Her shop is amazing - full of fascinating crafts from lots of different artists, and she herself makes gorgeous stained glass! We found so many treasures, everything was priced so reasonably, and we spent the rest of our afternoon raving about how much we love this gem of a shop. The donuts were delicious and of course I had to get the whale-shaped one! The cream in the cream puff was probably the best I've had. And the lady who makes the donuts was very kind and helpful. They had a lot of ocean themed trinkets and goodies. The only addition I wish they'd have would be espresso to make lattes versus just drip coffee. But I definitely know where to go if I'm craving donuts the next time I'm on the coast!

Now this is the place to find souvenirs to take back with you!…read more There are many gift shops all around Lincoln City but we stumbled across this one. At Cap'n Gull's, there are so many gifts to choose from, ranging from magnets to shirts to snow globes. My goal is to bring back a snow globe from each city that I visit, and I ended up finding a cute one with a beach chair and umbrella inside. I also picked up a beach magnet, a Christmas ornament, and a street sign with my name on it. My boyfriend picked up several items as well. He got himself a shirt, a beer bottle opener, a basset hound magnet, and a beagle and a basset hound description photo frame. The total for all of these came out to about $100 or so. It's located on the 101 freeway right across the street from Kyllo's and the beach access parking lot, so you literally cannot miss it. You'll find almost everything from A to Z here.

A good sign! we thought, as the place is evidently popular. The girls working behind the counter were clearly overwhelmed, and two in particular were complaining loudly to one another, and I overheard the barista make a pretty rude comment to a regular (she knew him by name). Pastries didn't look too impressive to us (either pre-packaged or too sugary), so we ordered our coffees and then perused the broad selection of wares for sale, a mishmash of tea towels and journals and weird religious art, amongst other things. It took about a half hour for us to get our beverages (a honey latte and an iced latte with oat milk) from the time we arrived, and they were really not worth it. Neither of us finished our coffees and instead endured our ride back to Seattle mostly sans caffeine. Quite disappointing.
