Food is alright. Service is very good. Ambiance is alright. A small diner. Fairly small parking lot too. The typical Michigan diner menu ftmp. A good number of items, very good prices, senior menu options as well as children's menu options. On this visit both of us opted for the 2 egg breakfast that's served with corned beef hash and toast of our choice. We both went with the raisin toast. It was good overall. Nothing Wowed me really. Wait, let me back up. Service here was very good. Sweet, fun servers, prompt answering questions, bringing drink refills, sample of the soup -yep, she did that. We ordered breakfast, the same thing for that matter. Our entrees arrived shortly after we ordered and they looked good. I was a it saddened to see my corned beef hash a wee bit browner that I would prefer but that's my fault for not specifying how I like it cooked. One thing I especially like is the raisin bread toast option. This seems to be a thing in Michigan, and I LOVE IT! We paid cash and asked for change for a large bill and server was able to accommodate that request easily. So overall we had a good experience here. I will say this is a small diner and the parking lot is similar. Customers appear to be regulars, or else the staff just treats everyone like they know them. They certainly do a good job of welcoming their customers. read more

Can't say enough good things about the Pitstop. You will always feel welcome every single time you come in. The food comes out quicker than anywhere I've ever ate and the food is always piping hot. Great specials daily. read more

Was served broken egg yokes. Then had to debate with the waitress about sending it back bc the cook was "busy". Serving an egg without breaking it is something a six year old can do. read more

What do you do when you need to go grocery shopping and want something quick... Pit Stop for the win! Haven't been in awhile and was happy to see the fish options for Friday. Cod with Mac&Cheese for the hubby and perch Reuben for me. The fish was delicious! The macaroni was a little soft for my liking, I prefer al dente, but the flavor was good, as was the tartar and thousand island. Quite a bit of food without breaking the bank! Of course, all the employees are super pleasant too! read more

UPDATES Review: Nothing's really changed since last review. Best little diner in town. The nicest owners ever. Great waitresses. Always a first choice. PROS: Love the meatloaf, mashed potatoes, gravy, and corn. Fish and seafood dinners on Fridays are the best. Great vibe in the place. CONS: Very limited and tight seating. Parking lot is horrible. Big trucks eat up the limited spaces. Upcharge for using credit cards. SUMMARY: 1,000 more square feet of physical space and this would be the greatest diner on Earth. read more

What a great place to take our family! We went here by chance today and I am so glad we did! Our whole family felt welcomed the second we opened the door! The staff were great! We ordered so much food for our family of 6 and still under $100. The food was amazing! Can't wait to come back!! read more

What a delightful diner! From the moment we walked in the staff made us feel welcome and appreciated. They seemed to know every other person who came in, greeting them with heartfelt warmth. Prices were surprisingly reasonable and portions for several dishes are large enough to share or leave you with leftovers for lunch the next day. My Greek skillet was excellent--prepared exactly as I ordered it and with enough of each ingredient that every bite was delicious. Their rye toast has seeds and is fabulous too, bursting with rye flavor. Tables and chairs were clean, as was the bathroom. I'd come here just for the friendly service, but the fact that they also have great food and reasonable prices puts this at the top of my list for places to eat when we're out this way for horse shows. Definitely give Anchor Bay a try! read more

The food was good and competitively priced. One of the best things about this reasturant is the wait staff. Our waitress was prompt, considerate and very pleasant. If every reasturant had someone like the waitress we had, and I believe her name is Kim, they would benefit as much as the customers! read more

I hate to leave a one star review for a diner, family owned one at that but I have to share my experience. I was already having a bad day, I called pickup on an order for carry out at the pit stop diner. It was my first time there and heard many good things. I ordered a wrap with chicken, bacon and ranch in it after seeing it on their online menu. When I tried to place an order, whoever answered the phone acted like I was dumb. Saying "no we don't have that" and "what? That's not on our menu". Yes, it is. It's on your Facebook menu page from 2026, this year. She said it with an attitude too. I was thinking of just getting a wrap, adding chicken and bacon to that but my day got worse from this experience so I just went home. I have heard such great things! Maybe this was a one time thing but it does put a bad taste. read more

Every time I've gone here it's busy but the service is fast! All the items I've tried are delicious! The restaurant is very clean! I love the bacon cheddar fries! The burgers are good and not dry. The breakfast oatmeal has a ton of toppings with it and although I don't normally go for oatmeal, theirs is so good! I love the chicken cordon bleu sandwhich! It's a must-try! read more

Pit Stop is an awesome little diner with a huge heart! The service is always so friendly, and their drive thru is extremely efficient! I tried the Tuesday burger special and I honestly say it's one of my top 3 burgers. It was a huge patty, cooked to order (pink center for me, which they nailed!), and was very flavorful! The fries that came with it was a big portion and were delicious! The potato skins were yummy and had lots of bacon topping. I have also had their fish dinner on a Friday night, which is definitely a solid go-to if you like fish n' chips. I was extremely impressed with the packaging, the tin foil lining in the container kept the burger from getting soggy. It was a nice touch! Love supporting small local businesses like this! read more

This is a small town diner with small town ambience. The place is clean, service is fast and the food is good and very reasonably priced. We both had a slider which is almost as good as Sidecar Sliders but 1/3 of the price. I also had a cup of chili which was better than most restaurant chili and we had potato skins that were rather tasty. Two things to mention, first my wife told me to mention "all that friendliness" and it is a touch on the loud side-very small and very busy. read more

The staff amazing and the food is excellent. You really can't go wrong with anything you order. I usually get the ham and cheese omelette with spinach and it always hits! Do yourself a favor and give them a try read more

In what looks like a fast food drive thru is an excellent breakfast spot. I've driven by here and not realized what it was. It might not look like a great diner but it is. The food is better than a lot of nearby places that have the diner look. Friendly service, popular with locals, and they do have a drive through. Glad we stopped. read more

Stopped here for lunch during a work trip. Charming little diner, set inside what used to be a fast-food spot, I think. The staff were all very welcoming. It had all the classic vibes of a quaint small-town diner, right down to the elderly gentleman flirting with me. The salad was tasty, though a few pieces of core sneaked in that really shouldn't have been there. I went with a simple salad plus bacon, and the bacon definitely delivered. It came with red onions, which were strong enough to guarantee bad breath for days! read more

I was not having a good day...ran a couple errands; stopped to drop something off to a friend, realized I had taken fasting to a new level and was feeling a tad "off". I asked her to recommend a spot where I could get waited on quickly....so here I am. Walking into the door was like a portal trip to #Back2TheFuture. What a cute little diner! Staff and customers were all smiling and clearly enjoying themselves! People at different tables were even interacting! They actually have a counter with red stools, so of course I had to sit there! Allie was #QuickDrawMcGriddle with the menu and coffee was within reach in minutes (the GET it- see sign). The weather is incredibly hot, but the first thing that I saw on the menu was that they have egg lemon rice soup (Avgolemono); but tabling that for now . The strawberry spinach salad was excellent. A gr8 portion, plenty of chicken and feta. I left the tomato and onion off. I asked for the dressing on the side, and Allie was kind enough to bring me three containers, which was more than enough. The spinach was crisp and fresh. There is a side of pita. I don't "do" gluten, but they have GF substitutes, as well. The coffee was excellent, and they kept my cup full. It was really nice chatting with Amanda, the manager. Super friendly and professional; it was cool to have her show interest in a #EliteYelp event I attended a few days earlier at a nearby bakery. All in all, I needed this! Thank you so much to the #PitCrew! #StayLocal #MomAndPop I'll be back when it cools down for that avgolemono. read more

When you see the wait staff having fun, you know it's going to be a great experience. We ventured in for a quick bite. We ordered our food and in less than ten minutes we were served. The coffee was great, the chocolate chip pancakes and sausage were great. And my supreme skillet was pretty good as well. There's a sign inside that says "where the locals gather". Made sense, as the wait staff seemed to know everyone's name. It's just a nice spot with great food. I'm glad we stopped by and we love our little city with these types of gems nearby. read more

Nah. GFS frozen premade buttermilk biscuits. Sausage gravy from a can? I mean cmon Biscuits. Flour, baking powder, baking soda, butter, milk, salt. Done mix drop and bake. Sausage gravy? Render sausage add a couple stripes of bacon chopped add onion fine diced salt and pepper. Cook. Add flour to fat in pan and make roux, add milk whisk in and bring to simmer. Adjust seasonings and consistency done. I make breakfast at home. I'm not paying for canned premade frozen food. And burgers? I'd drive up the street a block to get some fresh patties at Seeburger's. read more

Great little diner. Diner quality food, but they do a good job. The egg, ham and cheese croissant is delicious, and a great breakfast. I do not recommend the stuffed cabbage. They give you one huge roll, and tastes mostly like artificial/dried onions. read more

An amazing little wonder in a great little city I wanted to update my review from 2 years ago You need to start with the great staff at this restaurant, every time we have went the whole staff are super helpful and very friendly. Tonight the on a SUPER cold snowy night the owner passed out Coffee Cake to everyone that was there! The food is great Diner food, it's a good amount of food for the price. - GF got the Chicken Fried Steak with Mashed Potatoes and corn - I went for the Ruben with Chili Cheese Fries Both were very tasty, I alway would love to see more meat on Rubens I feel every restaurant always lacks on this and unfortunately it's like that at this restaurant. But I didn't think a less star was needed. The inside is always clean with no food on the tables from previous guests. This will always be on our list for a stop in the city for a great little meal with a "Home" feeling with the staff read more

This place is great!! My kids and I love it here. We are new to the area and this place feels like home when you walk in. Everyone knows each other and when you walk in, you are greeted with huge smiles and quick seating. They are so busy all the time. But the food comes out quick every time. I can't say enough about how great the staff is here. They are so pleasant, it is honestly refreshing! Definitely come here for breakfast, lunch or dinner. If your on budget, your money will go far here. 5 stars all day at this lil gem! read more

Great neighborhood diner that seems always busy. I think they also have a drive through We cane here with my partner's mom who lives close by. FOOD. Food was deliciously prepared. Simple basic breakfast but was wonderful. SERVICE. Freaking fantastic. She was attentive without being creepy hovering. And she took our drink order before we even sat down - I liked that. PRICE. Inexpensive for quality food. ATMOSPHERE. Diner. Busy. Friendly. Everyone seems to know one another. I was starving and forgot to take pics of our food Nice hidden gem. read more

Very good food! Our server was awesome and the place is cozy and clean. The menu has a lot to try and our lunch was darn good.
