The purchase experience was GREAT!!!! Zero complaints there. Sales Advisor Ellis and Sales Manager Phil are amazing and acually care about people and have very high ethics! We purchased a 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 High County as one of the best vehicles to tow our new 2025 Salem 26ICE travel trailer. However, when we went to pick up our new trailer, one day after purchasing this truck, we discovered the 7-pin connection from the truck to the trailer is not working properly. The turn signals and brake lights show an error in the truck trailer lighting system check. The RV dealer tried connecting various connectors and extenders, no luck. They connected a few different vehicles and the light work perfectly. By process of elimination and logical deduction, the problem has to be with this trucks trailer/towing management system. The GM technitions ran a test using a GM tester and found no errors. No surprise there! Simply moved on claiming no problem. Discussions with other GM truck owners, trailer owners, and others led to a truck wiring problem. We are being sent to Ashland Hitch, here in Ashland. A 3rd party person who may be able to advise. I will provide an update as things progress. UPDATE:. you are only as good as your weakest link.! unfortunately, the service department is the week link for this dealership. The sales department is the strongest link for this dealership. It was the sales manager, who took the initiative to do some investigating and reach out to another local company who could possibly provide more information about the situation. After connecting with that company, clarity on the issues was revealed. We were ultimately able to get the trailer lights to work properly. The reason for the failure the seven pin connector on the truck. As the technical service bulletin, General Motors issued for this item clearly indicated, the seven pin connector needs to be replaced with a newer one that will not have the same problem. The service department failed to clearly recognize this, and only served to dismiss the issue as "not their problem". For that reason, and that reason alone, I have to lower the rating for the dealership. It is probably best if you purchase your vehicle here at Patrick GMC, you have it serviced somewhere else. I do highly recommend and give high accolades to Phil Scott and his sales team. They are outstanding.! read more

Wasn't going to leave a review because I never care enough, but I got another call from their service department this morning and felt I had to say something. I went in March because of a faulty BCM connector. It turned out to be one bad connection, pretty easy fix. It took them 3 days to diagnose that. I'm not complaining about that. It's under warranty and I had a loaner. What I am upset with is that during those three days, they changed my oil without me asking. This was in early March. I received a text at the end of May asking for me to pay $86 for an oil change in March. So naturally I texted back asking why I am being charged and also to book a 30k miles service appt. I heard nothing back at all. Until today, a lady calls me on the phone asking me AGAIN for the $86. I asked if she saw my texts from May. No idea what I was talking about. I then explained why I wasn't paying, how I had reached out to them numerous times in between my service appt in March and now and heard nothing, and that I will be going to a different dealer. Her response was "okay" in a very rude tone. Unprofessional staff to work with and incredibly frustrating and disorganized. If you can find a local mechanic, that'd be your best best. Very unhappy with the service department. Not the first time had to take the vehicle back to fix their mistake. The service manager Mason is not easy to deal with. Makes excuses and accuses others instead of taking responsibility. They broke several parts of my vehicle and first tried to say was supposed to look like that. Then when after hours went by, finally admitted they did break it, wanted to act like it was no big deal. The service manager made contradicting statements that made no sense. They really need to get their act together and admit to their mistakes and not continue to make over and over again. I would not recommend going here as they take no responsibility for their lack of knowledge on certain vehicles and then when damage your vehicle, act like they did nothing wrong. read more

I have been a loyal customer of Patrick for over ten years, since they had the Kia dealership on Nine Mile Road. I have always found them honest, honorable and to maintain integrity while providing the highest level of service. Apparently something is rotten in Ashland, as I recently paid over $700 only to still have the same issues with my vehicle. Rather than be transparent, accountable, or honest, the Service staff waited until end of business day to leave a message, simply to tell me they refused to fix the issue and to basically visit another dealer. My second battery in 2015 GMC Sierra was dead. Travelling from California. I went to Orielys auto parts on Sunday and they said they could put in battery if I bought it there. This is the auxiliary battery that is a little more complicated to put in. Bought battery from them for $229 but then they said they could not install. I returned battery to them. On Monday, went to Patrick Buick GMC. The put in new battery and fixed connection on other battery. Total $260. Awesome service. Price was extremely reasonable. Thank you. read more

A friend of recommended Patrick Buick GMC Ashland, I went in the day before thanksgiving needed a basic brake job on my 2020 Yukon XLT, initially I was told all I needed was front brakes, well before it was done I was charged over two thousand dollars for a brake job, a few days after Thanksbiving my brakes were still making noise, I returned with my vehicle the service manager attempted to charge me again for additional brake pads after my initial payment. I thought what kind of LOW Life Grease Monkey organization is this, in addition they charge me for using my credit card Thirty dollar convience fee. I wrote letters to the General Manager and the Owner Mr. Patrick, no response from the owner, the General Manager told me things are expensive now, I am a senior citizen living on a fixed income, and to be ripped off by these LOW LIFE Grease Monkeys is unspeakable and I will never take my care there again. read more

My husband is in the market for a new truck. Found one on the website and began a text conversation with a salesperson. He was pleased with the interactions so we drove out to test drive the truck with the intention of buying it. Since we'd already secured financing, this should have been an easy process. As soon as we got to the lot, things went south. We were greeted by a different salesperson who took us inside to find the one my husband had contacted. When we did it was clear he was couldn't have been less interested in helping us. Salesperson from the text messages did exactly nothing except berate the person actually helping us. He didn't even look at the car we were trading, someone else did. He did at one point tell my husband he wanted to try a different financing option to see if he could get a better deal but then LEFT the lot entirely when he was supposed to be running the financing paperwork. It wasn't until a third person saw my husband wandering through the building that we finally got some information and learned that the financing paperwork never got processed and based on what we already secured, it wasn't going to work out. We basically had waited almost 20 minutes for nothing. Meanwhile, the gentleman who was actually helping us was completely clueless about the situation. When we were leaving, he apologized even though he didn't do anything wrong. I know car buying is a process but this was a nightmare. Unless you are willing to waste your afternoon while absolutely nothing gets done in the process of buying a car, go anywhere else. Anywhere. read more

I took my car to Patrick Buick GMC on 12/1/14 because of a misfire. The car was putting multiple codes out referring to the fuel injectors and such. Of all the parts and pieces in my vehicle the technician comes up with the conclusion that there was water in my tank. Okay, at least I know. They tell me to put 93 in it a couple times and it should burn off soon. About a week or two later I took it back to them because the issue was still the same after a bottle of dry gas and two tanks of 93 later. They took my car back and pulled a 'fuel sample'. I was shown the sample and yes, there was a tiny bit of water at the bottom. Okay, now I know for certain it's water. A month goes by and the car is not getting any better whatsoever. I decided to take it to another dealership for a second opinion. Luck Chevrolet is the place to go! After about an hour the service man came out and told me that the ignition coil was broken and after it's replacement the problem was fixed! I took the new diagnosis over to Patrick Buick GMC and told them their was NO water in my tank, EVER, and that I'd like my refund of $100 for a fuel sample they took. This is where I became even more amazed by their terrible customer support. I was told I was NOT getting a refund back because their WAS water in the tank and that it's what was wrong with the vehicle. Total lies! Needless to say, after getting a bit overheated over the telephone, I was finally offered a credit at any of the GMC Chevy dealerships, lame. David Smith (the service manager) told me every piece of lie he could think of in order to NOT reimburse me for their mistake. I even showed them proof from Luck Chevrolet and what they had to fix. Way to make your customers feel important! AND sticking up for a technicians mistake?! When you have made a mistake, own up to it! Don't sit their and back up something that wasn't true. It was as simple as saying, 'I'm sorry we made a mistake, let's make it better.' But instead, I was given the run around multiple times, I was made to feel like a liar and an idiot. I did my research and after calling them multiple times and letting them know that I DID NOT think it was a water issue I was finally able to say, 'told you so'. But that doesn't make the situation better. What would have made it better would have been someone apologizing and cooperating, which never happened. My calls were never returned, even after I was told they would be. They didn't want to fix the actual problem or spend any serious time trying to find the CORRECT problem. But, with that being said, if you still decide to have any work done through them plan to make it an all day event! read more

My 70 year old mother showed up for work at Patrick with a flat tire at 4:30pm. She was told that she should've brought the car in earlier in the day because the service department closes at 4:30pm. They were willing to keep the car overnight and fix it the next day but made no effort to help her with any arrangements for transportation when she got off work at 8pm. I called the service manager the next day and was told that my mother was an adult and knew how to make arrangements for herself.
