    Beef patties

Patties Express is a quick in-and out stand to grab a Jamaican patty and drink for lunch. Service is instant, as there are fresh patties being constantly replenished in the stand. There is no seating inside, but there's a whole food court seating area outside to enjoy your patty. They have a "2 patty with a drink deal" for $5.90 + tax that's actually quite a deal compared to the price of patties in the U.S. The patties are delicious - a crispy crust and plenty of meat inside. This place is worth trying if you are looking to experience tasting a Jamaican patty, especially as I'm told they are becoming more popular in Canada.

We think this spot has one of the best and most affordable beef patties in Toronto. The patties are all made fresh, the filling is generous, flavourful, and piping hot. There's always a line here, full of regulars, and we understand why! Had it not been for the event we were headed to, we would have wanted to bring home a dozen!

Heed the warnings! They are not kidding about the filling of these pies being super hot! I visited twice in 4 days and in both instances I got burned by these fillings! Don't get me wrong, these are great patties and definitely get the spicy anything for an added kick. These are ready in a jiffy especially if you are just getting just one or two. Make sure you grab some extra napkins because it will be messy.

The patties were amazing. The crust/covering was light and flaky. The filling had just the right amount of spiciness as mentioned. Service was quick. Will definitely grab more whenever I am in the Union station

Located right at Eaton Centre 1st level near Kernels, Freshly Squeezed and Shoppers Drug Mart. A super affordable snack, only about a couple of dollars for a single beef pattie. I believe they are the same shop that used to be selling outside Elm street. However, with the new condo build coming up, all the shops along that strip are closed for future construction. This is a better location though with all the traffic inside the mall. Service is quick, and the pattie is delicious. Really no complaints here

Glad to see Patties Express back in the Downtown Core again ever since the Elm St location got closed. As it was my favourite spot to get patties and was sad it closed down. However this new location is a great spot, located nearby the Queen Subway entrance side of Eaton Centre which is super convenient to get to. The quality of patties is still the same as before! I got 1/2 a dozen of patties which was $11.99. Their patties are consistently good and always fresh. I recommend having the regular spicy beef patty or extra spicy beef patty. There might be a lineup however, the lineup goes by pretty quickly. Totally worth the wait!

Just your typical quick mall snack. We ordered a spicy beef patty and it wasn't anything amazing. It's something you could get anywhere but I haven't seen a lot of beef patty shops in malls (at least not in the United States). If you have a random craving for a beef patty, then this will do. Curry chicken sounds pretty good though, so maybe that one is better?

Stopped eating beef and pork; so happy they have a great chicken and veggie. Best patties in town.

Brought patty back to the office and still very hot.

Value, Tasty and Fast! The pastry is flaky and the filling is flavourful. Also piping hot even after 10 mins carrying back to the office. Line moves quick and very convenient. Recommend checking it out if you're around Brookfield place.

I got the chicken and beef spicy decent price quick service patty was flaky golden crust, chicken one had a good curry taste, beef one I got spicy, it was hot melts in your mouth I like the beef better, once in a while it's okay, very fast service hardworking people, and so fresh

Got the 1/2 dozen (6) patties for $11.99. This comes to around $2 per patty. You'll have to pay $2.29 if you are just buying 1 patty. If you buy 12 patties, it comes out to $1.75. I've been here several times and the spiciness of the patty can vary quite a bit depending on the batch, so beware. This location is located in the bottom level of Eaton Center. The service is quick and efficient here. Overall - cheap, tasty, and fulfills any patty cravings.

    All that filling!

Located in Eaton Centre, these patties are so tasty and flavourful! Perfect amount of meat to dough ratio and they definitely have a kick to them. The patties are always hot and fresh, perfect snack when you're strolling around the mall.

Had another spicy patty and it was solid as usual. Lots of filling. Piping hot. Consistent. Great.

The I Heart Butter Tart Concrete ($6.49) that I ordered was a little too much for myself. I did decide to go through and finish the ice cream / sundae just so I don't have anything to go. The interior of the place was properly though out and well designed. Self order stations are available to order from and the ordering interface is one of the better systems I have seen. When I dined in early afternoon on a weekday it was a rather slow day. There were a couple of Shake Shack employees constantly roaming about the premises ready to attend to any customer request. 1 such employee was thoughtful enough to serve me and a group of other customers some water. I have mixed feelings about the bathroom setup. Yes, it is clean and there were a few toilet rooms available, but it requires a code to be entered prior to using. The door screen shows as vacant but an employee still needs to give out the 4 digit code needed to access the toilets. I also found some issues with the water faucet sensors. It is inconsistently picking up my gestures resulting in an unreliable and unsteady flow of running water when I was washing my hands.

I couldn't let the opportunity pass. The dining space? Bright, clean, inviting. Modern but casual. Off to a genuinely good start. And then... things went south. I ordered the peri-peri chicken with two sides. The wait was excruciating. Not just long--confusing. Every single person who ordered after me was eating while I sat there wondering if my ticket got lost in another country. When the chicken finally arrived, I was stunned--and not in a good way. Easily the smallest leg/thigh combo I've ever seen. Yes, I'm used to USA-sized, GMO-filled chickens, but I've eaten plenty overseas. This wasn't "European portioning." This was kiddie-sized. Flavor? Underwhelming. Forgettable. Nothing that made me pause, nothing that lingered. For a place built on peri-peri heat and personality, this was shockingly flat. I can get chicken with more punch at my local Grocery & Go. The mac and cheese had decent texture--the breadcrumbs did their job--but flavor-wise? Completely bland. Zero soul. The fries? Although well seasoned, we're like warm. Overhyped things rarely deliver, and Nando's sadly fits the bill. Massive disappointment is the phrase that keeps coming to mind

The reason they have "express" in their store name is that the food is usually ready within 2 mins. During busy times, you have to wait until they get to your order. There is a little window where they place food that is ready, and a server brings them to your table (if you are dining in). We ordered the following: A1: Spring Roll 4 pcs ($11.99). A2: Shrimp Fresh Roll 4 pcs ($11.99). M1: Assorted Thap Cam Banh Mi ($8.99). P1: Special Beef Noodle Soup/Pho ($17.99). C2: Grilled Chicken and Fried Egg on Broken Rice ($15.99). V1: Grilled Pork & Spring Rolls with Vermicelli ($18.99). D1: Passion-Mango Green Tea ($4.99). D4: Ice Coffee with Condensed Milk ($4.99). D5: Pop x 2 ($1.99 x 2). The customer service is good. They forgot to tell us that extra condiments can be found on a counter near the washroom. There is plenty of indoor tables, most of them are for two people. There is free WiFi.
