Our friends visiting from Las Vegas wanted to do one last fun get together for his birthday and…read moredecided to take our friend group to try out Sure Lock Escapes! We went to their demo from the Kent Nerd Block party and we've been hooked every since! The best part about this escape room spot is that they are dressed and act in character which I think one of the coolest things as not a lot of escape rooms do this. The inside of the location is absolutely gorgeous and truly whisks you away into a medieval fantasy world. I learned that all the escape rooms are story driven and there is an order of how you should do the escape rooms, which also very unique and gives you more reason to try them all! The bathrooms here were also themed with dragons, fun pictures, and knights while looking pristine. Our gamemaster (GM), Ben was an absolute delight. He was making fantastic jokes that we all enjoyed, caught our references, and enjoyed some of the wild things we have said while trying to figure out the puzzles. We definitely agreed that he added to the fun. And it turns out you can request for a specific GM if you want to, which again is very cool! We got to do a quick sneak previews of the room and we were offered a 15% discount if we wanted to do another escape room after, which is super awesome as we would have been down if we didn't have work early in the morning. But I do think that is such a fun and fair idea to get people to do another escape room but at a discount. We loved how detailed each of the different escape rooms were, you can tell a lot of love and attention went into make these rooms. I know my friends talked about how they enjoyed that the puzzles here didn't solely rely on lock combinations, which can just tiresome at times. The puzzles here get really creative! We did their Dungeon of Doom as it is the recommended one to start with first and we were able to beat it with a few minutes to spare! This was my friends' first time completing through an escape room and it was just so great to see how happy and accomplished they looked after completing it. Ben got a photo of us at the end and he took an extra photo for my friend's photo and they came out great! We look forward to tackling more of their other escape rooms and I know more friends who would really enjoy this experience as well. I also know their other locations have different escape rooms with their own lore too, so definitely check them out!

I was looking specifically for a Christmas themed escape room around the holidays. Sure Lock…read moreEscapes had one but only at their Kent location. I purchased the Christmas-themed escape room for Two Person Tuesdays to take advantage of the reduced rate when it's usually more per person (since the pricing is a sliding scale depending on number of players - more players = lower cost for each player) We arrived early to give ourselves time to find 2-hour free street parking. It was pretty busy considering it was the week in between Christmas and New Years. I didn't think the main lobby would be themed out but it was! Very medieval, fantasy, magical feel. It was WAY too dark though to properly see though - could use some more overall lighting. It was easy to check in for our booked time. Our game master, Kenzie was excellent! Kenzie was in character the entire time, giving us the escape room backstory and overview for how things would work in the game space. Once ready to begin, we were guided to the start of our adventure. The rooms themselves were all-out Christmas! The design and creativity of the space was outstanding. There were sound effects throughout our time and even animatronics. Our game master gave us the right amount of direction when needed (and of course, still in character!). This escape room stands out from others we've done in the past. Most places just lock you in the room and you're completely on your own unless you go press a button for help. This was very interactive - especially the Yeti coming to visit! The puzzles were unique and fit the story so well. Every element had to be (I think?) designed and made by hand - I was so impressed by everything. We were able to solve the escape room in time, and there was a little light show with "snow' afterward. We received selfies of us with the Yeti and post-game. The little bags of hot chocolate + treats were a nice touch. Our game master followed up with us afterwards to make sure everything went well. I would definitely do this experience again! Kent is a bit far for us (but I wanted to play through the Christmas one which is a limited time only escape room in Kent). Next time, we'd likely try the West Seattle location, purely for convenience. There are many other cool themes I'd love to try. Thank you!

The younger female employee with brown hair was sarcastic and rude instead of calmly and respectfully explaining the rule. The business is extremely rigid with its rules, yet the rules are not clearly posted or explained. There should be clear signage, and customers should be given the benefit of the doubt in a family-friendly setting. The owner has stated on previous reviews that there is "no polite way" to confront someone breaking the rules, which I strongly disagree with. In a family-friendly business, staff should be trained to address issues clearly, respectfully, and without sarcasm or hostility. Unless you want people to start boycotting your business. Even after paying, the attitude continued from their female staff member who was working in the Pro Shop and then we were not allowed to speak with the owner. Mini golf should be fun and welcoming, but this experience was not.

A year and a half ago, it was time to finally introduce my then 6 year old son to Taekwondo and decided to join The Way Martial Arts Center after a great trial class experience. I have been extremely impressed with everything The Way has to offer, from the great facility to the instructors who are just amazing with the kids! They make classes fun and engaging, while also teaching respect, integrity, discipline and confidence, which has done wonders for my child. They also offer teen and adult classes which motivated me to get back into it! The thing I love most about The Way is the community that Master Nini has built amongst the students and their families. From student summer camps and parents night out events to birthday parties, family classes and dojang fantasy football leagues, this is NOT a common "McDojo"... It's a place to grow physically and mentally, learn how to live with a positive "black belt attitude", and to meet amazing people who want to see you succeed, whatever your goals are! We started June 2025, we go to this location 3 days a week. As soon as you walk up to check in, every single person who has worked the desk has been cordial and friendly to us. I mean it's 730am class and it's so early. But they always say welcome in, with a smile. The juice gal greets me every morning I'm there, then says goodbye with a smile on her face on our way out. Now as far as the Pilates instructors, so far everyone has been wonderful. We've learned a lot. We've had one grumpy instructor in the beginning, but she was gone after a few classes. Not sure what happened to her, but she wasn't a happy camper. I'll spare mentioning her name. But our favorites have been Elizabeth, Kelly, and now Jolene. Our other two fave either had to go back to a regular 9 to 5, which is Cathy, and Josh moved to another center. All have been fantastic including the subs. We joined through our health insurance which was a great deal, and to join reformer Pilates it's an extra 99.00 a month per person unlimited. We were grandfathered in so not sure how much it is now but I'm sure it's still a better price than other Pilates studios out there. So much less in price than Club Pilates for sure, and most of the time you are on a wait list, and can't get the class you want. Only reason I didn't give this location a 5 star is because the pool area. 1. The water gnats I would see were out in abundance on the walls. Means they were coming from the pipes, and something needed to be cleaned. Then the whirlpool looked rusty and needed cleaning. Which they finally did but it took a while to clean up. So we haven't used it for a while now. It's not LA fitness fault but more like the members when in the whirlpool. Sometimes I enter the whirlpool and it smells like really strong perfume/Cologne ugh...so off pudding!!! But I do Have to say that this LA Fitness is much more cleaner than the one by my house where my family found mushrooms growing in the shower ugh! Thank you Covington location for being the best around.

Everything felt well run and thoughtfully managed. One thing that really impressed me as a parent was the staff member monitoring the entrance and exit. He was incredibly attentive. He recognized us, noticed our child, and was clearly keeping track of who was coming and going. Of course, you should always watch your own kids, but having someone that alert adds a huge layer of peace of mind. We used a Groupon, and if you have ever used one, you know it can sometimes be a hassle, but not here. The process was seamless. A staff member radioed ahead for us, and by the time we got to the snack counter, they already knew what to do. No waiting, no confusion. We were set up immediately and on our way. That level of coordination was impressive. Every game we tried was working perfectly, including VR games, which is rare in most arcades. Even smaller details, like all the basketballs being available at the Papa Shot machines, did not go unnoticed. The kids' drop ride was a huge hit with my daughter, and the claw machines, which guarantee a prize, were a fun bonus, especially as a way to end the visit on a high note. The prize center was also well balanced, with reasonable ticket costs and fun options. They had some great games too, like rhythm games and classics, that made it enjoyable for both kids and adults. The real surprise was the food. We ordered pizza expecting typical arcade food, but it exceeded expectations by a mile. It was soft, fresh, and genuinely delicious, easily better than what you would find at places like Chuck E. Cheese. The entire dining area was spotless, which is almost unheard of in venues like this. Tables were clean. Floors were clean. Everything felt cared for. The service continued to impress throughout. Our food came out quickly, and when we finished, the staff handled all the cleanup. We actually went out of our way to find cash just to leave a tip because the service deserved it. We originally came for the full experience, including batting cages, laser tag, go karts, and mini golf, but honestly, even before doing any of that, I can confidently say this place is incredibly well run. Based on everything we experienced, I have no doubt the rest will be just as great. This place gives Dave and Buster vibes but has both and indoor and outdoor component. You can earn tickets to redeem for items and I was quite surprised about how big of a venue was here. It was rainy and we stay indoors so I can't really comment on the outdoor components. Overall, I'd come back but it's not my "go-to" for indoor gaming/food activity.
