When I dined in early afternoon on a weekday it was a rather slow day. There were a couple of Shake Shack employees constantly roaming about the premises ready to attend to any customer request. 1 such employee was thoughtful enough to serve me and a group of other customers some water. I have mixed feelings about the bathroom setup. Yes, it is clean and there were a few toilet rooms available, but it requires a code to be entered prior to using. The door screen shows as vacant but an employee still needs to give out the 4 digit code needed to access the toilets. I also found some issues with the water faucet sensors. It is inconsistently picking up my gestures resulting in an unreliable and unsteady flow of running water when I was washing my hands.

It's a pretty good blend and far better than the cheap kind they had decades ago. This is a good change! I also liked that there was a big sign on the wall promoting the quality of the coffee blend. "McDonald's Canada serves a medium-dark roast coffee under their McCafé brand. This signature blend is crafted from 100% Arabica beans sourced from Rainforest Alliance Certified farms."

This restaurant chain introduced the "Chinese Hamburger" in a crispy bun to Toronto back in 2021-05-23 (soft opening). Very tasty indeed! Plus, they have a wide variety of appetizers. The two owners are from China. The brand was founded in Beijing on 2014-04-08 and now has over 65 locations in Beijing. The Chinese Hamburger is called Rou Jia Mo (肉夹馍) in Chinese, which literally translates to "meat in a bun". It is the cuisine of China's Shaanxi province, which has the capital city of Xi'An (or Xian), where you find the terracotta warriors. For Chinese hamburgers, there are two types of buns: crispy and non-crispy. Most restaurants use the non-crispy buns but Bingz is the only restaurant in the GTA that uses the baked crispy buns. I noticed a few ads for their special burger, the Chili Cheeseburger ("smashed patty topped with all beef chili, American cheese, onion, pickles and jalapeños"), and I was immediately on board. I love smashed patty hamburgers and I really love chili, so it was a no brainer. After placing an order on their self-serve kiosk, I sat down and waited for my food. It took about 10 minutes but it was definitely worth the wait. This is one terrific burger. It's got that irresistible smashed-patty texture, and the chili is definitely above average. I was worried that the whole meat on meat thing would result in a concoction that was too rich, but the onion, pickles, and jalapeño proved a perfect counterbalance.
