New restaurant in an old spot. Open 7-3 daily. Food was fresh, tasty and reasonably priced. Service was great. Good menu for breakfast, brunch and deli sandwiches. I will return.

Took my mom out to breakfast at S&J's Cafe. The staff were very friendly and service was wonderful. The restaurant is very clean. We tried a few different items, My mom had Monte Cristo with house made hash browns. I had their pancakes and the 2 eggs, bacon and hash browns. Everything was delicious. Will definitely be back.

The food is amazing. We have been back four or five time now and keep telling everybody they have to try it! One of our favorites is the John's rap. It has all the breakfast meats and eggs wrapped up with sausage gravy on top. Everything here taste so incredibly fresh and the service is so friendly! It is managed by one of the nicest families you could ever meet. The name comes from the owners Simon and John and the wait-staff is also family. Their mom Lisa and their sister Maria are so incredibly helpful and kind.

The service was horrible and the food was tasteless. We took one bite of our food and left it on the table.

Everything is pink and gold and there is a full length mural of Audrey Hepburn, from Breakfast at Tiffany's A huge shout out to the manager (I'm so sorry I forgot her name)! She was absolutely amazing! They were a bit short staffed the day we went. She was the hostess, the bartender our waitress, and was helping out with the cooking. Even with all that on her plate, she was super nice and treated us like we were the only people in the place. The food was fantastic, the coffee was fresh and the atmosphere was amazing. Would not give me a sample of wine when all of the wines were labeled Rose House California. Wt??. When our egg white omelettes called (Ghost) were undercooked and maybe cooked on a griddle contaminated with other foods (we could taste fishy particles), they only would give us 50% off on one. I actually scraped the filling out of mine, set the egg aside and was charged full price. The manager, Bella was young and inexperienced to handle a situation of this sort. She must be going by a script. Maddie, our waitress was only doing what she was told. She was very delightful.. We will not, capital N-O-T be returning. What is shame. The place actually has a nice ambience. they would not give us a refund on our omelettes.

I had seen the Royal Park Hotel before but never been in - the lobby is gorgeous as well, and a front desk staffer directed me to the conservatory, which is directly behind it. I've also heard they have a nice restaurant on site, so I'm hoping to come back and experience that, at some point. All of the catered food at the conservatory was tasty, as well - we had appetizers, salad, and I had an herb chicken dish, I believe. Waitstaff was very courteous and when I went up to the bar to get a Diet Coke, they asked how everything was tasting, etc., even though I wasn't the hostess of the party; nice customer service. My engaged friend said that they originally looked at Royal Park as a wedding venue, but unfortunately the conservatory wasn't large enough for their number of guests - I'm glad they had their engagement dinner there, so I got to experience it. There were about 30 guests there last night but the space looked like it could fit more, I would guess 40-50 total, easily, and possibly even more. Based on this experience, I'd love to come back to the hotel either to dine or to stay overnight.

We recently stopped by The Shine Cafe and had an overall good experience with a few areas that…read morecould use improvement. I ordered the "Double Trouble" -- French toast loaded with cookie dough, Oreos, Nutella, and chocolate sauce. Let me just say... that dish is a train straight to diabetes. In all seriousness, it was absolutely delicious and indulgent, but definitely on the overly sweet side. If you have a serious sweet tooth, this one's for you. My wife went with the Classic Eggs Benedict, and that was excellent -- well-balanced flavors and cooked just right. The breakfast potatoes, however, were a bit bland. They were cooked well texture-wise but could definitely use more seasoning. Service was so-so, though it seemed like they were pretty busy, which likely played a role. The location is great -- conveniently about a mile from Woodside Church, one of the largest churches in Michigan -- so I can imagine it gets especially packed on weekends. One important note: restroom maintenance needs attention. With only a single restroom per gender, cleanliness is critical. My wife noticed the toilet seat wasn't clean, which is something that should be addressed promptly, especially in a high-traffic establishment. Overall, the food quality was strong, particularly the main dishes, and we'd likely return -- but there are definitely a few operational details that could elevate the experience.

Inside has lots of booth seating and a full bar which was unexpected. Single stall bathrooms but the hand blower is really up high which seemed out of place. Big menu with both breakfast and lunch options. Also tons of boozey drink options, which feels a little out of place at a breakfast/lunch place? Tried the Benedict and French toast. Both were good and tasty. The side of potatoes has good flavoring. Bacon is just right with the cook. The portions was very generous too.

As soon as we were seated, are drink orders were taken immediately. I love omelettes or sweet stuff for b-fast. They get them both right! First time, I got the Spinach, avocado and Swiss omelette, and my driver got the Fruit explosion crepes. We shared, of course. I'm not a potato person, so I always substitute tomatoes for potatoes, when they let me. Their tomatoes were good quality, sweet-ish, not mealy, or too snotty. The crepes were gorgeous to look at and a pleasure to eat! Second time, I got the Elvis french toast which did not disappoint! Warning, they're rich, you may need a glass of milk to wash them down. My driver got the Florentine Benedict and he loved them. They know how to do brunch!!!! I'll definitely be back.
