Just ate at Patrick's pub today for lunch had flys flying around our food. Had to box up a meal so that I could finish my food. I have sat outside with no flys around but when I eat inside there are flys everywhere. Swatting flys away entire time that I was eating. Not the best experience I have had eating there. Waiters all had to walk by us to get to the kitchen, all of them watching us swat flys away from our food. No one asked if there was anything wrong. read more

Well to start off we HIGHLY recommend the Lobster Crab Cakes, Ive never had anything like them- delicious. Some have mentioned that this is a CHEER's type atmosphere and I have to agree. So we get there for our very 1st visit to this establishment and find that its very busy, which we kinda expected being a concert night. Hostess told us 35 minutes but it was about 20 minutes (acceptable). We waited a few minutes for the waitress who although being very busy was very nice and welcoming and attentive. After the usual start with drinks and app and ordering our main course we waited and waited and waited for our food to show up. At other tables who showed up 20 minutes after us had already received their food and we still waited. It wasn't like we ordered anything special either just off the menu. I ordered the highly recommended Mac & Cheese w/Steak tip dinner and my wife ordered a sandwich. We finally got our food and it was MEH-OK... it was hot but seemed like the Mac & Cheese was sitting under a lamp for awhile. The Mac & Cheese was highly recommended but lacked that WOW factor and it only came with 4 steak tips. Her sandwich was a Chicken Parm and it was very good. We dont get up to this area very often but I might consider trying another place instead. Its great that others have good experiences here but we did not. Stopped before the Five Finger Death Punch concert and was told there was about a 20 minute wait. No big deal, we didn't want to see the opener or tailgate, this is why we stopped! So we sat in the bar with the pager and tried to order drinks. The pager went off before we could order! Got a table and great service and drinks and food right away! Everything tasted great and huge portions that we were able to pack up and bring home, or at least eat in the car on the way home from the concert! First time in NH, and some regulars at our resort mentioned this place as a must to try. We came on a Monday at 4:45PM and there was already a wait which to me was a good sign. The atmosphere is casual and fun. We wanted to sit at a table in the pub section since it was very lively, but I did notice they have nice outdoor seating too. Everything we ordered (Potato skin appetizers, salads, chicken fingers, lobster crab cakes, stuffed haddock)-- everything was great. Loved the loaded mashed potatoes! Our server was wonderful. We will definitely be back on our next trip to the lakes region! A good spot to bring kids too and feel welcome and comfortable. read more

Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday and ate in the dining room. My husband and I had the pub burgers which were good. My son ordered the chicken Parmesan which was nothing special. The service was very slow. We had to track down a new waitress to refill an ice tea as ours disappeared after she took our order. The worst part was the noise level. Like being in a gymnasium. The yelling and shouting was mostly coming from from the wait staff trying to be heard over the din. I am a wreck after this lunch and we will not be back. This restaurant is truly a gem in Gilford. I was really blown away by the food here. First we got the pig skins (potato skins) which were really good but a little overpriced, and for the full meal I got the drunken chicken (BBQ chicken tenders) and the person I was with got the stuffed haddock. There was really no bad part to this dinner, all of the food and sides were incredible. My only complaint about the place is that it's very loud inside. My bff and I have eaten here twice before concert venues. Both times the place was very crowded but we managed to get two seats at the bar. The bartenders are friendly and engaging among the lively, fun and chaotic bar scene. The food is basic pub food, very reasonably priced. Many choices. Food is served in generous portions, warm and fresh from the oven. They do a wonderful job on the gluten free options and the bartenders really pay attention and take the time to make sure the dietary request is followed through. The cocktails are refreshing and reasonably priced. We are not from the area, nor familiar and the first time we found this place randomly.
