Even though I have shopped at this Ace location many times and got good service today they just lost a customer. They had a sign on the door stating everyone must wear a mask so I figured that plus the city mandate would make this a reasonably safe shopping experience. But nooooooooo! Two employees were not wearing a mask. Seriously?! How hard is this concept? By the time I got to the cashier with my items and she was not wearing a mask I just sat my stuff down and walked out. I will not return even after there is no need to wear masks. 1) you can spread the virus with your exhales. You may not have symptoms but you can have the virus. Masks protect others from your funky self. 2) The exhaled droplets can float around in the air for up to 3 hours. 3) So wear a frakin' mask! read more

ACE, the helpful place! They may have decided on that slogan based on this store. The employees are always friendly and willing to help answer the questions I didn't even know I needed to ask. Ace is more expensive than the big box stores, but it seems as though the employees are aware of that and often try to help me out by not pointing out the most expensive item on the shelf or by telling me good times to look for sales! I brought in a breaker and they gave me the wrong size that would not fit into my breaker box. When I went to return it, they said that they could not take it back because breakers are unreturnable. I told them that I handed them the existing old breaker and they gave me the wrong size that would not fit in my breaker box. This is not the first time that I have had issues with a valid return here. They really need to learn something about customer service. read more

When I need something for a minor repair or propane for my grill I head here since it's just a stone's throw from where I live. They always have what you need. You can always expect good customer service and to find someone knowledgeable to help you. Their prices are a little higher than the big box stores but, for a home repair dummy like me, that's a small price to pay for not having to hunt for someone to help you and getting the answers you need. read more

I like keeping my dollars local. I've somewhat pleased with overall service at this location. They have fixed my screens and I can usually find something I'm looking for there. Sometimes I do end up at the dreaded Home Depot. I not had good experience with the paint department at this particular Ace in the past. This past weekend I tried again and got an excellent color match and I do think the finish matched well. The drawback was the lid wasn't attached to the can completely when I left the store. I put the can in the back of my vehicle and it toppled over and there was paint all over the back-end of my car. Luckily it was water-based and the person who didn't put the lid on properly cleaned my car completely. I was late for an appointment due to the clean-up. Next time the paint won't come from Ace. I really wish I could get the same answer regarding the same product from someone in this store... one week I get it will be here next week and then that week comes and another person says they have been out a month and the supplier is out too... then come back and told they are on order and in on Tuesday... Tuesday rolls around and no call but another it will be in the next order. I can't run a business using a vendor that can't give real answers. read more

Depends on who you get here. I had a great guy help me in plumbing today. Super nice and I was in and out really quick. I always go to Ace if I need someone that knows what they're talking about. I love this Ace! My boyfriend and I moved into the neighborhood 4 months ago into our first house. I have been there about four times. Every visit has been a pleasure! I can always find someone quickly who is happy to help. The first time I went looking for a hose that was on sale. It was out of stock, but a nice gentleman was able to tell me more would be delivered in 2 days. He took my name and number down and said he would call me as soon as they got it off the truck. He did just that! I also have gone in with random screws, nails, and shelf brackets... Someone can always look at it and get it for me quickly! I shop the ads here and get pretty good coupons with the rewards program. Also, I called them today asking if they had a specific size of a/c filter that we could not find at any of the bigger stores. Larry told me they had it in stock, and mentioned it wasn't the best filter. I appreciate his honesty! The filter will do until we get an online order for an allergen filter we had to get online.
