On vacation in NH and decided to try this place for dinner since it was closest to our resort... So glad we did! The Restaurant is kid friendly and have a little paper crown for the kids and paper menu with crayon coloring. It's Divided into pub section and Restaurant, lots of seating options. We were here on a Friday night around 7 and was seated right away. Large selection of food and tap beer. We ordered prime rib (only available Friday & Saturday nights) and shepard's pie for dinner. For prime rib, it came with 2 sides, I had sweet potato fries ($1.99 upgrade) and butternut squash. The food came promptly and they were delicious! My medium rare prime rib was tender and flavorful, the butternut squash puree was spiced with cinnamon and nutmeg and sweet. The sweet potato fries were crispy and not oily. My husband shared his shepard's pie with our daughter and it was big enough portion to satisfy them both. We even had room for dessert! We shared the chocolate cheese cake with cherry glaze. It was so good. All in all, our bill came to $60, which is amazing! That's 2 entrees, 3 draft beer, 1 dessert. That never happens in NY or any typical vacation places!!! we are really liking NH so far. After dinner, on Friday night they have dueling piano as entertainment. We stopped at the pub section to check it out. It was great! Basically it's 2 guys taking turns singing and playing piano. They welcome requests and are very good. We walked out before a server even came by. Last weekend we walked in the door, saw a lot of tables open and were handed a pager indicating it'd be 10 minutes. We wanted to be in the bar area, there was no space at the bar but you had to wait for the tables around there too - which a few were open. 15-20 mins later, after some regulars went into the bar area and sat down. The manager seated is a back area near the restrooms and kitchen....there were a lot of other options. Said our server would be right with us. 4 wait staff walked by, nothing. 5 mins later, we said screw it and got up. Went right past the manager as we walked out, he didn't even notice. In all, the restaurant was half empty and there were enough staff to cover everyone. Bad customer service usually correlates to the food too. Not stopping by here again. read more

My family and I have come here twice and think it is so good!!!! The buffalo wings are INCREDIBLE, as are the lobster crab cakes and mashed potatoes! My family has enjoyed their meals too. My brother said the cheeseburger club is so great. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive. We also appreciate how careful they are being given the current situation of Covid. Patrick's is slowly becoming a favorite of mine in this area. It's a nice place with a great staff, a ton of drink and food options and a warm atmosphere. The beer is always cold and the food is always great! Our waitress, who has only been working as a waitress for a month, was fantastic! She made sure we were very happy & when the kitchen messed up an order, she caught it right away and fixed the problem immediately. I have yet to have a bad experience here. I ordered the yellow fin tuna on a plate of mix of greens. The greens where all spinach so I'm not sure where the "mix " is in that & the sauce just drowned out the poor meek tiny slivers of tuna.. it was a pretty sad sight . I didn't want to watch my poor pathetic fish die a 2nd agonizing death on my plate so I sent it back to the people who had prepared it.. next I tried their onion soup.. I mean what could go wrong right?.. The soup itself was rich in flavor..but the onions weren't cut to fit on your spoon & slid back into the bowl. I had to cut them. They had piled cheese high on top.. so high in fact that I had to scoop most of it off to the side.. but what really got me was the bread.. they baked the bread right into the soup. it was SUPPOSED be topped with home made croutons,,, that's not how it was brought out to me. I heard this is an Irish tradition.. but one I'm not particularly found of . I prefer my bread dry.. not drowned like my poor tuna ~~~ THIS was the owners response on google reviews..note he/she never even tried to explain why the menu read MIX greens & I received only spinach (the cheapest of the greens normally placed on a plate of this type) or why they felt the need to drown it after Response from the owner "I'm very sorry you did not enjoy your meal. We eat here before we go to a concert because it's really the only place to sit down an eat nearby. We have been eating here once every summer for years. The food has been consistently mediocre. Edible, passable, but we'd eat somewhere else if we had the option. The food is bland and unseasoned. I don't mean not spicy; I mean no seasoning at all. Bland. I have never seen any seasoning on the food; no basil, no oregano, no garlic, no parsley, nothing. The batter for the fried food is tasteless and unseasoned. The prime rib is cooked properly, but there is no seasoning on the meet before roasting. It's bland and tasteless. The salad dressing is awful commercial food service full-chemical product. The cooked vegetable side dishes are frozen vegetables in the summer. That's inexcusable. I don't understand why people give this place rave reviews? read more

So this place had some good recommendations from locals, we arrived and it was standing room only. Got a table in about ten minutes. I ordered the lobster Crab cakes with the Mac and cheese and sweet potato fry upgrades. Cappy got the Delmonico ribeye. First..... Lobster Crab cake. No the first ingredient listed in the description was NOT the most plentiful. Couple little pieces of lobster, and the crab was most likely canned, as it had that flavor. Overall not very tasty. The Mac and cheese the waitress raved about. Eh not very good either... Why do people rave about their Mac and cheese and then it doesn't even have a proper sauce? All broken and runny. Sweet potato fries were good enough, I suspect right out of a bag. Cappies steak was grizzly and flavorless he said. His "loaded" baked potato was cold undercooked and wouldn't even melt the butter they finally brought him. Second... The service sucked. Never mind the fact there were multiple staff running around and or standing around the hostess stand. We ordered a beer each to start and a water. We were never asked over the hour and a half we were there if we wanted another drink. My water ran out shortly after my beer did. Never refilled. Next day a local told us...."if you aren't a regular there they don't care to serve you." They had a lot of merch to peddle though. read more

It's food and they have a bar. The food isn't terribly exciting and the service is typically below average. They didn't make a meal for a child in the booth next to us and we never got the dessert that we ordered the last time we visited Patrick's. The server didn't even know of the dessert although it was on the specials for the day. Our server seemed hungover or simply apathetic today. They have live entertainment and they give away a trip to Ireland. It's the only real restaurant in the area. Maybe a bit of competition would get this place to step up their game a bit. read more

Dining at Patrick's Pub has been a tradition with my fiancé and his family for the last five years or so. The service and food have always been excellent and we look forward to our time here every August for our annual NH vacation. Understandably when we decided to get married in nearby Laconia, we wanted to continue the tradition and chose to book our rehearsal dinner at Patrick's in September 2017 for our wedding in April 2018. Everything was going smoothly until this past weekend. We were contacted by the event staff and informed that our rehearsal dinner had to be canceled. Only 55 days before the rehearsal dinner, invites purchased AND sent, and we find out that our event is canceled at Patrick's. With no contract or down payment and only sporadic emails back and forth, we had no legal precedent. We were heartbroken and furious. According to staff, March and April are Patrick's dead time during the year. In order to bring in business, they decided to do a promotion by removing the dinning area and replacing it with a beach bar, sand and all. In an Irish pub. A sand bar. I hope that makes more sense to you than it did to us. In summary, less than two months before our wedding with all its numerous moving parts and issues, Patrick's Pub reneges on our verbal agreement. The ONLY thing I will say for them is that before contacting us, Patrick's reached out to Fratello's in Laconia to essentially dump us at their doorstep. A place we have never frequented and do not know the quality of the food or service. Needless to say we will never go to Patrick's again after this unprofessional, dishonorable, and unscrupulous display of what Patrick's customer loyalty really means to this establishment. read more

We were so disappointed to visit this restaurant based on the reviews that were very good. We had an entirely different experience. The only positive about dining here was the choice of beer.Being St. Patrick's Day I ordered a traditional dish of Lamb Stew and my husband a Corned Beef Sandwich. After a long wait our food arrived practically cold. The lamb Stew (if it truly was lamb) was served over mashed potatoes that were most likely purchased ready made. The stew was composed of a tasteless gravy containing mushy carrots and more potatoes and 2 pieces of fatty meat that did not taste like lamb. The meal was more like a cheap canned beef stew. Informed the server, but she shrugged and said she hadn't tasted it. My husband's sandwich was grilled and very dry. Neither of us could eat the food and will never return. For $50 plus for 2 beers and our meals we felt it was an outrageous price to pay. Avoid going here for a meal and just order the drinks. read more

Thanks to Yelp we tried Patrick's last night. It was fantastic. Clean, nicely appointed, the food was great and our server was the bomb!!! Holly was exceptional. She gave good honest input on meals, our drinks were never empty and if something was forgotten she retrieve it immediately. The hosting staff was equally as good. They were welcoming attentive and friendly. Our family comes up to Alton each summer and we usually frequent another place, not after last night it will always be Patrick's moving forward. We loved the onion hooks, the Poutine, burgers, prime rib and the mac and cheese. Party of 9 was full and HAPPY!!! Thank you so much. read more

I came here with my family over the summer and forgot to leave a review. My dad had eaten here before a few times wayyy long ago, so we decided to grab some dinner here since he remembered it being delicious. We came on a week day in July and were all starving. There was no wait. Since we were on vacation, we indulged and ordered probably three different apps. All of it was sooo good. Turns out our eyes are bigger than our stomachs though and we were all so full that we didn't have any room for our meals. The problem was (and the reason I took away two stars) we had to wait almost two hours to get our meals, no exaggeration. We asked at least 2-3 times where our food was at and kept being told that it'd be right out. When it finally came out, everything was to die for. I think I ordered a pasta dish (maybe buffalo chicken mac and cheese?) and potato skins. Everyone in my family loved their meals. Honestly don't know if I'd come back though because of that killer wait, although no other reviewers seemed to have this issue. read more

Husband ordered the stuffed mushrooms and said they were perfect, I got the Patricks poutine and it was a great take on it, then for our main course my husband had the haddock and I got the home made mac and cheese with steak tips and can I say wow again, the steak melted in my mouth and the Mac and cheese was soooooooo gourmet!!!!! I travel 40 minutes to come here for dinner. Its my favorite place north of concord. Its a fun place and the food is always outstanding. I know they do a lot of charity stuff and I appreciate that so much. They have renovated the interior twice since I have been going here. I love the new waiting and hostess area. The bar never changes. It is a large long bar that is almost always full. Almost impossible to find 3 seats together. But that's ok. Im glad they are so busy. They seem to have a great crowd of local people. I must say, the bartenders hustle. They are always moving but they keep everyone (as far as I can tell) very happy. I recommend the burger or the steak tips, but everything that comes out of the kitchen is amazing and consistent. Its just a neat place with great food. If you go in the summer you will be surrounded by boaters. In the winter you will see all the snowmobilers parking outside. read more

We stopped for dinner and it was BUSY. Got a buzzer and grabbed a beer at the bar. They were flipping tables fast and our quoted 30 minute wait ended up only being 10-15! Went here twice while visiting the area. They have a tavern area and a dining area. We sat in the tavern area both times. There are booths, a bar and live entertainment in the tavern area. The dining area has table seating also. It's a nice casual place in a small strip mall and there is plenty of parking. The first time, I had the crab cakes which i enjoyed. My friend had the pork quesadilla and thought it was wonderful. The second time, I had the fish special which I didn't enjoy as much. However both times enjoyed the butternut squash. With entrees you have the choice of two sides. Service was good and it appears to be a popular spot. read more

My husband and I visited from RI and decided to give this place a try after spending time at Weirs beach. We were pleasantly surprised!! Up here on a business trip off season and cold outside, but warm and friendly inside. I am clearly not from the area, but was greeted as a local by Jennifer the bartender, who made me a great Irish old fashion. They had live music, local talent, and that was a bonus for a Tuesday night. My appetizer was the stuffed mushrooms, outstanding! Two Irish old fashioned and theold fashion and the pain of the day is gone. The staff is close as a family but do not neglect the guests. Finally had a burger burrito, that was outstanding, as well as the fries. One more old-fashioned and I had to leave or call for bail money. The place was great and highly recomend it.
