I really liked Dr. Glatt but she retired in 2022. After that, yes, it was difficult to get an appointment. In 2023, Sutter closed the Novato office. Now, if you live in Novato, you have to drive to Sonoma County (Petaluma or Rohnert Park) to see a doctor. I am planning to switch doctors, don't want to drive when I'm sick. read more

Stay far away from this doctor -- she might, for example: * miscategorize your visit and not provide basic care so you have major out of pocket expenses; * forget she's ever seen you before, not review your patient records, and then ask you to fill out new patient forms on a repeat visit; * tell you she has no expertise or knowledge of an ailment and will need to refer you, but yet spend the entirety of the remaining time being overtly rude and skeptical about something she just told you she knew nothing about. I'm should have seen the reviews first on here before I even made an appointment but I kept the appointment because just maybe the experience will be a positive one. Oh should have known better.. Well first thing I am not impressed with Sutter Health to begin with. Patricia was actually nice and listen kinda but she referred me to an endocrinologist, by the way I do not need. And told me she can handle all my prescriptions from now on. One I'm looking for a primary general care doctor and not a specialist in a specific field. The endocrinologist was a waste of a co-pay and time. I feel like she just don't get me, or Sutter health for that matter. I had Cancer and I am in remission but I felt like they just didn't understand my needs. Understanding the patient isn't that what they are supposed to do? I guess not. Not sure how my review of Dr. Glatt vanished. She is an idiot - most rude doctor I've ever come across. She was my primary care for a year or two. I anyways never had good experience with her but just stayed with her as I was too lazy to find another doctor. I was sent by my obgyn to her to get my postpartum disability (due to extreme postpartum depression) document signed off. This idiot first gave me an ear full as to why she is not responsible for signing off on my document and then stormed out of the room cursing. I was crying all that time telling her I'm Not aware of the process and I was there as advised by my obgyn. I hate her for what she did to me. She knew very well how depressed I was, saw me crying and knew I was there all alone. Still she took out all her frustration on me. I can never forget how I drove back home with tears flowing out of my eyes and wanting to die. Wonder how she is still employed with Sutter health. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Glatts for almost 4 years and she is the best doctor I have ever had. She is smart, personable, caring, thorough and has a great sense of humor. In this day and age of bottom line corporate practices---she is a tribute to her profession and never once have I gotten the sense that she is too busy to see me or talk to me. It's a shame this office ended up being swallowed by the disaster that is Sutter North Bay. I really liked Dr Glatt, for me she was responsive and compassionate and knowledgeable. But since they moved to Novato it turned into a mess. Impossible to get appointments. I was in the ER and doctor said I needed a follow up in 48 hours.... they had zero appointments for a at least a week. And Glatt herself wasn't available for a few weeks. What's the point of having her as a primary if I can't get an appointment when I'm actually sick? Apparently this started because two of the doctors in the office left rather unexpectedly. We should take the hint as patients that maybe we should leave too. Don't even get me started on its unbearably inefficient phone system. The nurse was trying to get a hold of me... And when I called back I spent 20 minutes in an automated phone system wait line and they couldn't even figure out how to connect me to the nurse who called me first! Whatever happened to just leaving a number to the actual office so you could call the actual people that you're trying to talk to? Will never go near a Sutter office in North Bay again. read more

I'm very surprised to see negative reviews - Dr. Glatt has always been extremely thorough, buttoned up, kind (I never once felt rushed which in this day and age is unusual in a doctor's office), and she goes the extra step, printing out details on an unusual skin condition, connecting me with a team at Stanford doing research into an autonomic disorder - everything I could want in a primary care physician. I am so comfortable with her care that shes now my husband's primary care physician as well. read more

Although I did encounter some rudeness with the front office staff when scheduling the appointment over the phone (hence the 4 stars instead of 5), once at the office they were courteous and professional. Regarding Dr. Glatt, my experience her was overwhelmingly positive. She listens, she assess, and she provides feedback (albeit frank, which I don't mind). She is conservative in her treatment approach and not an alarmist, which I much prefer to someone that over treats. I've seen this doctor several times in the last couple years because she is the only primary care physician at Sutter on S. Eliseo in Greenbrae. Because of her, I've left Sutter Greenbrae. She is preoccupied, inconsiderate, and dismissive of both patient and other doctors. She is capable of putting on a good face and acting as if she cares but it's not genuine. One example ... When her phone rings and you are mid-sentence, she answers her phone and turns away from you or walks out the door. There are only two doctors in my long life about whom I've felt so very negatively. I can honestly say that I've had extremely good relationships with all my doctors except two, both from Sutter Greenbrae). Whoever the reviewer is who thinks Dr. Glatt is excellent is surely either her family or someone who caught her in a generous mood. When I lodged a complaint about her to staff, it's been obvious by the looks on their faces that this has happened before. I don't understand why Sutter has not been able to keep a decent, knowledgeable, even somewhat compassionate, primary care doctor at this clinic for a number of years. I'm editing this to apologize for saying I've left Sutter Greenbrae. I LOVE and am grateful for the Health and Wellness Center and the practitioners there. I just wasn't considering them as Greenbrae Sutter. I also use and appreciate my Sutter physicians in other towns. Just feeling more than a bit cranky about the changes made in the medical staff upstairs by replacing some very fine physicians with what I consider to be 2d class doctors. The office staff, on the other hand, are top notch. Seem to have their hands tied by all the bureaucracy, though. We wouldn't have to go out of town to our long respected physicians if Sutter hadn't moved them all over the Bay Area, leaving us in central Marin in a bit of a bind. read more

I have never been grossly disappointed with a doctor until I met Patricia Glatt MD. Being new to the area I needed a new health professional and found nothing professional about Patricia Glatt MD. As a new Blue Shield customer I was given a list of local doctors that work within the guidelines of their system and after a dart-throw I had an appointment with Patricia Glatt MD. Patricia Glatt MD has absolutely no clue how to work with Blue Shield and pharmacies. It has been over a week and I still have not been able to get the drugs I immediately need because Patricia Glatt MD does not understand that she must get or how to get Blue Shield's authorization for coverage... AND SHE DOES NOT CARE enough to sort through the process immediately and make it happen. I have been on the phone with her office, the pharmacist and Blue Shield for days now and the obstacle is Patricia Glatt MD. Patricia Glatt MD cannot be trusted with other people's health care. I find Patricia Glatt MD unqualified to act as a doctor. There is no magic to what her job entails or the process from A to Z to deal with insurance companies yet she fails every way possible. Luckily there are plenty of doctors looking for customers and Patricia Glatt MD will be in my rear view mirror before a second visit. Don't trust your health with Patricia Glatt MD... If you want a doctor who listens to you, treats what you are there for and respects you as a unique individual, then Dr. Glatt is not for you. This was my first encounter with Dr Glatt and my reason for going was to have an annual physical exam. I also needed a refill on a prescription that had been prescribed for me by my Family Practitioner of 30 years but has now retired. This prescription has worked for me without any side effects and is compatible with my other prescriptions. She told me that she would not prescribe it because she had something better in mind. Instead of conducting a physical exam, she sat at her computer for an hour typing. She kept looking at her watch and saying that this was taking too much time. I am very responsible with my prescriptions and do not abuse them by taking more than I should. However, she made me feel guilty for what I had been taking and dismissed everything I had to say. I felt as if I was being interrogated with her questions and some of her comments were rude and insulting. The whole experience brought tears to my eyes as I sat on a chair in the examining room, Even though I was there for a physical exam, she never performed one. I was never told to get up on the examining table. I had to ask her about my lab results from the blood tests prior to my visit. She quickly read them and made a few comments. Obviously she did not have the time to address my concerns and not once did she ask me anything about my body in general. I will try the prescription she has recommended because I want to do what is best for me. However, if it does not work or I have side effects, I will need to find a doctor who will work with me and respect my needs. read more

Dr. Glatt is so nice and genuinely cares about her patients. She is not rushed and listens closely to what is being said. After seeing her three times I am very impressed with her level of care and her warmth. I had not seen a primary care doctor in so many years, and I was afraid to go. After meeting Dr. Glatt I was so happy that I chose her. She is very intelligent and I feel confident with her decisions regarding my care. She has been very available via email and has taken good care of me. Her office is not crowded, ample parking and I never have to wait. My experience with Dr Glatt and her team at Sutter Health has been TERRIFIC :) I've been to see Dr Glatt 3 times now - she is one of the most caring and attentive Doctors I have ever met. She isn't practicing 'medicine' - she's practicing 'health', by that I mean she isn't the sort to nod a few times, write some prescriptions and get on to the next - she pays attention and spent over an hour with me (!!!!!) talking through the various options and steps for me to take. Dr. Glatt is thoughtful, considerate, and attentive. She is prompt and encouraging. I would recommend her to anyone!

She's professional. But cold. She does her job and seems very competent, but also seems stressed. I went to her several times and she provided prescriptions, but then I had trouble breathing and felt exhausted. I thought it might be a severe allergy, but I also thought I needed an x- ray to make sure. I emailed her asking for an x-ray and received a reply that was curt and didn't ask me come in, but told me to go to Terra Linda urgent care. She also said to not email her because she only read them at night. So I went to emergency and found I had pneumonia. But after 4 days when my breathing was worse. The next time I wrote I asked if I could come in because my BP was so high. No answer. After 4 or five days someone called and said they were sorry, but the team had just read the request and the doctor was on vacation. The nurses and staff are wonderful and I hated to leave but really had no medical care to speak of. Most of all the fifteen minutes the doctor is allowed for each patient isn't adequate. Plus the doctor is on the computer most of the time. That's probably the reason Dr. Glatt is so stressed and wasn't able to see me. read more

I must say that I do not recognize the person that J.O is describing in his/her review. I have seen Dr. Glatt twice, once late in 2014 and again very recently. Both times I saw her, she was very personable, kind, and attentive to my issues. She spent a long time with me going over my entire medical profile, making copious notes, offering treatment options and suggesting referrals to specialists. Subsequent to my first visit with her, I did have a little trouble trying to communicate with her through the Sutter online feature. Her initial answers weren't sufficiently responsive to my questions, and I had to follow up to get sufficient answers. Other than that, I have no complaints. Avoid this place. Don't know about the doctor and nurse, but the office staff members are incompetent. I was trying to schedule a simple office visit. The other family medicine doctors offices I called were not accepting new patients. Dr. Glatt's office was accepting new patients. (In retrospect that should have been my first clue). I was on hold forever. When I finally got a scheduler she confirmed Dr. Glatt was accepting new patients and asked for my insurance info, including my insurance identification number, date of birth, and a lot of additional info. She said their office policy requires they verify insurance before scheduling first appointments. I said that's fine and gave her my insurance company phone number. She put me on hold for a long time while she called my insurance company. Eventually, she came back on the line. She claimed my insurance company had said they had no record of me. That's absurd; I've been with the same insurance company through my employer for 25 years. Its great insurance --- not Obamacare. I've never had a insurance problem with any other doctor's office. She then put me on hold again. She never came back on the line; after about 10 - 15 minutes she disconnected me. I called my insurance company and explained what had just occurred. Unlike Dr. Glatt's office, my call was immediately answered and the rep was very helpful. She confirmed my coverage. The rep was very nice and volunteered to call Dr. Glatt's office to try and help the confused employee. She placed me on hold while she did so. After about 15 minutes, my insurance company rep came back on the line. She said Dr. Glatt's office answered, she got as far as verifying my coverage, but then the patient rep at Dr. Glatt's office put her on hold and left her on hold for 15 minutes. I thanked her for trying. I then called Dr. Glatt's office back, but got a different scheduler. I gave her my name and attempted to briefly summarize what had occurred earlier. I asked for the same scheduler I had previously talked to, so I wouldn't have to repeat everything. (The first scheduler had obviously started entering me in their system, since the second scheduler was able to locate me on their computer using my name and date of birth.) She refused to connect me to the first scheduler. The second scheduler had trouble processing simple information like the name of my insurance company and what had occurred in the earlier phone call. At that point I had enough and I informed her I would be seeking the services of another doctors office. Avoid this place. read more

I've seen Dr. Glatt three or four times in the last couple years and each time my experience with her exceeds the previous one. What I like best about her: she listens, she never rushes me, she's got a curious mind and is willing to explore options and alternatives with me, she explains things in plain English (with some fun analogies), she's energetic and enthusiastic and seems to really like being a doctor. I've always felt both comfortable with her and professionally guided by her. I've been with several primary care physicians over the years and I've finally found one I want to stay with. In addition, her staff is the absolute best: meticulous, attentive, friendly, thorough, and generally nice, genuine people.
