One thing you can say about living in Arizona is you are constantly reminded of the sun. My wife and I moved to north Buckeye a couple of years ago and as you can see from the attached pictures; our home is exposed to the South. While this provides us with spectacular views, it made it virtually impossible to enjoy our backyard for the hottest months of the year. We knew we needed to find a durable shade solution and our search culminated in a phone call to Patio Partners, in Surprise. We scheduled a consultation with Jim Doyle, who came out and helped us imagine what type of structure would work best for our home. We received a fair proposal, which was less than other companies who never bothered to drive out to Sun City Festival. Rather, they quoted off the size I said I wanted and a copy of our plot plan. We entered into an agreement with Patio Partners, and they began the permitting process with the city of Buckeye. Another thing you can say about living in Arizona is the wind is one of your constant companions. To ensure that any structure doesn't get blown away, code requires you to dig massive footings for each post that will support the structure. Our patio cover is fifty-five feet wide and extends from our house from eleven feet to twenty-one feet with a span of over thirty feet between the two furthest posts. The crew from Patio Partners had to dig six of these footings around our existing hardscape. They managed to do this without harming any of our plants or the Travertine border around our yard because they dug these footings by hand. The pergola went up in a couple of days after the footings were poured and it looks spectacular. The quality of the materials and craftsmanship are five-star (like this review) because they have great people who take pride in what they do. My wife and I highly recommend this company and encourage you to give them a call if you need any shade solutions. read more

Jamie did a great job on my patio (carport). It was exactly as I expected. I've gotten so much compliments on it. Wish I was able to hand out his business cards when people stopped by. But, should they come and ask, I will surely tell them it was Patio Partners who did it ! Thanks again Jamie ! read more

Patio Partners completed a patio pergola for us today, 8/18/2020. Ken did a great job during the bid/sales process and provided a very competitive bid. The material quality is top of the line. Patio Partners helped process all of my approval paperwork with my HOA to help make this the easiest process. Installation: John and Mark are very skilled and talented tradesmen and completed this job in less than two days. They followed the plans and paid extra attention to the details. I simply can't find a flaw in any of the work they performed... and I'm super picky. I would recommend this company to anyone. See the production photos for this project. It certainly adds usable space to my patio. Thanks guys for the great work read more

I am so happy we found Patio Partners! We got estimates from several different companies, and were not happy with the prices, lack of communication and the over the top requirements they said we had to do. Patio Partners came in, were familiar with the city requirements and built exactly what we wanted. Thank you Patio Partners! read more

PATIO PARTNERS: When asking for an estimate for a Patio Cover, via their website, a response came within days from Patio Partners. Time and date for rep to come out was set and within a week Leroy was here taking measurements for the patio cover, providing suggestions as well. After 3 estimates from companies, we selected Patio Partners, not just for a good/fair price, but because they were very professional providing us the scope of the project and what would best fit our needs..I might add, no business we have worked with in the past for home improvement, were as outstanding in their communication in keeping us informed every step of the way ! Job was completed from estimate to completion, in less than 1 month. We have a great looking patio cover! Thank you, Kevin Mayville, Leroy, Mark and John...and all who were involved in the process :) The Millans - Sun City West, AZ read more

Fast response to request for bid. Good quality product and craftsmanship. Left workplace neat and tidy. Good communication during contracting and construction phases but could have used more during ordering phases. read more

Didn't like the customer service or the changing of prices when questioned. I'm not here to negotiate. Give me your best price up front

Patiently waited thru supply problems. Understandable. But the crappy craftsmanship of install then hiding by refusal of communication. $3,000.00 for a patio that leaks, not a good deal. At the end of the day, Customer service is what your known for and remembered. You can't manufacture integrity and be spoken well of by doing a bad job then ignoring the issue. You won't be in business long. read more

I come from a background of 3 generation of custom home builders and I know custom design and quality and the produced a wonderful product. They worked with me on my vision and made it happen. I spoke with another competitor and they said the span was too large. Patio Partners not only engineered it to my design request but they beat the other companies price by 4k. It is gorgeous. read more

My Son is a passive young man so I write this review on his behalf. He called PP for an estimate. He explained that he wanted "an extension of his house" Pointing out the neighbor's to the south. A wooden structure. They gave him an estimate that accounted for materials, but not what the materials were. He financed the $8k and they came to install while he was at work. When he got home he found half the work done on a metal structure. He was distraught. He called and left a message as well as emailed. No one called him back, or replied. They came the following day and completed the install. The actual patio looks ok, but that is not what he wanted. I cannot say they did "bad work", but in my book, a company that gets a signature for an $8,000 home improvement should have the courtesy to call the customer back. No one we know will ever use, or recommend this company for that reason. read more

I have no idea if their product is good but I do know I have been waiting since October 2020 for them to install my patio! I was told initially that the orders were taking a little longer than normal because of Covid and that the jobs were out about 10 weeks. On 2 occasions I was assured the job would be done by Christmas... I guess I should of asked what year because it is now March 2021 and even though I have paid 1/2, I have received nothing other than reasons why things are delayed or (even more frustrating) platitudes such as we should have your order next month, next week or in the next day or two. Yet, here I am still waiting! I left a message on their recorder today asking for a return call with real information for when my job will be completed... I will update this rating when (or if) they get back to me. If you are thinking about having work done by this company and want the job done in a reasonable amount of time. You need to look elsewhere or get your deadline in writing! read more

We had our cover installed in June. The cover does a great job with the shade and it looks very nice. However the issues we had were communication (I rarely received a call back and had to call them) and with the recent rains it leaked in several spots. Also I can never get the windows above cleaned or repaired. One of our screens blew off in the storms and the screen company can not replace it because you can not walk on the cover, there is no way for them to reinstall the screen. I would not recommend this type of cover for a two story home. I wish this would have been pointed out during the estimate. My window screen rep called and was told by Jaime that "they do not come out and do anything and he would not recommend putting boards across the roof because we do not have their experience or expertise. I asked him how we are supposed to correct this problem and he said the roof isn't made to be ". So in short, I would not recommend for a two story home. I'm really disappointed that I was not aware of this. Not sure how we will be able to paint and wash windows either. Not a sturdy product to be able to access and maintain that portion of home. read more

Patio Partners installed 2 different patio covers, both are the solid kind in white and they are very very nice. I highly recommend Patio Partners, everyone that I worked with were very friendly and helpful. I have gotten a lot of compliments on them and have recommended them to people in my neighborhood. The man that did the install did a fantastic job, I have not had any problems with my patio covers at all. I got several bids from different companies and found Patio Partners prices very competitive with the others. read more

This review is long over due, but I have been recommending these guys since about March 2020. Our backyard is visible from the hiking trail that runs behind our house. We've had so many people stop and complement the pergola installed by Patio Partners and ask for contact information. Including a recent landscaper who came to plant a tree in our yard. Ken was great in helping us decide on what to install, and Brandon the installer was a great guy to have hanging around the backyard for the time it took to install. My overall experience was excellent and I would highly recommend this company to anyone in the market looking for a little more shade. read more

Patio Partners - Pergola by Patio Partners - Awnings Near Me - Surprise, Arizona

We decided to put a cover over our pool equipment to mitigate the damage from the AZ summer sun. We saw that Patio Partners were local to us so I called and was referred to Lyndon. He was available that same afternoon. He took some measurements and made some very wise suggestions based on his experience. Unlike other companies, Lyndon took a few minutes and presented the estimate that same day in person. No waiting for your estimate to arrive by email. Our installation was completed within 8 days of the estimate. Our installer was Brandon. He is a very experienced and capable installer. He continued to check with us to make sure we were happy with the progress. DId we have any special requirements, etc? Brandon explained everything thoroughly and cleaned up his job site meticulously. I would recommend Patio Partners and Brandon without hesitation. read more

Reasonable price, expert install and perfect finished product. Communication throughout the project was great.

We requested and received a bid for a large pergola. Clark (the rep) gave us a bid that we were fairly sure was incorrect (too low). We had to reduce the square footage of the plan (due to set back regulations) so we requested a new bid based on the smaller square footage (had to call twice to get a response). Clark acknowledged that he had made an error on the first bid (too low) and the new bid was more than the original. Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, we missed the signing deadline (on the higher bid), and requested that they resend the updated bid. We have requested it 3 times and have not heard back from anyone in the company. Very frustrated with the lack response. Update in response to the owner's comment below.....The contract was written for Arthur L**** in Litchfield Park. read more

Submitted a request for an estimate. Amanda was immediately responsive. Leroy was out to the house within a week. Very good, very professional. Anticipated quote never arrives. Called them a couple weeks later, had to leave a message. No response. Called again a week after that. No response. If they don't want the job? Fine. But ghosting a potential client? Stupidly unprofessional. read more

We love our new pergola, it has added a whole new usable living space for us. We are so happy with our purchase and look forward to enjoying it for a long time to come. read more

This company has had constant delays and excuses for non delivery and endless delays of installation since the initial activation of ordering materials for completion of the Pergola at our home. It took almost 3 weeks before they submitted a request for a city permit. In the meantime they requested half of the full amount of pergola For ordering supplies. Supplies were not ordered until we were four weeks into this order, after the down payment. After they ordered the materials they say 5 weeks before materials come in. Then another phone call tells us it will be another week delay before materials arrive! That's 6 weeks! How long then will it be before they schedule installation??!! We cannot recommend this company. read more

I just had my covered patio installed and I love it. This company was recommended by my new neighbor who has the model home purchased 20 years ago and her patio was installed around that time frame, and it still looks perfect today. I would definitely recommend this company. read more

We just had a pergola installed on 5/19/20.what a great experience we had from the company from the salesman Clark, office lady, installer. Clark was very knowledgeable and helpful and gave me an estimate right then, which there price was very good. He spent a lot of time with us on best materials to use, color etc. the office staff called me a couple of times to tell and keep me informed on what was happening with delivery and installation date. Our installer was great and very thorough and precise on making sure the installation was to our satisfaction. Overall I recommend this company for any patio enclosures you have. read more

I can not recommend this company. It is very apparent that they continue to take sales knowing that they will be unable to get the materials in a timely fashion. They use the pandemic as an excuse and have sent emails stating they are doing everything they can to get the jobs completed. Their contract is loaded with what ifs in their favor so I would seriously consider the fact that you will wait forever to get your project done before signing and giving them 50% down of final cost. I had tried to cancel but when I did, I was only then given the amounts of cost they incurred and with the cancellation fee that would equate to almost half of my down payment. I cant afford to give away that much to a company that really didn't do much to earn such a free paycheck. You have to question their guarantee seeing they have so much trouble getting supplies now, if you needed something replaced it could only take a very long time to get. So I would seriously look to someone else to do your projects instead of Patio partners. Or at the very least, when sitting down with the salesman, dictate your own terms as to what you will put down and how to pay the balance. It is a trying time for all and with the state on the verge of shutting down with the rising numbers of covid, I have no doubt the wait times will be longer and you shouldn't have to lose a ton of money to cancel a job that already knew it couldn't complete in a timely fashion. read more

Just had a 14' x 22' Aluma Lattice designed and installed by Phoenix Patio Systems and my wife and I are very please and excited with the outcome of the project. Gary the salesman did a great job of designing and laying out the project and the installers (a father/son duo) were very courteous, professional and friendly. They cleaned up after they were done and always took time to answer any questions I had, which is important because I am the type of person that wants to understand how things work. Just wish I had more projects for them to do. read more

I received an on-site visit for a pergola proposal from a sales rep. After receiving the written proposal I tried to book the install with 50% down and the sales person said he made a mistake and the proposal would be "a lot" higher. Unfortunately the new owners who took over in 2018 do not have the same standards for customer service as the original owners who were in business for 25 years. 5-years ago I had a Pergola installed with Phoenix Patios and had a wonderful experience. Over a month ago I had 3 new Pergolas and apparently since I worked with a contractor even though I paid for the service, 100% customer satisfaction does NOT apply. I sent the owners, Gary & Michelle an email on 8/27/18 explaining the circumstances of my new Pergola install. I absolutely hate the location of where the Pergolas were placed and was quoted an additional $1800 to have them re-placed/fixed. My email was read two weeks ago and I have yet to have the courtesy of any kind of response from Gary or Michelle. A quote from their website states: "The team at Phoenix Patio Systems takes pride in exceeding your expectations, bringing your project in on time and serving you with the highest professional standards every time. That's why the Better Business Bureau ranks our organization as an A+ business" Just words they do not stand behind any standards and the BBB will be notified. read more
