We had a hot water heater leak in the garage that went through the walls into our sons bedroom. We filed a claim with our Homeowner's Insurance and they sent Paul Davis as our water restoration. They called within an hour of the claim and had someone out there that day. A few days later Luis came out to write an estimate and send to our Insurance. We had 2 major hurricanes (Debby and Milton) come through during this process. Luckily, our home wasn't affected by them but MANY near us were. Insurance was a little slow on getting the claim approved due to the hurricanes. Once it was approved, Paul Davis was swamped with work due to emergency needs on the islands near us. Once work could resume for non emergency needs Luis and his team (Rey) were out here and ready to begin work. Rey was the contractor on site and he was nothing short of amazing. He was on time (even early),efficient, clean, kind and his work was great. We had a unique situation that we needed a plumber to come out to take off the water heater and reinstall so Rey could get to the damaged area. They replaced drywall, insulation, baseboards, and painted. Everything was done perfectly. I cannot say enough good things about Luis and his team. They are perfectionists and it shows in their work. My motto is always you get what you pay for and they were worth every penny and the wait. HIGHLY recommend Luis and his knowledgeable, skillful crew ( Rey)! A Paul Davis Van came into our gated Community and ran through our entrance gate which was captured on videotape. We sent them an invoice for the broken gate arm and they refused to pay. I would not hire this company for any business needed. read more

They did a ok job. But when I started looking for things I started finding thing missing in my room. Which they weren't suppose to be in that room. What was missing was a very expense high end flash light. My Samsung tablet that I had used. Also my niece bought me Celine dion dad's when she was in Las Vegas. They weren't cheap. This was very upsetting. To me that these people would do this. They should of. Been watched more closely. We were told not to come back to the house at times. When we were in motel.while house was being worked on. I would say these people if u have your house done. Make sure u check around see if things are missing before u pay them. read more

I would go elsewhere, took them over 4 months to finish a 1 month fire restoration project. Even factoring in the 1 month the door took that is still 3 months to do a one month job. As one example there was a part of the job that entailed installing a door , adding some trim, small amount of painting, installing a couple blinds, a light and a couple vents. I was told this would all be done in a day, but the guy that showed up had no idea what he was supposed to do beyond putting the door in. Long story short, it took them nearly 6 weeks to finish a one day job and 5 afternoons, I had to deal with workers that disrupted my day. Jeff as a coordinator was the most disorganized and worse I have seen as being a business owner myself. Half the time workers showed up missing what they needed and/or not knowing what needed to be done. Many times, I had no idea what day and when they were coming. The communication was terrible, the work was shoddy, and overall it was a horrible experience. I had another restoration company come for a mold issue and they (Ally) could not BELIEVE how bad the work was. He mentioned they have had to rectify several botched Paul Davis projects! read more

Almost the biggest nightmare of my life! Started off ok, recommended by our insurance company Frontline, which I can't say very much good about either. Alot of miscommunication with estimates and the insurance company, Frontline. Many hidden costs that we had to pay for. Our deductible was taken twice through miscommunication. Greed seems to be the motivating force. Inspections were not done properly, until I called the county. The supervisor, Myles, called my "sweetheart" and asked not to bother him after 5:00pm. We were told it would take 1 month, it took 3 months. They threatened to put a lien on our property for $2500 (another deductible) Run, don't walk. Don't even consider. read more

We used this company for several reasons -they were recommended by our Insurance company and out of the many contractors that came out to the house they actually got back to us with numbers and drawings. The General Contractor Steve was awesome he gets 5 stars on communication we constantly texted and he was out the house to check on the project consistently. Rick the project guy also gets 5 stars on communication he answered questions and also had us take a look to see if he liked the direction things were going. The franchise in Fort Myers was a nightmare- delay after delay. Always had an excuse, workers were lazy and the supervisor was not knowledgeable. We had problems after they completed the repairs and they don't stand behind their work. We finally hired another company to come in behind them after correct their mistakes. continuation of this horrendous company...my electricity was not working properly after the job was kinda nearing completion - come to find out they did not have an electrician check what they did, if they had they would have found that there were several issues they created that could have caused a fire and they did not do the work to code. We had to have our own electrician come in...$900 later....oh and at the beginning of the project to their negligence my breakfront and dining table were scratched up...that was 4 mos ago....today they finally had the furniture refinisher come and get them and we were told 2-3 months!!!! Why aren't there more reviews of this wonderful company? I had a mold problem caused by a roof leak. I had another company (which shall go nameless) come in to correct the resulting mold issue. Many months later I still smelled mold. Having the luck to find Paul Davis Restoration in Sarasota has made me feel that, at long, last, the problem is now solved!! I can't say enough good things about the people working for this company. They are top notch in every way!! I am one who rarely writes reviews. I just don't have time. I have never been so upset with the level of service I have received from a company before in my life. I have never seen technicians do such a sloppy job, not clean up behind themselves, quote you one price then do the job and expect for the customer to pay another. I will never call this company again to do any type of work in my home again. The damage from the fire was extremely bad but the smell afterwards was undescribable. The company did not get rid of the odor that was left behind and the house was not picked up before they left. I am extremely dissatified with this company and will never call them again. read more
