I just came here for the first time with my mom. It was a drizzly Thursday at noon and I was kind of surprised that the restaurant was pretty empty. Maybe it was the weather, maybe it was something else. I told the server that I needed a few minutes looking over the menu as it was my first time there. She quickly brought out beverages. My mom and I both decided to get the soup and half sandwich combo. It was not clear that the sandwiches were not those listed on the menu - and the server was not rude in explaining it but she was not very clear or friendly in explaining it either. My mom and I both got lemon rice soup - which was incredible! If I came here again, I would get the soup again. I ordered the turkey sandwich - and was asked if I wanted it with or without cheese. I asked for it without. The sandwich had a ton of turkey, more turkey than I would use to make a whole sandwich, let alone a half sandwich. I was surprised that there was no lettuce or mustard or mayo on it - no even was I asked if I wanted any...I was only asked about cheese. I did ask for some mustard though. My mom's half sandwich was tuna. It was equally big so she decided to just eat the tuna and forgo the bread. She made a face and said the tuna tasted strange. I took a bite and promptly spit it out - it was definitely spoiled. That was a huge disappointment and put a damper on my lunch with my mom. Mom and I found ourselves out in the country explore the area. We decided to try this place on a Saturday morning. The place is spacious with plenty of seating at either a booth or a table. There is a really pretty glass door to enter the dining area. Service was pretty good. The food, while pricey, was plentiful and very hardy. The biscuits and gravy were very good. I didn't care for how the coffee tasted. I asked the server what brand coffee they used and she gave me a look like, what a lame question. The young server never did let me know what kind of coffee they serve...i.e., Cadillac, Farmers, Folgers, whatever it was it wasn't too tasty. Whatever. We really enjoyed our breakfast and look forward to returning to try their luncheon and/or dinner fare. read more

Food is descent, however this morning during a family of 8 breakfast outing, we had to slide a table together with another one, the manager had a complete fit over moving the tables together. $200 bill will be the last time we eat at this place. This place makes some of the best corn beef sandwiches around. I love the tuna melts but my favorite choice by far is their Cobb salad. The small is large enough for two people and won't disappoint. Try them out. read more

I haven't found a better place than this for breakfast. Their pancakes are delicious and have a hint of vanilla flavor. I have tried several of their omelettes and they are fantastic. I have had a salad there which was good, but I primarily order breakfast when I go there so I can't comment on the rest of their menu. read more

I have been to this restaurant several times since I live in Romeo. I definitely prefer the breakfast meals over lunch or dinner. The portion sizes are very good and it generally tastes really good. The waitress staff is always very nice and friendly and very accommodating. The only reason I didn't give this restaurant five stars is because the food is average but really nothing outstanding. I do like restaurants that have something significant or outstanding on the menu. This restaurant has been here for several years and has a pretty steady customer base. I keep trying this place because it's one of the closest places to where I live in Bruce Township... why I keep trying? I don't know. Menu options suck. Cooks don't listen. Prices overpriced for food that tastes better at McDonald's. I even let my friends try the place when they visit me -- food was burnt. I could mention all the ways I've hated my food every time -- with the exception of their pizza, which is ACTUALLY good but just overpriced. I'll just mention today. I ordered a simple egg sandwich that comes with tomato, lettuce, and Mayo. I asked to add onion and cheese and my eggs over medium. I got crap scrambled eggs that taste like rubber. All of my onions and tomatoes are on ONE end of the sandwich. And, one half of the sandwich barely has any. How hard is it? How freaking hard?! I have to reopen my sandwich to reorganize everything so I don't eat all of them in one bite on top of my rubber egg. How lovely. read more

My mom, sister and I decided to stop here for a quick meal in the morning. Unfortunately, quick did not even remotely surmise our experience. Our waitress was nice enough, but our service was not. We waited roughly 45 minutes to receive our 3 meals, which were comfortably below average in taste. But for what the food lacked in taste, it grew in price with the moderately above average prices. After reading the other reviews, I wondered if we were talking about the same place! We are new to the area (July 2014) and ventured in one evening. We had no idea what to expect. Our server was delightful. I ordered a sandwich that was piled high with corned beef and pastrami - as good as I have ever tasted in a Jewish deli! My S/O ordered an omelet. Both meals were scrumptious, huge and fed us for a few more days at home. Our drinks were kept full. We found the prices to be more than fair considering the portion size. We have since returned at least twice a week, have ordered a wide variety of dishes, and have yet to find something we don't enjoy. The other reviews are dated more than a few years ago. I'm thinking maybe things have changed, but Times Square is very high on our list of favorites! Well worth a try. read more

If I could give this crap hole negative stars I would. Staff is rude and unprofessional. Their hours SUCK and further more encourage the new post pandemic laziness of workers. Living close by I figured I would give them another shot. Ordered carry out and was told 45 mins. Ok that's a lot but I figured I had an errand to run, perfect timing. It was clearly their ploy to discourage take out because they were taking priority to the people inside the restaurant but none the less I show up 45 mins later and am told my order isn't ready by a rude woman. As I sit there with another carry out customer with no update on food another half hour goes by. I won't be treated like that by a food establishment so I walked out. And I will never be back. And will tell everyone in Romeo about this experience. Call Romeo family restaurant and the friendly always courteous staff there pleasantly told me my carry out would be ready in 15 mins. Clean, welcoming environment. Serving portions are large, and well plated. Kind and responsive wait staff. I had the cheeseburger, which was big, well seasoned, and dressed well. The fries are some of the best I've had, and the onion rings are worth the trip alone. My fiancée had the Reuben, which was also generously meaty, well-prepared, and a good value. As a vegetarian, you wouldn't think there were many options besides salads (which are huge here). The Veggie sandwich is similar to the other deli sandwiches but they use cucumbers instead of meat. Still very good with the coleslaw and 1000 Island. read more

Joined my parents here for dinner. They frequent this place because it's within walking distance from their house. The food is not the greatest. It's one of those family diners that has everything on the menu....so they take no time to perfect anything. I got the California health plate, and the fruit was all canned...just kind of lame.. I've seen fish sticks that look like a mountain of batter with hardly any fish in them...and garlic bread so hard it could take a tooth out. Childrens spaghetti was canned.... I would try one of the other places Romeo has to offer in the village. Their breakfasts aren't bad though...that I will give them....maybe they should close up right after lunch... read more

I have been here twice in the last 2 months. It looks like it was remodeled; booths are nice and large, restaurant looked clean, and the staff has always been great- friendly and attentive. However, the food has been excellent, the main point for my family and me. The chicken pita sandwiches are delicious and fresh. Not greasy, not skimpy. The sliders were quite large- and tasty. The chili is really, really good; as are the pancakes- according to my kids. The bacon was cooked crisp and not fatty- a huge plus. I think this place is a hidden gem and much better than other family restaurants I've been to in the area. read more

Times Square is under new ownership. It's been that was for a year or two. Under the new owners the food is DELICIOUS! Make sure you try the pizza. When it first opened under its original owners, the food was also really good but over time it lost it's quality but now with the new owners it's really good. read more

Everything you order here is HUGE. It's just one of those places. The sandwiches are nice and seem very fresh. I like the Cheese Steak, myself. But I actually think the pizza is more of a star attraction than the enormous deli style sandwiches. They offer up legit New York Style pizza. That is a rarity for this area. We're talking big ol' floppy thin slices that you fold on top of themselves to eat. Keep in mind, this is not like a thin crust from Pizza Hut or a chain like that - where they're more crispy than tender. Now, you're either into that sort of pizza or you're not. If you're in to it, this is one of the only places in North Macomb where you'll be finding it, so give it a go. Word to the wise, though: Whether eating in or taking out, the staff is fine to work with. But, if taking out - consider putting that pizza back into your own oven for a few minutes to finish it off. It's not a big enough deal to freak out over but I've noticed that they can actually under-cook these pies, on occasion. read more

I live right around the corner from Times Square, and have been a few times many years ago but never particularly had the desire to go back besides random take out burgers every once in a while. We decided to try out the corned beef sandwich here, since we'd heard good things.. we've certainly been missing out! The sandwich was stacked high with corned beef on this marvelously tasty bread. It tasted fresh and flavorful, one of the best I've had. We asked for coleslaw instead of sauerkraut on it- which was done as requested. Always love when the kitchen gets the order perfect and goes above and beyond to make it taste great too. We also requested a few sauces since we got some mozerella sticks too, and they gave us everything we asked for. A lot of places forget those things, so it was appreciated! Comfort food heaven. My favorite is their reuben sandwich that is stacked to the ceiling. It's so big that I usually have it for a few meals! My husband always gets the mushroom burger and has zero complaints. The staff is always very helpful and they make us feel welcome. Great price for the portion. I'm not a huge fan of their fish n chips. I wish it was a bit better, but there are SO many other items on their menu to choose from. Go for their sandwiches and you won't be disappointed! So we are a tough crowd when it comes to breakfast. We're totally spoiled - if you want to know why check out my review of Rex's in San Pedro, Cal - so today's breakfast outing was really a let-down. The fruit plate was mainly canned fruit, and even though the local fruits won't come in for another month or two, there's still plenty to be had from other parts of the world. However it was a good variety of fruit and a big portion and had a sliced hard-boiled egg also. The pancakes were good, but we ordered blueberry and they came plain. The waitress told me she'd bring it out "on the side" (apparently it's just a blueberry topping) but then told me they were out of blueberry stuff. I guess nobody told them blueberry pancakes are supposed to have blueberries cooked in them. I ordered a spinach and broccoli omelette and the broccoli was either past its prime or scorched...either way it was bitter and not very appetizing. Also my toast was burned and my hash browns were brown on top but undercooked and a little dry in the middle. They have tons of pastrami on the menu so if you like pastrami this might be your ideal breakfast spot (for a pastrami omelette!) My husband had pastrami hash and said it was good, but it was basically hash browns (instead of the traditional cubed potatoes) with cubed pastrami tossed in and I thought the hash browns were woefully undercooked. My mom was happy enough with her order - she had the spinach omelette and thought the hash browns were fine but needed more butter. The omelettes were 4-eggers which means BIG. The service was fine - our waitress brought us everything we needed, kept us hydrated, and was prompt but was less than enthusiastic. When I need my pastrami fix, their carry out satisfies my craving. Their Al Pacino #3 is absolutely huge! Piled high with a ton of lean pastrami on a chewy double baked thick cut rye, it is enough to share if you get a side item. You get a nice juicy pickle wrapped up with your sandwich. No other menu item is needed if you eat the entire sandwich. Definitely a food coma once you have finished it. Prices are reasonable. Have had other menu items there, but the pastrami sandwich keeps bringing me back! read more
