Patrick and Sons is the company I always go to with my garage door word. Patrick knows.hisnstudf and has been in the business a long time. Had a garage door that was starting to be mis-aljgned due to temperature expansion and I called Patrick on my speed dial and he gave me his availability to come out to take a look at what the issue was. I fwded him pics and video of the issue initially. He came out on time as promised and quickly diagnosed the issue and offered several options for what he observed. He even suggested that I do some exterior work trim through my HOA so as to save a little bit of money. I trust Patrick completely bc he doesn't try to do an upsell, and he lives by his value of treating others as you'd want to be treated. The quote was quite reasonable. It's good to have someone that you trust and know that they'll do a good work, that's why I always go to Patrick. read more

Buyer beware!! I'd highly encourage you to shop around before hiring this company First of all, Options for door choices were not provided during first meeting. Door I requested was not the door that was installed. 2. Called for status update for install twice. No return call. Installer texted one hour out to TELL ME he would be installing today causing me to leave work unpaid to meet installer. 3. Customer service call to company resulted in dealing with an arrogant unpleasant person who threatened to put a lien on my house when I expressed my displeasure. Wait, aren't I the customer here?? This company obviously has zero concerns for the type of business they do or the way they deal with clients. 4. They add a service charge for a Zelle (cash) payment for the down payment. read more

Called Patrick on a Sunday and he was here within 1 hour. His professional skills were thoughtful, thorough, honest and he was a pleasure to deal with. read more

First job acceptable. Second job request unacceptable as this contractor won't put the job proposal in specific wording of work to be done. First proposal had a wrong date and very unspecific about the work to be done. Never redid a new proposal after numerous requests. Very apprehensive as to going forward with this business at this time. Find it odd this business has no address. I would not recommend this business to anyone. read more

I hope business is really good for Patrick and Son. My wife and I requested a quote, however the inquiry was ignored. Good Luck!

I needed a new garage door opener. I am a night owl. I put a request out at 10:30 on a Friday night. Patrick answered me within 10 minutes. He listed the product and an estimate on the spot. AND he was available the next morning. Patrick is very professional! He is kind and respectful! He did the job quickly. My car was hard to program but he didn't give up!! I give Patrick and Son my highest recommendation!! I am ecstatic I can check this project off my list!!! read more

We had a very old garage door opener we wanted replaced. I sent a request for an estimate to Patrick, and got a response in about 10 minutes. Very reasonable, and very quick to schedule an appointment. Patrick arrived on time and replaced our old opener in less than 90 minutes. He also let us know about some garage door repairs we'll have to consider later, but did not try to upsell or get something done then and there. Great to have options, though, and I'd definitely go to him for future garage door work. Very friendly, very professional, and highly recommended! read more

Patrick returned my call within 24 hours, and had the repair completed in another 24. He assessed the issue, and gave me a few options in the repair. Price was fair, service was quick. Very professional. Wouldn't hesitate to use again, but I suspect with the quality of the work I won't need to. read more

I found Patrick on Yelp among a few other companies and decided to go with his company based on the information he provided during the estimation process and also his price. The experience overall was really fantastic! He was easy to work with based on his product knowledge, timeline, and communication in general - really nice guy. He was able to give us a totally custom door at a fraction of the price. I would highly recommend this company - you won't regret it! read more

Not only did he provide excellent service... he went above and beyond and took care of all of the cleaning up and Servicing all the other pieces of the door. He tried to save me money from my initial estimate but he was on point and delivered a repair that was timely and efficient! He did greT work! Can't say enough positive things about Patrick! Call him first and he will be the last call you make for your garage door needs! read more

HIGHLY recommend Patrick and Son! Called them at 8am the day after Labor Day and he was at my place in just over an hour. Within 90 minutes, he replaced the spring and coils on my garage door and I was back in business. He had all the parts with him; no extra trips. Plus, he checked out the garage door opener, greased the chain and did a few other things not related to my issue at no additional charge and without being asked. Both Patrick and his assistant John were professional, polite and friendly as can be. He'll get the call the next time I need his services. Great price with excellent service. read more

Patrick Jr promptly replied to my inquiries and was able to come the very next day to check my garage door and offer an estimate of the repair costs. I had an old wayne dalton spring system (which seems to have failed within 8 years for most of my neighbors in our townhouse community). He was able to replace it with an industry-standard maintenance-free torsion spring system within an hour or so. Five stars for reasonable prices and great service. read more

Patrick was so fast to respond to my email and came out the very next day to assess the situation! (To be fair, he offered to come out the same day, but I was unavailable.) My garage door was fixed within 2 days! I found Patrick to be honest and forthcoming about the repairs and replacements needed for my garage. He was patient in walking us through everything we needed to know about the new motor and setting up the different devices. I would definitely use his services again! read more

Spoke to the owner Patrick via Yelp yesterday. I was given a fair quote and we scheduled an appointment for this morning at 7am. Patrick informed me he would even try to get here sooner. At about 7:10am, I reached out to Patrick to see if we were still on, but did not get a response. I waited an hour past our appointment time before I had to leave for work. I still haven't heard anything back. I am incredibly disappointed by this service, especially since I had to use sick time to schedule the appointment. Patrick was able to rectify the situation and came out and helped with another issue in my garage without charge. read more

Patrick Jr. was extremely quick and responsive to getting me a quote. Also he was able to come the same day and fix the problem. I had a spring that broke as well as cable issues. I would recommend Patrick and Son based on their excellent service levels. read more

Very professional, and got to my place quick and saw, and solved the issue immediately. Thanks guys. Stay safe.

Patrick provided fast service for my Garage Door repair in some very cold conditions. He was friendly and worked fast; plus showed up on time; Very easy to communicate with. There were no surprises working with him. I had a busted cable that had rusted out. He advised on the options and was very knowledgeable. Patrick told me had been doing Garage work in Schaumburg/ Northwest suburbs since he as 16 and loves it. I would use him again and would recommend him. I noticed there were several firms advertising as different companies; but were all one real company. You had to leave a voice message. I don't like that. Patrick advertises his work under one listing and uses his cell number. He is the real deal. read more

We were very happy with the services of Patrick and Son! We had a cable that broke off on our garage door so it wouldn't open. I found Patrick and Son on yelp and read the great reviews so I decided to get in touch. They promptly replied to my message and were able to come out and fix my door even on a Saturday! In addition to fixing the original problem, he also took care of a couple other small issues with the price remaining pretty reasonable. I would definitely use them again if we have any additional issues. read more

We found Patrick and Son through Amazon, and we are so glad we did!! I think the guy that came was Patrick, but regardless, he was fantastic!! He called and texted that he would be at our house by 2. He then arrived early (which I love) and got the whole job done in about an hour and a half. My husband, who is usually a stickler for services and people, was very impressed with the thoroughness of the job. He (Patrick?) checked everything, even noticing and then tightening the springs on our garage door. When my husband came out with our baby, he told my husband to take the baby inside because he would be spraying something and it might be too strong for the baby. The extra consideration was the icing on the cake. The garage opener is perfect. So much more quiet and smooth. They quoted us far less than other companies. I checked 6-7 others with the exact same model Patrick had quoted us. He finished his job and collected exactly what he had quoted. Overall, we are completely and super happy with the service and product! We are so happy our opener decided to break on us. If there is ever and issue with our garage opener, door, etc, I know who we are calling! read more

Our garage had completely stopped working and the springs were intact and the motor was working so didn't know what was going on! Patrick replied to messages instantly and scheduled to come the next morning as per my request. He went through a couple options with me and explained everything thoroughly before I made my decision! Reasonable cost & would definitely recommend this family owned company! read more
