I contacted Seal King Somerset and was told it was because our driveway is shaded. They came back to reapply and this time it dried in a couple of days...more evidence the sealant in the first application was defective. Looked good until Spring, when it started flaking off in large pieces, eventually turning to "mud", and finally a fine black powder that was tracked everywhere, including inside the house. I contacted them again and they said they would do it a third time, but at this point I did not trust they knew what they were doing. I asked for at least a partial refund and was told they do not give refunds...an example of their version of customer service. We had another vendor come out and they said they had never seen anything like it and SK's claims about shade were false. They said the first application was likely defective, which prevented the second application from adhering. Ended up hiring the other company and it dried in 24 hours and looks great. AVOID SEAL KING SOMERSET!

Plus, it feels like they take care of their employees as I see some of the same people and this is from shopping here multiple years. The plant and tree selection looked healthy, the black dirt was sheltered and loading materials was lightning fast. Mangold horticulture is responsible for destroying my hosta garden. I started this garden in 2009…read moreand had purchased several expensive Hosta's and perennials to be placed in my garden. Last summer my hosta garden is just about completely gone. I reached out to Mangold to let them know that I had seen two employees spraying in my garden and another pulling up my perennials. They have taken no responsibility and refused to return my phone calls or emails. I also had a hosta garden in my backyard from 2009 and when they put rock down in my neighbors backyard they took all of my 14 year old hostas. They did not replace these, nor give me an explanation as to why they just took them. I am devastated at what my beautiful garden looks like now. Not to mention the amount of money I spent on these gardens on a limited income. It just depresses me every time I look out at my garden in which I spent years creating and money to see this devastation.
