We had a great experience at Okaloosa. The appetizers were…read moreexcellent and set the tone for the meal. The chicken wings were perfectly seasoned and packed with flavor. The shrimp and sausage appetizer was another standout, with both cooked well and tasting great. We also tried the smoked salmon, which was fresh and delicious. For the main course, I had the ribeye topped with their house sauce. It reminded me of a house-made version of A1 steak sauce--rich, tangy, and a great complement to the steak. The sides were just as enjoyable. The mashed potatoes were creamy and flavorful, but the grits were the real surprise. They were outstanding and easily my favorite side of the meal. Overall, the food was well-prepared, flavorful, and enjoyable from start to finish. If you're looking for a quality steakhouse with excellent appetizers and delicious sides, Okaloosa is definitely worth a visit.

I ordered a Fried Shrimp Po Boy with fries, my wife ordered the Catfish Platter with fried okra and crinkle cut fries. Our server was very pleasant, and attentive, but not bugging us. She was patient with us since it was our first visit. Our food was cooked to order and the plates looked very delicious and filling. I was surprised to see a bowl of gravy coming to the table. I dipped a few fries in the gravy and was blown away by the unexpected flavor. We declined desserts, but their sweet offerings of Fried Apple and Peach Pies, milkshakes, and hand dipped ice cream was tough to pass up. We're coming back for the Chargrilled Burgers. A BIGGG PLUS, When We Arrived At Our Car, Our Server Ran Out As If Something Was Wrong. She handed us our santizizer that we left on the table. I can't tell you how many bottles we've left and no one returned them to us. Impressive, Most Impressive!!!

We were told there were only a few items left as they had sold out of other stuff. We got the smoothered pork chop, two scoops of rice with the pork chop gravy on top, and a scoop of cooked cabbage. The meal also included a roll similar to a kings Hawaiian, a slice of cornbread, a slice of cinnamon cake, and a choice of drink which was koolaide or bottle water (since I am diabetic We went with water), also a side of hot sauce and small container of cranberry sauce. The man and I shared the plate and it was enough for the two of us or easily one really hungry person. The pork chop was so tender we didn't need a knife and the gravy was so flavorful. The rice was lightly seasoned and I appreciated the gravy on it (next time I will ask for extra gravy). The cornbread was sweet and the roll was soft. I loved the cabbage it was soft and had a sweet flavor to it. Overall I can't wait to go back and try more things on Sundays. The meal was about $14 and some change and that included a 3% credit card charge which was fine.

Good Lord what a great place!…read more Hubby & I rolled in here needing some strong Cuban coffees to go! Score!!! Walking in, the place looks brand new, totally adorable & smelled so good we decided to hang around & stuff our faces while we were there with whatever they were cooking! Yeah! Lol We got their signature coconut cream seafood soup with the giant crab & the beef tacos, which are suppose to be their most popular dish. YUM! We have not stopped talking about this hidden jewel since we got back home! :)... The seafood soup was 2.die4! Hubby & I ate the whole thing. Then we fought over the tacos! Hand crafted tortillas from their own dough. Succulent tender quality beef seasoned to perfection then topped with super fresh cilantro & avocado. I never eat beef tacos but these? These have stolen my heart :).. They come with a red & green salsa. Warning: The red sauce is very very very HOT. I mean it's VERY SPICY. My whole face was burning for the remaining 5 hours drive home. Use sparingly or prepare yourself for torture lol The Cuban coffee with milk was delightful. Hubby drank them both. Good times ;) We are already planning our next trip back here! We can't wait to return! Highly recommend :)'
