Dr. Lyons is incredibly sweet and supportive--she always puts us at ease during visits. The vet tech is amazing too; they never forget us and always greet us like old friends. One of the best decisions I made was establishing care early on. It's the peace of mind knowing that when something comes up, we already had a trusted team ready to go. The location and the parking lot has easy access too. There's no 24/7 vet care on the Big Island, which is something I wish we had, but knowing I have a solid daytime team ready to go makes a huge difference.

It is clean and pets well taken care of. Only concern is / was / at that time ( maybe changed now) all the cats are held together in one large room but it has wonderful cat furniture. We struck out at various other pet boarding facilities -- they were booked, had big demands like our dog stay with them for the day before they could stay overnight, which I kind of get -- but it was too hard for us to do. I'm REALLY glad we held out for Pampered Pooch. Kiki warmed up instantly to Eric -- she ALWAYS had growled at strangers, except for the vet herself. Eric kept us posted on how she was doing. We were so grateful to have PP for our following, longer trip. We felt comfortable knowing she was being well cared for. When my husband picked her up, she'd been playing constantly with a couple of other dogs her size. Very pleased and not trusting anyone else with our dog. The grounds are spacious and well cared for, too.

They kept me updated with pictures and status update texts, and were very responsive whenever I had questions. Most importantly, both dogs came home healthy and relaxed -- one has skin allergies, and his skin looked great after the stay. I felt I got excellent value and quality care for the cost, and it gave me real peace of mind knowing they were well cared for.
