We brought our 4yo daughter here under a recommendation that she get evaluated for speech and audio…read moreconcerns. We appreciate how honest the therapist was about how she didn't see any underlying concerns with her in this area and was not pushy about continuing therapy sessions. But we did discuss perhaps occupational therapy to help her with feeding for future development. So we booked a few feeding OT sessions with Nadia and my daughter was in love with her from day 1. She was kind, patient and instantly connected with our daughter in trying to pin point the best way to encourage her to open up on how she interacts with food. Would highly recommend.

My son has been attending speech therapy sessions at Fairfax Pediatric Therapy since early January…read more He is almost 9 and has always struggled with his "s," "sh," and "ch" sounds - but we waited to see if he would grow out of it (he didn't). On recommendation of our dentist, we tried some videos to help him with speech, but we were not successful on our own. After a Zoom call with Ariel and Ahmad, the speech therapist, we felt very confident and comfortable with Fairfax Pediatric Therapy. After the first session, my son made huge strides in his "sh" sounds - he was actually able to articulate it correctly, even if it was a struggle. Long story short, as of today (3 months after starting) Finn has met all of his speech goals and no longer needs the services. Both Ahmad and Finn worked hard to make this happen - and in such a short time. I didn't expect progress so fast, to be honest. Not only that - my kiddo actually looked forward to the sessions. Ahmad took the time to get to know his interests - chess and strategy games - and built the sessions around play. When we left today, for the last time, Finn said he was going to miss his friend. We have had the best experience! Thank you.

When I walked in to the center and I was greeted by two very nice young ladies at the front desk. This is an amazing rehab facility from the office personnel to the OT and PT (Physical Therapy), including SP (Speech Therapy therapists. I've been through physical therapy with them a few times and the therapists here are the best. Cathleen with the help from her assistance Ashley put me throw the paces two times a week for 8 weeks in order to regain strength in my right ankle and , lessen the pain in both knees,. Cathleen would showed me how to do each exercise and then had me do them. Well at first I felt like a real failure but she would give me the encouragement to succeed. Cathleen always challenge me to do the my best and by the time I finished with all the sessions I left better then when I started. Everyone there is personable and care for a patient's well-being. I would I HIGHLY recommend Cathleen or any of the other staff because they always have a smile and an encouraging word as you are training. Thank you Cathleen and Ashley!!!!

The current phone staff, however, can be off-putting however. There is no empathy when you call or interact with them. Very business like, cold. with seeming little interest in the client, as opposed to the schedule and cancellations. Since those who man the phones are the first point of contact, It can sour one's experience. With this site that focuses on clients with Parkinson's, it is imperative that everyone involved have some appreciation of the challenges that clients and their families are experiencing.

Am I really the first?…read more My son sees Ms. Lindsay and Ms. Magdelena for OT and Speech. He used to see Jo Ann until the scheduling didn't work out. They have two locations: Annandale and McLean. We've been to both. The Annandale location is closer to us to drive to from Loudoun County, although I prefer the McLean location...because there are more things to do while waiting. Annandale not so much, you have to sit put. We've been very very happy with Skill Builders and my son gets excited to see his therapists each visit. I mean he runs happy from the car to the office and can't wait, especially for Ms. Lindsay for OT. We drive an hour each way from the next county over just to come here.

She advocates for all her clients and goes that extra mile to match your child with the perfect therapist. It always helps that she hires only the best therapists in Northern VA. Everyone at Skill Builders is amazing and we owe so much to the company and their therapists. Thank you for always being there for our family and helping all our children being their best selves! My children still talk about how they miss Mrs. Melissa and Mrs. Fern! My daughter adores Ms. Katie and it's the best day of her week when she gets to go to Skill Builders. Literally dances her way into the office singing her " Im going to see Ms Katie" song! We love Cari and she really advocates for our children not only in the office but in our community of special needs children. You want a pro like Cari on your side and you see this is more than just a job for her. I would trust Cari with my life! Skill Builders has transformed my children and our family and I can't thank you enough for everything you have done for us!

Once we realized my younger son…read moreneeded help we went around for evaluations at different places and decided on Creative Health. I believe it was the best decision we could've made because my son gets both speech and OT therapy that is coordinated. The therapists, all the staff, Judy and Richard have been a wonderful support to our family and we can honestly say that thanks to this amazing team both of my sons have made great progress. My younger son went from not being able to communicate and being afraid of the world around him and many activities that most toddlers do to being able to communicate/have conversations and engaging with other children and activities. He's now making great progress on his fine motor skills, so many of his sensory challenges have resolved and he's even eating different foods/textures now. There are so many progresses my kids have made that it's hard to list them all. I'm thankful we found this facility. Their DIR Floor time approach helped my son to be comfortable with his team so when we started he didn't spend time in meltdown mode and was able to participate and engage with his therapists. I believe this approach was very key to the success we've seen in his progress. I believe having both speech and OT in this whole/body whole/person approach has had a great positive impact. Additionally, the facility really meets their therapy needs with spacious rooms with different themes and different activities to work on different therapy needs. My kids are excited and happy to go to therapy. They are never bored as they go to different rooms each week that keeps them engaged. Judy and Richard and the therapists always make time for me whenever I have a question or just need someone to talk to. Richard really set our minds at ease with dealing the insurance companies. He understand their billing and makes sure we understand our coverage so we can get the most services covered for our kids. The therapists are very knowledgeable and work so well with the kids. Judy has let us look over her library of books and resources and been a great support. We do Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Listening Therapy, Interactive Metronome. We highly recommend Creative Health!

It's a 35 minute drive for me WITHOUT traffic but she's truly worth the drive. Shay is very good at explaining why she assigns the tests or exercise she has you do, and tries her best to make sure each session is worth it. She worried that she was not helping me improve or that she wasn't helping and I truly appreciate her thoughts in making sure that I can recover fully. But ofc we did find out I have been improving! I'm probably her most troublesome patient as I always come in with something new since I have issues with both my hands. She is even handy with crafts and has taped me for support, and taught me how to do it myself! I also really appreciate Tony, the front desk person, who is super quick and is able to estimate what my medical bills will approximately look like. I'll probably be a long term patient but this arrangement is definitely worth it for me.

I have gone to other places that barely care about the patients, are incredibly rude, and overwork them with exercises even when you tell them it's too much.
