerous it was--especially for guests using wheelchairs or with mobility needs, this was particularly concerning. Instead of addressing the problem, she dismissed it as "not a big deal," refused to complete any incident report, gave me a negative attitude with a mean facial expression, and then called security on me as if I was the problem. When the young security guard arrived, he asked for my ID. I politely refused and explained the situation calmly--he looked surprised but not defensive. I have photos documenting the ceiling leak, standing water, and lack of signage. This experience was disappointing and unsafe, especially from a hotel restaurant attached to a family theme park. Management should prioritize fixing hazards and training staff to handle legitimate guest concerns professionally rather than escalating them. I hope Knott's / Six Flags investigates and improves. It was a quiet Sunday around 3 PM, and we were the only patrons in sight. Checking Yelp beforehand had been a bit of a letdown, as their menu featured items they no longer offer. No links were available either. We ordered half a pound of pulled pork, half a pound of brisket, and four pieces of cornbread--all priced reasonably. Their tap selection turned out to be decent. The Cali Squeeze Blood Orange was a standout, and they also seemed to carry Firestone Walker products, including 805. The staff were friendly and responsive, which was refreshing. While the brisket had cooled by the time we got home, it was still tender and flavorful--just like the pulled pork. The real surprise? The chimichurri that accompanied the brisket--an unexpected and delightful touch. Overall, I'd rate the experience as average. While it's clear they've got potential, a bit more effort could turn Wholly Smokes into a go-to spot. Leaning in on those small details would really elevate the experience.
