My kid is ill and vomits daily, and of course the dang thing died when I had not done laundry for over a week. Plus we need clean clothes for another hospital thing next week. The laundromats in our town are sketchy. That is all I am going to say about that. We hopped on google and yelp and decided to try Waldport. We had a 5 star experience at this laundromat. It was clean, most of the machines were working, it was not too busy, and our clothes got clean and dried. There is no bathroom and there are no vending machines for pop or snacks which might contribute positively to the clean aspect. We brought our own quarters. $3 to wash, $1.50 to dry. One quarter got eaten. Could have been worse, right? We did hear that they are not always open when they are supposed to be. I guess we lucked out. This was my kid's first laundromat experience that he remembers ( I was still married for our last one so that was probably 15 years ago). He loved it and now wants to own a laundromat. Lol.

Well-Read books is not a huge bookstore, but still has a nice selection for the space, and everything is really well organized by genre. There's more to look at than you'd think when first entering the store and I always end up taking more time here than I expect. A lot of books are obviously worn, but still readable (I've never seen them selling anything that was too torn up to read), while some appear to be just like new. Because of this, the price does range, but overall it's still going to be cheaper here than somewhere like a Barnes & Noble. On my most recent visit I bought a Nancy Drew book for $5 (I've been wanting to pick one up again to re-read as an adult since I loved the series as a kid, just for some light, nostalgic reading) which I don't consider to be an amazing deal, as I can get them for that price and less from places like Ebay, but I was still really happy to see so many Nancy Drew books there I decided to go for it anyway, and they have so many other interesting books for much less too. I don't know where else I would have had to go if they didn't have these simple things available right here. I haven't used the pharmacy myself, but I know it's helpful to my mom when she's here for a long period of time. To my knowledge, she's had no issue having her prescriptions sent here or issues with picking them up. They have a lot of gift-like/knickknack things too. I've grabbed adorable postcards here before, and they have quite a big collection of other cards (holidays, birthday, etc). They have toys, some stationary things (also grab that sort of stuff here frequently), and other sections I know I am forgetting. But if you need something, they probably have it. Decent gas station located in Fred Meyer grocery store parking lot…read more They have about 8-10 pumps available. Most pumps are self-serve. We didn't see any employees pumping gas while we were there. They have snack and beverage vending machines available as well. Overall, we got what we needed, gas! The pump we used had a crappy lever on it. It kept clicking off like the tank was full, but we only had about a quarter tank when we stopped in. We ended up putting $80 of gas in the tank, but had to hold the pump lever the entire fill-up. A bit annoying.
