I recently attempted to purchase a BMW X7 from Patrick BMW in Illinois and unfortunately the experience was extremely disappointing. Two days before pickup, I had already completed everything the dealership asked of me. I secured financing through my bank, had the purchase agreement sent to my lender, the check was issued, and I even added the vehicle to my insurance policy. From my perspective, the deal was essentially ready to close. However, when it came time to finalize everything, several additional products were introduced that had never been discussed earlier in the process. The finance manager explained that the $3,500 maintenance plan would be important because brakes on this vehicle can cost around $5,000, and she also recommended wheel and tire protection for roughly $3,000. While I understand dealerships offer these types of protections, my concern is that these options were introduced after the deal was basically complete and after my lender had already issued a check. As a consumer, I expect to be given all available options upfront so I can make an informed decision before moving forward with financing and insurance. Introducing additional costs at the final stage forced me into the position of having to call my bank, void a check, and restart the funding process. To make matters more frustrating, after everything was already in motion, the salesperson informed me that I would also need to physically "wet sign" documents before the vehicle could leave the dealership. This was never mentioned earlier either. Since I live about 4.5 hours away, that meant either driving nearly 9 hours round trip or waiting for documents to be mailed back and forth. At that point, I asked to speak with the General Manager, Keith, hoping we could find some kind of resolution given the amount of time and effort I had already invested. Unfortunately, the response I received was simply that there must have been "miscommunication," with no real effort made to acknowledge the inconvenience or salvage the deal. In the end, poor communication and last-minute changes ended up killing what was nearly a $74,000-$75,000 sale. Buying a vehicle in this price range should be a smooth and professional experience. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here. Will never consider using them again!! Worst experience ever!! read more

We bought a new X5 from this dealer in Illinois in March,2026. We still have not received registration from our BMV, which is out of state in Indiana. We have been getting run arounds from various departments in this dealership. We still do not know how can there be sucha goof ups and delay? We have been buying cars from the Chicago area for the last 30 years and never had issues. The calls are not returned. Indiana BMV has no records of the correspondence regarding registration of this new car. Except for good service and support from the salesperson, Mr.Sables, at the time of purchase, this dealership has poor customer support after you buy the vehicle from them. read more

I went to Patrick for service in a car I recently bought elsewhere. I had taken it to another BMW dealership for service and the problem was presented as complete and good to go and it clearly wasn't. Two days after getting it back the check engine light was back on. This time I took it to Patrick. I was Met with kindness and respect as well as shuttle service To and from work. They were careful to not speak negatively about their competition but it was revealed that the same issue I had taken to the other dealership wasn't complete, They left out the final step. Not Only frustrating but this is an additional time commitment. Not only did Josh at Patrick check in with me to give me updates but also sent me a video of the tech working on my car, explaining what they were doing. He went further and ran a full diagnostics on my car (which the other dealership refused to do) and presented it to CarMax Where I had purchased the car in a way that encouraged Them to fully pay for The diagnostics as well as The fix --while I'm still under the initial warranty. Also claimed to give me "2 keys" and gave me 1 key and a $20 eBay knock off that just looks like a key. Stated they would reimburse me for the key, then complained about the cost of the key and said they would "never reimburse that much" and claimed i over paid for the key because of the service I used. (Which was over $200 cheaper than going through a dealership) This dealership talks a big game and delivers on none of the things they promise. They employ amateurs who dont know how to do basic research before they make stupid statements and treat customers poorly. Avoid like the plague. Take your money and business elsewhere. read more

I've been a loyal MINI owner for over a decade, and I wanted to retire my R50 on the 10th year anniversary of buying it, so I started planning to purchase another one a few months ago. After finding out how rare manual 4Ds coopers are, I made the commitment in September and placed an order for a custom new build manual Cooper at Glenco MINI; but somehow the order got messed up and they build it with an automatic transmission.. and I didn't find out until about a week before It was supposed to arrive. If I could rate this place 0 stars I would. No one knows what they are doing there, most of the staff is so unprofessional. There is 0 organization at this place and no communication with their clients. They promise you things and make the deal sound sweeter than it is. Once you sign those papers they don't care about you. It takes 10 business days to reach anyone at that office. They sold me a 60,000 car claiming they did a presale inspection and everything was all good. Told us they were going to print us the previous owners Service records and vehicle history report and to sign with good faith. Never got those papers. Brought the car home only to have problems within the next three days of the purchase. Took 2 weeks to schedule an appointment and they kept the car for over a week (for something that takes not even half an hour to fix) bc they "didn't have the parts ready". That was hilarious considering that the manager said that they were already working on it. The whole "come to you" for services is fake. They called me for a recall on my car, must've been the wrong person because after calling another BMW dealership they looked up my VIN and there is no recall on my vehicle. Porters have more knowledge than the Sales Department. Only amazing person there is Joanne I feel bad that she has to work with these people. As for Manny thanks for being nice and the only unproblematic person there. Never ever purchase or service your vehicle here it's the biggest waste of your time. Wish I had a better experience but that's what you get trusting people so easily. read more
