Beans, rice, and toppings
Lexi C.

This was our first time here and we were excited to find a Mexican place on this side of town. The chips were nice and warm and the salsa and beans were very tasty. I loved my blackberry margarita but a little bummed there was no salt on the rim so next time I'll ask if they can add that. The bacon wrapped shrimp I ordered was incredibly delicious and I layered it on a tortilla with beans, grilled veggies, sour cream, and pico and it was amazing! I also enjoyed the beans and rice on the side and thought my meal was delicious. My man ordered a carne asada burrito and we thought the meat was delicious however the burrito wasn't our favorite so next time we will try something else for him. The service was great and all the ladies were informative, nice, and attentive. The ambiance and atmosphere was nice too and it had an authentic vibe. I can't wait to try other items here when we go back again!!

The food was amazing and plenty of it. The service was great - no waiting. The cheese enchiladas were amazing - had a really good sauce. The ambiance was good considering it an open concept. Would return for sure.

My friend from Whidbey requested this for take out and called it "Island Mexican food". Maybe I'm too much of a mainlander but it wasn't my cup of tea. My fajita salad was just a few strips of beef with lettuce, eggs, uncooked mushroom, and a few bits of avocado. It didn't even come with any dressing. My friend got the carne asada and loved it, though it seemed like a small portion for the price to me. My wife got one of the biggest burritos I've ever seen; it was ok.

Came here starving after driving off the ferry! I was so happy to find this place off in the corner of a strip mall off the highway. Stuff tried: Enchiladas espinaca: spinach enchiladas which i havent seen on many menus. Great garlicky spinach inside two enchiladas. With the mexican rice and refried beans, a nice meal. Chile relleno: i almost always try this dish whenever i see it on the menu! I asked if i could get this a la carte (not listed as an option on menu) and they were nice enough to accomodate. Version here is pretty solid and the pepper still has a tiny bit of spicy heat! Complimentary tortilla chips were very fresh out of the fryer and were great with excellent salsa! Do yourself a favor and ask for some extra salsa to pour on everything.

Our favorite Mexican Restaurant here in Whidbey Island. The staff are always welcoming and friendly. The service is fast and the food are always delicious. The salsa and chips always tasted fresh. Our favorites are the combination menus. We like the cheese enchiladas, burrito with shredded beef, chile relleno and chimichanga.

Kids meal. 5.99 not pictured huge cup of milk. My daughter was full and happy

The food is nasty. It's a cheap knockoff of Mexican food. Messed up orders. Poor service and quality.

Decent Mexican food. The service wasn't great, we were ignored for the first 15 minutes we were there. Chips & salsa were the best part.

If you are gluten-free and anywhere near the PNW, run, do not walk, to I Can't Believe It's Bread…read more I stopped by this morning and picked up a pack of lemon poppyseed muffins (4 for $19) and a pack of cinnamon rolls (4 for $20), and I'm still thinking about both. A muffin didn't even make it home, I ate it immediately in the car. It was moist, fluffy, bright, and absolutely delicious. You would never know it's gluten-free. Truly bakery-quality perfection. I've been craving their cinnamon rolls for weeks, and they absolutely lived up to the hype. Soft, gooey, comforting, and indulgent in the best way. But the food is only half the magic here. From the moment you walk in, the space is filled with great vibes, amazing energy, and the kindest staff. Everyone was so welcoming, smiling, and genuinely happy, it honestly lifted my whole morning. They offer an incredible selection: fresh breads, focaccia, cookies, pastries, soups, sauces, Italian imported pasta, and more. It's the kind of place where you want to try everything. And then, when I was checking out, they gave me a box of gluten-free Cheez-Its. THE box. The one that's sold out everywhere. The one my husband and I have been searching for for weeks. I was overjoyed. That small, thoughtful gesture meant so much and perfectly sums up how special this place is. We live in Seattle, so it's not the easiest trip anymore, but between the incredible gluten-free treats and the exceptional service, we will absolutely continue making the effort to come as often as we can. Great people. Great food. Amazing energy. A total win, not just for Bellevue, but for the entire state. Thank you for creating such a joyful, welcoming, and delicious space.

This was a pleasantly surprising experience as a vegan…read more My friend and I came in to celebrate as we are in town for hiking trip but wanted to do one nice dinner out. She made reservations and chose outdoors, not realizing it would be so cold, so I was freezing in my cotton dress. When I asked if they had any heaters, they kindly offered blankets so I took two and bundled myself up. For the amuse bouche, we got a radish with baba ghanoush and some sort of blackberry balsamic. For the first course, I got shishito peppers with baba ghanoush. The peppers weren't too spicy and paired well with the baba ghanoush. It's not something I would have probably sought out to eat myself so it was nice to have something different. For the main course, I got a shiitake, oyster mushroom rice noodle curry. This was surprisingly filling to the point that I had to waste some of the rice noodles. For dessert, I got a pear ginger blackberry fruit crisp. It was nice that you could taste that it wasn't made with a bunch of added sugar or anything. My friend got the other vegan dessert which was a coconut tapioca pudding, which I also tried, and was nice and light and tart, with some figs at the top. Service was great. Our server asked right off the bat about dietary restrictions so I told her vegan, no honey for myself. There was a very long gap between course 1 and course 2 which may have led to me getting full earlier than anticipated, and then the gap between the entree and dessert wasn't as vast. Our entire dinner took about two hours at Nourish, 7-9pm, which is longer than we expected, but the food was a pleasant experience. As a vegan, a little more protein was top of mind when reading the menu, but I love that they created good vegetable based dishes without any mock meats or excess sodium or processed ingredients. My friend also really enjoyed her food. Priced at $78 per person, it's a nice night out. We recommend.

The food was all very good and well-prepared. I had duck and it was some of the best duck that I've had in a restaurant aside from Peking duck in a couple very specific Cantonese restaurants. I will definitely come back here next time I'm on the peninsula.

Whole place is gluten free and dairy free- no exceptions! This is awesome for me because I can eat anything there and don't need a special menu. Don't overlook the zucchini- it cooks into the dish so well. I usually get it in the hot stone dish because I like how it crisps up the rice, but then I have to take it to go because it's a HUGE serving. That amount of protein and veggies for $15 is so iconic. They bring you sauce to the table and you can use as much as you want. So many choices tooo! To go boxes are usually needed, and they make great leftovers. Ample street parking, super kind staff. We were visiting nearby for the week and wanted to branch out from the resort restaurant where we…read morewere staying. One of the front desk staff recommended El Molcajete Mexican Grill, about a 5 minute easy drive away. Parking is right out front and there is plenty of it. Handicapped too, with no stairs or steps to get in or out. Nice, clean, welcoming and I LOVED the carved Mexican diningroom chairs with the hand painted agave plants. The artwork on the walls was mighty impressive too. Very pleasant. It was not crowded the night we went and it felt like a local, "regulars" crowd. Older, with lots of experience with the giant Margaritas served. I think there was at least one at every table. Husband tried the CAMARONES A LA DIABLA ($23): grilled shrimp with hot red sauce. Served with lettuce, sour cream, tomatoes, onions, rice, beans, avocado slices and tortillas. It was HUGE. The plate it was served on reminded me of the turn-table plate from a microwave oven! I tried the TACOS DE CAMARON ($23): grilled shrimp folded in three corn tortillas drenched with red sauce. Served with lettuce, sour cream, tomatoes, onions, bell peppers, rice, beans and avocado slices. I actually would have just ordered the regular street tacos if I had known mine was going to be drenched in red sauce. Both meals were tasty but neither of us could finish the huge portions. Staff is friendly & efficient. Food arrived very quickly too. There are two TVs on the wall, both tuned to some sporting event. I believe the sound was off as I also heard Mexican music quietly playing in the background. Nice place if this is your vibe for Mexican food (aka Tex-Mex). You won't leave hungry or unhappy, especially if you have a giant Margarita!

It was clean, but it feels like sitting in a fishbowl. Service was fast, and the margaritas were huge and very strong, which almost felt like a strategy to help you enjoy the experience more. Unfortunately, the food didn't deliver. The salsa was very bland with no kick, and the chips were barely better than bagged. One bite of the enchiladas made it seem the sauce was from a can. While the ingredients were all fresh and everything was plated and prepared nicely, it all lacked flavor. The fajitas were the same, very sweet, lacking flavor and underwhelming. Almost tasted like teriyaki sauce. It's disappointing to go out and get a meal that's worse than something you could quickly make at home. If you're coming from Poulsbo, Los Cazadores, or El Huarache are much better options.
