My family and I have been coming here since this place opened, and every time we come has been great! We got to the point where they know my family when we come in, and always have a pleasant time. Its a cute little Chicago style place. Super nice that it is all family run, and you can tell that they really do put love into their food. At this point, I have tried pretty much everything on the menu, and I really do recommend everything! The portions are very nice, and the food is not expensive at all. The people behind the counter were very nice and friendly as well. I've been coming here for at least 15 years, and I love it! They have the best gyro in the city, bar none! And I've recently discovered that their 1/2 lb cheeseburger is awesome too - forget McDonald's or other fast food spots - definitely come here for your burger craving! 8/2021 Was here 4 years ago. Ok if it is another 4 years. Food was tasty. That was the saving grace. But the size of my corned beef sandwich was insane! And no hot mustard? Really? This place doesn't surprise or disappoint! Little bit run down on the inside, but that doesn't matter because the prices are low and the food is good. They take credit card, there's a restroom for customers, and parking lot on site. $6.95 for two Chicago style hot dogs on poppy seed buns with all the fixings (mustard, ketchup, onion, relish, pickled hot peppers, quarter pickle slice, celery salt), side of small fries and a small fountain soda pop --- wow, I love to eat, and this was almost too much food. Completely hit the spot. No free refills, but you can get cold water from the cooler, or pay for refills. Fries are soo crispy salty delicious!! $6.95 for a Gyro --- real fluffy pita bread, fresh tomatoes, onion and lots of sauce. This will not dry out your mouth! Meat was made of lamb and beef, and was moist and flavorful. You can get the Gyro plate for $8.95 and add a soda. A lot of people coming in and getting sandwiches or grilled chicken. Their Italian beef sandwich seems to be a hit at $6.95 each. The most expensive thing on the menu is the deep fried seafood platter for $11.95, flounder, shrimp, scallops, and fries. They have a condiments station with celery salt, S&P, ketchup, mustard and plastic utensils. Definitely coming back again! read more

The woman working the register was very pleasant and aided my brother, who was unsure what to order. Our food was ready within about 10 minutes, and I was a little concerned that my burger would be lifeless and dry and that my fries would slump when picked up. I was pleasantly surprised! My food was piping hot, and my burger was juicy. The fries weren't as crunchy as I like, but that could be a matter of preference. Patio Beef is an amazing local Italian Beef stand. It has a classic Chicago ambiance and is an amazing place to stop in for lunch or dinner. While it is definitely more of a neighborhood establishment you can also take out of town guests here for a more authentic take than some of the usual downtown spots. My boyfriend and I decided to try this place out since it's around the corner from us, great idea! He had the double burger and large fries with a side order of cheese and I had their polish sausage with a large fries and a side of cheese. Their burgers are charred so they taste phenomenal, the fries were perfect, and their cheese was really good. I liked their polish sausage a lot too but definitely wished I ordered a burger. I'm very sad to write that all good things must come to an end. Today, after receiving the wrong order, I phoned to let them know because I wanted to come and get the right order. The cashier proceeded to tell me she was right, I was wrong. I told her that I ordered a hot dog, no relish, extra sport peppers, which doesn't even translate into a hamburger as hamburgers don't have relish or sport peppers. She continued to argue with me, saying that she knows I ordered a hamburger and then was indignant because I was irritated. This place food quality remain similar to when I first visit here 11 year ago . I remember they had the jumbo hot dog special for $2 back then and all my friends would come here to eat after we got out of school or whenever we left the library next to it. I really like the people that work there. They are so friendly. The husband and wife. There is a pretty gal that work there also. These 3 have been working here since I first visited this place. I always liked their shrimp basket or the 4 piece chicken dinner. Their burger, hot dog, gyros, etc all taste good to me. Remember to get Cajun fries with your order. read more
