This happens to be one of my most cherished businesses in Newport. An eclectic collection of international finds from jewelry to light switch covers, you can find something to enjoy at any price point. I've been frequenting this establishment since I moved to the area about four years ago. It is my my most favorite spot to find gifts. The owner, her daughter, and other staff member never fail to give detailed attention and information every time I visit. Most recently I purchased several jewelry pieces for a colleague and again received a warm welcome and patience in my decision making. Please visit this wonderful shop, you will not be disappointed. read more

I purchased a lovely $120 purse from this shop. However, after seeing a political sign opposing the enforcement of our immigration laws, I respectfully told the owners that I found it offensive. Instead of listening to my concerns, they became confrontational, repeatedly spoke over me, and attributed views to me that I had never expressed. I ultimately returned the purse and received a refund. Businesses have the right to express their political views, and customers have the right to decide where they spend their money. I will not support a business whose values conflict with my support for our nation's laws and law enforcement. read more

Fun little shop to browse. The clothing was expensive but probably all local. They have a lot of variety of gifty things. I found and little zipper bag that love and I'm always looking to find. It's on a nice strip of other fun stores so worth a stop in and support a local business. read more

I want to decorate my entire house in Jovi. Really, I think this may be the best furnishings store I've ever been in, in any city. I'm talking tablecloths, napkins, dishes, pot racks, lighting, hardware, rugs, soaps, candles and artwork. There's also furniture, sculpture, clothing, jewelry, cards, decorating books, music and other gorgeous things you must see and will be dying to have. Jovi collects beautiful things from around the world -- Europe, Asia and South America -- and arranges them in such a way that you could spend hours looking at every little thing. Touching, smelling, imagining it in your house. You'll want to buy gifts for every woman you know, and a couple for yourself. I've been in a lot of world market type stores and need to say that the merchandise at Jovi is very classy and understated. It's not gaudy or cheap or garish. Everything is made with high-quality materials and has been selected for its ability to mix and match with a variety of styles for an eclectic world-influenced look. Every display is magazine worthy and even if you don't buy anything, you will be inspired! read more

What a neat little eclectic shop! Lots of cute scarves, handbags, tops, and blankets! Just a neat spot for home furnishings and gift items! I am going back to grab a scarf from Nepal today!! And some items are pricey and some are quite reasonable. So something for everyone. It was also very tastefully done yet pleasing to the eye in terms of decoration!! Nice gal working there who was very nice and helpful but not overbearing! read more

Customer service is seriously lacking! The owner is quite a moody lady - won't be spending my money there - there are many more friendly shops to patronize that would be happy to get your business! read more

I love visiting this shop every year when I come to Oregon -- I've come every year for the past 5 years and choose gifts for my friends, and myself, but not before spending an hour looking in every nook & cranny. The service is fantastic, and there is a wide variety of price points, that can suit anyone. Thank you Jovi for always being a gem in Newport! read more

I really enjoy this store. I stop by and buy at least one item every time I am in Nye Beach. The store has so many unique items, you have to look closely and take several passes to see everything. She does such a nice job of finding such special items. I could spend hours looking through this store. I always find a nice gift or home decoration. On my latest trip, I left feeling inspired to travel with a Paris book in my hands. Can't wait to go again and she what she has in store for me. read more

I recently did not replace my over-the- stove built-in in microwave when it died, and needed to figure out what to do with the now empty wall space. Then I went into Jovi, which had been recommended by someone at another store. Man, am I glad I did! Veronica spent a lot of time with me, and found many different possible solutions. She was wonderful. Now, I just have to figure out what color to paint the wall to do my purchase justice. I'll be back for sure, and whenever I have out of town guests I will definitely bring them there. read more

JOVI is an absolute treasure. My partner, Celia and I adore this store and have introduced many friends to this lovely shop. It is a walk through the arts of many cultures and we are so lucky to have them in Oregon! Thank you so much! Renee read more

I stopped in for a look after visiting the Panini Bakery/Cafe next door. I have to admit -- there are some really beautiful things in here. I could easily spend more money than I aught and not even fill a single shopping bag -- beautiful scarves, throws, little rugs -- accent pillows. Shelves full of candles and soaps -- just exactly the kind of things I don't really need, but love to smell and admire and wander through.... Their merchandise is -- what is the word I keep seeing on Yelp? -- Spendy. Beautiful. Great gifts if you've got a fat wallet. And certainly worth a little window shopping. read more

Wow. Really. A magical, ethereal store. It's a store that could be anywhere in the world and be truly special. I found the most unusual and special gifts for friends, and of course myself. Bought a beautiful marble with ammonite light-switch cover, two fabulous "cat" decorative throw pillows, and a great fossil ammonite. there was soooo much more I wanted! I actually didn't buy anything the first day, and wasn't going to go back, but as we were leaving town, my Husband asked if i wanted to go back. I declined, and so we left. 3 minutes later we were parked in front of Jovi. He said, " get your things, because I can't hear you lamenting the whole ride home. He's so smart! If you are anywhere in the Newport area, make a detour and go to this store! I wish I didn't live a days drive away... Love you Jovi! read more

I really adore this locally owned shop. One of the first places that allowed me to discover new brands and items from around the world. Really quality goods and such lovely gifts for others and myself. Most everything a girl could enjoy in a enclave like this. Even trinkets for kids and fascinating puzzle boxes. So much fun every time I visit. They are really good at protecting their customers and following current COVID-19 protocols, which I really appreciated. If you enjoy exploring the world in a shop this is just the ticket read more

Jovi is one of the nicest shops carrying interesting, unique, and beautiful goods from all over the world, from linens, and scents, ceramics, rugs, tapestries, wearable garments, cards, jewelry and much more. Exotic, electic, I would love to move right into the shop and wish I could purchase nearly all the goods for my home. Jovi is a standout when compared to the best of shops in any urban or tourist location. I highly recommend it! read more

This shop is a gem in the middle of many tourist shops in Nye Beach. It definitely sticks out with its high-quality items from all over the world. The owners have great taste and can help with picking out gifts. Every time I have to find a gift for a difficult person to shop for, I go to Jovi and get some help. The goal of small boutiques like this is generally to draw together many captivating wares. This place was so successful that my friend and I didn't manage to leave for 45 minutes in spite of it's small space. read more

Fabulous & cute store! The owner's daughter was very sweet! Darling, things!

Furnishing a home on the Oregon Coast can be tricky, because there are not many high quality home decor stores here. After making the rounds of stores in Portland, Corvalis, Eugene and Salem, I always return to Jovi to buy. I love the eclectic nature of their unique home furnishings from around the world. The owners are very helpful, knowledgeable, and creative, and are always willing to suggest options for your personal decorating questions. read more

This store is a treasure-trove! I feel so fortunate to have this boutique in our little town. A nice store, but my experience was not worthy of my returning with the idea of buying again. After a rude refusal to allow my 69-year-old woman friend to use the restroom for an emergency which displayed a complete lack of common sense by the clerk. (It was early and we were the only people in the store.) I reluctantly returned and made purchases only then to be showered with smiles and "Help." I later called to make an additional purchase over the phone to be mailed. That purchase was then soured by the arrival of the said mailed package with one of 2 matching cups involved broken because it was so unprofessionally protected while wrapped. (The cups were left to be jostled about without adequate packing support during shipment.) The second cup promptly broke after one use, leading me to suspect that it was weakened during delivery. My friend then "retired" the tokuri (pitcher) for fear that it is too fragile to be used as was intended. The store is a nice to walk around while avoiding the beach, but I have no interest in making purchases there again. read more
