Izzy at the door sets the tone every single time. She remembers everybody, makes you feel like you've been missed, and runs that front like a pro. You can tell she actually cares about who's walking in. Shawna and Mariko behind the bar are the best one-two punch in town. Shawna knows exactly what I want before I order it and still surprises me with something new when I'm feeling adventurous. Mariko keeps the conversation going and pours like she's been doing this her whole life. Watching them work the bar on a busy night is a show in itself. Jodi and Lani on the floor round it out. Jodi takes care of me like I'm the only table in the room, even when the place is packed. Lani always has a story, always has a smile, and always makes sure my glass is never empty. They've turned regular nights into some of my favorite memories in this city. I've been to a lot of lounges. None of them feel like this one. As I've heard this ALoft is a very new hotel, and it shows (in a good way!). They have a nice ambiance and between their furniture and the rest of the ALoft lobby, there is a pool table, there are board games and TVs, there's also an outdoor patio to take drinks. I've tried their food once, their burgers were pretty good. For drinks, I tried one of their seasonal Smoked Old Fashioned's (made with Buffalo Trace) which was pretty good and a good price ($13), as well as their frozen drinks (pina coladas and strawberry daiquiris, $15 each). Two different bartenders worked my drinks this trip and they both did a good job. I've enjoyed hanging out in Vegas off-strip and Henderson, I still have a fun time, I've gotten good food and drinks that weren't so pricy. Wanting to stay away from the strip and closer to home this bar is a fantastic location for both of us. Flare is located in the Silverton Hotel in the middle of the casino. Free covered parking, no cover, minimal people, and not touristy; perfect place for us. We arrive at different times, with my friend still stuck in traffic I just sit with a beer waiting. After she arrives she orders a Crown and Coke. I give the bartender the card and ask him to start a tab. As we sit here the orange and red hues wash over us from above, bathing us in its color. As it switches to bluish green we notice the pink coloring. My bff is smiling now we are getting somewhere. The smile from my bff is perfection and it is so great to see her smile. The tears were checked at the elevator as I watched her approach Flare and her eyes were immediately engulfed in the changing lights from above my head as I sat at the bar. That's what we had, everyone likes happy hour prices. With work tomorrow and my bff mood changed we are going to find some food. They do not sell food here so it's off to find something delicious to absorb all the alcohol we partook of.
