We stopped to eat here on our way to the Armada fair and the food was great although the service was iffy. The place was just about empty and I'm thinking that's because the Armada Fair was going on so everyone was buying the food inside the fairgrounds, but we wanted to sit down and have a real meal before we went and the food was outstanding. The choices on the menu were very good and it took me a while to decide which I wanted. They actually had what they called a protein power bowl and that's what I got which I was impressed with the ingredients which was just about all my favorite ingredients like avocado, garbanzo beans, cranberries, And really good rice. The protein choices were beef, chicken, or shrimp. I got the shrimp and it was cooked perfect and there were plenty of pieces of shrimp in the protein bowl. My friend got the chicken melt and he said it was absolutely delicious although very messy and he needed quite a few napkins and had to wash his hands good from their "secret sauce" Which he said was very good and came with some delicious french fries. Both of our meals came with choice of soup, salad or coleslaw. I got the salad and it was very good and came with the spring mix. Type of lettuce and a really good balsamic vinaigrette dressing is what I had ordered Overall, I would definitely come here again because of the food choices so I could try something different. I'm sure this is a lovely restaurant with their normal menu but DO NOT ORDER FROM THE MOTHER'S DAY SPECIAL MENU! The meals were bland, served with just plain rice, the teriyaki chicken skewers were like jerky, and I'm pretty sure the salmon was straight up rancid, making my poor mother nauseous. Went in for a pick up order , staff just sitting around no one got up to help . Had to wait several minutes at an empty bar for any service

My wife and I went in to Papa's at about 630Pm on Wednesday and we were seated right away, but no one offered us water. No one came by and asked about taking our orders a waitress was walking by several times and never made eye contact. They looked to be shorthanded. It would've been nice for them to address us and bring us water we were there about 20 minutes and we walked out. And no one stopped us. read more

Had an amazing Mediterranean platter dinner with saganaki appetizer and homemade baklava for dessert. Our server Luke was the best, the saganaki the flame almost touched the ceiling (I was late on the photo). I'm a huge fan of Papas Restaurant- the updated decor and drink menu make this place a favorite destination and we are only 2 miles from here. Nicely redone, but the menu is more expensive than we initially anticipated. Lemonade was weird, but my sandwich was awesome - thick sliced turkey and delicious fresh ingredients. Not your gas station style cappuccino but authentic espresso ground beans. However, they made the best of it and came out on top with a complete makeover including alcohol on their menu now which makes it more of a hang out place verses just a local breakfast place. I stopped in to try "all you can eat perch" well it was not all you can eat they cut you off at ten pieces. I called waitress out on it and she just shook her head (young gal not her faault) So I asked to see owner or manager I tried to explain that this is not meaning of all you can eat and she just got nastier and nastier. Papa's is one of the best places to get chocolate chip pancakes. There pancakes are the perfect temperature for a kid like me, and they use the best chocolate chips. The servers are always very nice and always ask me if I want crayons and a coloring page. Also they're chocolate milk is very good. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars is because I feel the kids pancakes meal should come with one more piece of bacon. But besides that its a fantastic place to eat in the town of Armada! read more

I'm hoping we just went to Papa's on a bad night. I've always thought Papa's was great and the remodel made it more modern. However, our last visit was not good. Right when we entered I noticed the floor needed to be swept. Our order came in a reasonable amount of time but the sweet potato fries were barely warm and our wraps were just 'okay'. I was disappointed - Papas has always been my favorite because you could consistently count on good food. I hope this was just a bad night. read more
