So I've come here twice now for breakfast. Once by myself and once with my friend and his family. Each time has been worth it. I'm all about my breakfast and this place knows how to make a smile breakfast feel like you are at home as mom is making you French toast and eggs and your Saturday morning cartoons are about to come on. I've never been more happy to have a simple breakfast each time I've come here. I will say I also love the atmosphere and the staff here. Both have been nothing but welcoming. It had been a while since my last visit so when I walked in, I was instantly impressed by the beautiful remodel and simply put, it's gorgeous. Business was busy, but running like a well oiled machine with everyone working with one thing in mind and that was to make sure the customers were being taken care of. We were seated promptly and I was still impressed by the elegant ambiance as I sat there taking it all in. The menu offered many choices to decide between but the soup and half sandwich caught my eye. I opted for the bowl of Chicken Dumpling Stew with a half Turkey Rueben Sandwich. The wait between ordering and food arrival was quicker than I expected and the stew was very good comfort food on a cold day. It was served in a unique square bowl, thick with large carrot chunks rather than the tiny square pieces of carrot you'd find in 'other' restaurant soups/stews. The consistency was perfect and filling and it hit the spot. The Turkey Rueben was served with a pickle and the sandwich was larger than I expected and was very good as well, but a little bit more turkey and Russian dressing would have made this sandwich go from very good to excellent. All in all it was a delicious sandwich. Our waitress, Fran was friendly and attentive and made our visit a positive one as she came around often, refilled drinks and made multiple visits to our table to make sure everything was okay. For this lunchtime visit, they had lots of help tending to the hungry diners and it was all business as smiling and attentive workers were buzzing back and forth making sure all of their patrons were satisfied and happy with everything from beginning to end. I feel like the outside of this place could really use a facelift, because it really doesn't match the inside. This is a beautiful family style restaurant. It did take us a while after the host sat us for a server to greet us. There was also some water on the floor that another customer had pointed out to our server. She said thank you, but then didn't do anything about it. I saw a busser walk past it, roll his eyes about the water, and keep moving. A little while later, the youngest person working there almost slipped on the water, put out a caution sign, and cleaned it up himself. Service was fine... she never asked how we liked our food. We did like the food though! My husband ordered the meat lovers skillet and added sausage gravy. The portion was huge, and he really liked it! I ordered a croissant sandwich with a fried egg and bacon. The croissant was a bit over cooked for my liking, as well as the fried egg being cooked all the way through (personal preference). The sandwich was good and I liked it, but it was missing something. To me it seemed a bit dry. I think if the egg was cooked less it would have been better. If I ever get this again, I would just order the egg over easy or medium. We'll probably go back eventually... read more

Ordered a cup of Chicken Dumpling soup. I have never been served soup in such a TINY cup! It was actually 1/2 a cup. NO chicken, NO dumplings, just a broth. I asked the waitress why there wasn't any and she told me, "It's the bottom of the pot." WOW! Really? THEN, we were given a good size side salad and were served a tiny container of dressing. I asked for another. It wasn't enough for a lettuce leaf. I was shocked when I saw I was charged $1.00 for another tiny dressing! Most places give you a larger one and offer more at NO charge! This place has really gone downhill fast! My baked potato was cooked in the microwave and served at room temperature, not even warm! Save your money and go somewhere else! read more

It was very easy to order a vegan vegetable hash for breakfast, which was their vegetarian skillet without cheese, butter, and eggs. It was a little under seasoned, but was perfect with hot sauce. All of the omnivores in my party had fantastic meals, too. The service was extremely prompt with coffee refills and checking to make sure everyone was ok. My husband and I have gone to Paulee's two times and are doing a take-out tonight. We are impressed and it is already a favorite restaurant. The interior is attractive with modern room colors and furniture. At night it has calming colored lighting that adds a "high-end" feeling to the restaurant. It is very clean and the servers are friendly and professional when taking your order. They patiently explain the meal selection when asked and they are attentive to any changes needed to accommodate allergy issues or adjustments to the meal selection. The food is delicious with many items to choose from, and all are served attractively arranged on the plate. So far, we have thoroughly enjoyed each tasty meal we ordered. Also, the servers return at different times to see if there is anything needed such as more water. I am deaf and lipread, or use a voice to text app, which slows the ordering process. They interact with me with kindness and respect and that is awesome Without hesitation, Paulee's deserves 5 stars, with its delicious food, attractive exterior and interior, and professional and friendly staff. read more

I have been going here for years and years. Previously, it was really good and I would highly recommend. NOT anymore. The quality of the food has deteriorated drastically AND the prices have increased. I understand that as the price of goods go up, the restraunteur must pass that along to the customer. However, the quality should not decrease...For example, I ordered a reuben. There were about two pieces of corned beef on the sandwich. To add insult, the corned beef tasted like rubber. Moving on to the corned beef hash. Very nasty. Barely any corned beef in the dish. Can't recommend anymore. read more

Upon walking in, I was first ignored for the person behind me. Once sat, it was all good until we got our food. Then we were given bad toast, bread was either stale or moldy batch but definitely expired. The menu has so many awesome sounding options that it's really hard to decide. Plus they had a sheet of extra breakfast items that were special for the day. I was boring and I got my typical egg white omelette with rye toast. But my friend got a little adventurous and got the savory garden crepe and he said it was absolutely delicious! The waiter was excellent and right on top of things. They kept my water filled and asked if I needed a box when it was time for to go. My sister and I met at Paulee's for lunch today... It was a busy day, but my sister made it there first, so I'm not sure how long she had to wait for a seat; by the time I arrived, it was PACKED. We ordered our food and it came out pretty quickly, however since we both ordered salads, that was to be expected. The salads were good, but nothing I can't get elsewhere. What wasn't expected was having to wait in a l-o-n-g line to pay. How annoying. The line was 10 people deep and we had to wrap up our lunch waiting in line and being jostled around by waitresses cutting through us and by people who were waiting for seats and waiting for carry out. My sister commented -TO ME - about spending our lunch hour waiting in line and the waitress that was pushing through us overheard her and made some snide comment about it being really busy today - as if we couldn't see that. Yes, it was busy...extremely busy...which is why the waitresses should alleviate some of the congestion in the front and take up the bill for their customers, rather than making them pile up in the entry way and around the seated customers that have the unfortunate luck to be seated by the cash register. Furthermore, how about the people who are seated and have these lines around their tables - who wants to eat with a strangers ass in their face?? At the counter, my sister was trying to help and asked if it would be faster for the woman to ring the bill up with the tip amount included and the snotty response was "Not really, but I can write it in if you want me to." It wasn't about her wanting the waitress to do it for her. She was trying to help things move faster to help get the ridiculous line moving so we could get the heck out of there. Was hoping to find a bomb breakfast place close to home. This place was 100% not that. Rude and dismissive staff right as you walk in the door. Ordered a breakfast skillet with no meat, came loaded with bacon pieces. Waitress said it wasn't her fault and it was just from the grill. Coffee was stale and Luke warm. When we moved in the area 3 years ago we went every Sunday after church... loved that the breakfast was consistently delicious... the dinner service, while the food was good the service not so much.. Unfortunately it seems that as they became more established and improved the decor things have changed... EVERYTHING is an up charge... I wanted fries rather than mashed potatoes, up charge, gravy up charge... we used to get carry outs once a week, the last few looked like they were thrown in the box or dropped.... not to mention when asked for an extra ranch an up charge along with an aggravated look.... I fully understand, I have been in the business for many years and my suggestion is don't up charge yourself out of business... and by the way a 7.00 kids meal is rather ridiculous...
